  1. Actually I consider the collapses of the towers relatively unimportant compared to economists ignoring the depreciation of automobiles and other Durable Consumer Goods since 1950. Black Americans not figuring when White experts are lying becomes part of that. One of the verifiable PhD economists that Blocked me on BlueSky was a Black woman. I note that you made no comment about my analogy with the Hummer and the Volkswagen. Was it complicated?
  2. An attempt at sarcasm? It is not as boring as basketball?
  3. I have NeVeR said anything about a hijacking of any planes. I keep saying that I am talking about physics. Stuff that high school kids should understand to a degree and experts should be able to track down data for or even recompute from scratch. There are lots of skyscrapers around the world. #1. Skyscrapers MUST support their own weight. Does anyone think level 105 contained the same amount of steel as level 5 that had to support the weight of 21 times as many stories? #2. So where is the data on the tons of steel and tons of concrete on each level? #3. Why haven't EXPERTS asked about and been discussing such data for 23 years. #4. This data involves the Conservation of Momentum and the speed of the collapse. Analogy using cars: If a Hummer going 30 mph hits a parked Volkswagen Beetle it is going to slow down because of the change of Momentum due to the impact. If a Volkswagen Beetle going 30 mph hits a parked Hummer it is going to slow down more than the Hummer did. Everybody knows this from life experiences even if they cannot do the calculations. So where have EXPERTS discussed this phenomenon in relation to the top of the North Tower falling onto the intact lower 85 stories and the collapse time being less than 30 seconds. See: Nothing about a hijacking. That is a people issue not a physics issue.
  4. Just explain why you cannot find distribution of steel data AND no experts talking about it. Is that too difficult for your understanding of Physics? I am looking over that MIT PDF again. I probably haven't seen it in more than 5 years. So far lots of stuff about steel temperatures but they keep saying "MAY HAVE". But there were no fires below the 90th floor of the North Tower anyway. .
  5. No, YOU just need to learn some physics. I DO NOT CARE who did what but skyscrapers MUST be designed to hold themselves up. The really funny thing is that I can name two science fiction books written before 9/11 which contain incidents similar to the destruction of a tower. And in both cases computers were used to do simulations to analyze the events. And yet after 23 years we do not have computer simulations of the North Tower collapse. Now that ironic reality simulating art.
  6. What does "filled with fuel mean"? The fuel capacity was 24,000 gallons. Most sources say it had 10,000 gallons, 40% full, though some say 7,000.
  7. This turned up on the 4th: But the Star Wars fans say a red sword is for a Sith Lord.
  8. Unsolved problems are a trigger. How does a household keep track of wealth without noticing Depreciation of cars and doing Accounting? How do people bitch and moan about the economy without noticing planned obsolescence and the depreciation of hundreds of millions of cars? But then it is All PHYSICS! The Twin Towers Depreciated really, really fast. Faster than the barrels on artillery pieces in the Ukraine. Back in the day I intended to get Master's Degrees in Electrical Engineering and Physics. I applied to MIT. It cost me $50 in 1969 just to apply. Try finding what MIT said about the Twin Towers. https://web.mit.edu/civenv/wtc/PDFfiles/Chapter VI Materials & Structures.pdf It has been years since I looked for it. The word steel used 74 times. No idea how much more steel was toward the bottom. What was the story with horizontal beams in the core. There are computer simulations of climate for the next 80 years. How could you do a computer simulation of the North Tower collapse without the distribution of mass of steel?
  9. I spent 13 years in Catholic schools. I decided that I was an agnostic in 7th grade. The picture of Cardinals that I posted is an excellent indication of how much I care about the Catholic Church. I decided which Catholic high school to attend. I thought the straight D's I got in religion was very funny next to my straight A's in math, freshman year. In a way what I am talking about is Mind Control. The Jesuits have a saying, "Give me a child until he is seven years old and he is mine for life." The social psychology of European Culture has affected the World! Somebody brought up 9/11. Physics vs Psychology mind control. .
  10. My mother sent me to a Catholic school. Haoles in control! I remember one morning in 3rd grade, 8 years old, trying to keep from crying because the idea of getting through another day of ABYSMAL BOREDOM was so Repugnant. Then I discovered Science Fiction in 4th grade. Star Surgeon by Alan Edward Nourse https://gutenberg.org/ebooks/18492 After that I was hunting down Science Fiction books that my mother called "Something Crazy". She did have a set of encyclopedia outside my bedroom door. I used those encyclopedia more to look up stuff I found in SF books than I did for school. Boredom at school was no longer a problem because I could sit there giving the Nitwit Nuns less than 20% of my attention while thinking about something else entirely. I cannot recall a single book from my parents thru K-8. If they had suggested something I would have read it. The only reason I trust White people to tell me the time of day is because it is so easy to check. So why don't Black Americans have a K-12 Recommended book list for Black kids. I have suggested books on Black websites for years. I actually think Black Americans are more stingy with knowledge than White people. And I think part of the problem is forcing kids to compete with each other. Black boys/men are real competitive but mostly about physical stuff, sports and fighting. BORING!!!
  11. When I was 10 my mother told me that my books were "Something Crazy"! I stood there looking up at her thinking about my 30 or 40 books, most of which I had read multiple times. Mostly science fiction but Jack London's White Fang was there too. I ignored my mother because the Boring Nuns she sent me to NeVeR taught science. So I wonder how underclass I would be if I had taken my mother seriously. There is this saying, "The hand that rocks the cradle rules the world." It is undoubtedly an exaggeration, but only an exaggeration. Different kinds of power. But our reactions to the Haoles are suboptimal. .
  12. In some cities, like Salt Lake City, there are 8 blocks per mile. In Chicago the numbering system is a mile per 100. Some blocks are full size and some are smaller. State Street is the Zero line for East and West. Halsted is 800 West. 1 mile west of State Street. Stoney Island is 1600 East, 2 miles East of State Street. I am talking about FACTS! The buildings had to hold themselves up. Therefore the designers had to figure out how to distribute the steel and how much weight was where because of the concrete. Supposedly 34 tons of Jet Fuel affected an unspecified quantity of steel on LEVELS impacted by airliners. Conspiracies are Irrelevant. I am talking about analyzing PHYSICS which cannot be done without Data. I do not care what people BELIEVE. I do find it curious that so many people object to having accurate data. .
  13. 110 Km per hour is less than 70 mph. The tops of the Twin Towers were supposed to sway 36 inches in a 150 mph wind. Some design flaw! But that never got tested. Supposedly a couple of 200 ton airliners took them down in less than 2 hours. A 10,000 page $16,000,000 report cannot even discuss the steel distribution. Missing information bothers me. .
  14. That video is 4 years old and it has been a while since I saw it, but my memory works reasonably well. I went looking for it because I thought it said a woman discovered the problem. So it is curious how so much information cannot be trusted. Which one is correct? But it is the Physics that matters to me not all of this social bullshit
  15. I have seen another video about THAT building. My interest in a proper analysis of the destruction of the Twin Towers is not a quixotic thing
  16. I have a thread where I wrote about economics and the economics profession ignoring the depreciation of durable consumer goods. That brings up planned obsolescence and ACCOUNTING for the depreciation of durable consumer goods. I once asked a PhD economist to explain how a gas engine worked. He couldn't even start but he drove a white SUV. In the 1980s I bought a 4-unit apartment building. If I had had an accounting course when I was in high school the financial management of that building would have been much easier. I probably could have found lots more tax deductions and been better organized. But I don't even know if my high school had an accounting course when I was there. To me it looks like Black Americans let White people tell us what EDUCATION is. And working at IBM certainly showed me that the White people are hiding information from each other. So there is more to the game than Racism.
  17. It has been becoming socially discouraged to express it. How many ways does it get implemented without notice. I applied for a job as an electronic tech at a company that made laser and electron beam welding machines. They had some really cool tech. I aced their test. When they were escorting me out the old guy giving me the "Don't call us, we'll call you." lecture said, "It doesn't matter how much you know about electronics, you have to know welding." There was not a single question about welding on that test. See if demonstrating that you are smarter than some White guys doesn't bring out Racism right quick. Intelligence and knowledge are two things. Lots of people with knowledge. What happens when the problem demands both? But that is "Acting White"!
  18. I didn't say FREE, I said GOOD. Lots of information that you have to pay for is bullshit. And important parts can be missing. I had to write my own benchmarks at IBM and I was an employee.
  19. So how do you determine if there was a design flaw in a couple of buildings that stood for 28 years and withstood 100 mph winds on 6 occasions in that time though "experts" won't even discuss the distributions of steel and concrete down the structures and "normal people" won't even ask. We have had 23 years for them to discuss it. If you bring up the subject "Conspiracy Theorist, Conspiracy Theorist", run for your brains. The Twin Towers were designed to sway 36 inches at the top in a 150 MPH wind. MILES not those wimpy Kilometers. A MILE is 8 city blocks. A Kilometer is only 5 city blocks. Trying to find data on the 6 100 mph incidents. Someone told me that in my years of discussing this but lots of the Internet has changed in 20 years.
  20. Sharing good information should be faster.
  21. Money and Wealth are different things. People who throw away money on crap designed to Depreciate will have trouble accumulating wealth. Then we have corporations hiding information and distributing bad information. I watched it at IBM. I tried paying some nieces and nephews to read some books I selected. They refused! The Screwing of the Average Man by David Hapgood .
  22. I knew a White man who drove a Bentley. He parked it in the lot of a shopping mall where he owned a health club. I did work on his wi-fi and network and security cameras. People spend money to play status games with each other. The Laws of Physics do not care. The planet's natural resources are being turned to shit for status games. If money is so important why aren't Black Americans advocating that all Black kids understand accounting?
  23. In what century? I consider the probability of the United States ceasing to exist as a country to by higher than the probability of racism ending. .
  24. It is the kind of effect. What is the relationship between Psychology and Physics? The Laws of Physics are totally incapable of caring about Psychology. But how does cognitive dissonance affect people dealing with the fact of their not understanding Physics. A skyscraper MUST support its own weight throughout its height. So regardless of whether or not a 200 ton airliner could totally destroy a 500,000 ton building in less than 2 hours, what sense does it make for 23 years to go by without "experts" discussing the distributions of steel and concrete down the Twin Towers? Try finding any such data and discussions. I woke up on the morning of 9/12 with one side of my brain going "That's Impossible" and the other side going "What the hell are you talking about". We could see the construction of the Sears Tower from the living room window of the fraternity when I was at the Illinois Institute of Technology. My pledge father was a super senior architect. What I found funny was that all of the architects were more interested in discussing how much money the architectural firm was making than the building. The joke at IIT was "Architects study funny Physics and funny Math". The decisions for the thicknesses of columns and girders would be made by structural engineers not architects. And then the physics of the collapse time would bring in Physicists. But I do not recall any EXPERTS bringing up the Conservation of Momentum in relation to the problem. So the paradigm shift of most people accepting that airliners doing that is flat out impossible would mean what? .
