  1. It's a pro and con. You can check the source or you can see if it sounds plausible. I am not interested in rehashing the debate. Troy read the NASA first them if you want to discuss individual points fine. Don't just skim it read all the footnotes. I have read the entire IPCC report so come prepared.
  2. @Troy Except now it doesn't seem so unlikely. We are at the half way mark.
  3. @Troy What will you say when Trump doesn't make it to the New Year. https://m.huffingtonpost.com.au/entry/donald-trump-investigations_us_5b85861de4b0511db3d229d7 Nixon was only fighting one case. Trump may have 4-6 cases. https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/trump-impeachment-latest-poll-republicans-democrats-midterm-elections-house-senate-a8517961.html
  4. How many times has Pioneer1 insulted me nit nearly as much as Troy.
  5. For people who think for themselves and @Troy https://climatechange.procon.org/#con-01
  6. Gore is not the only environmentalist associated with "An Inconvenient Truth" who has come under fire for personal habits -- producer Laurie David for her use of private Gulfstream jets. BTW the quote isn't 97% of scientist is 97% of climate change scientist. So if you wrote a paper about climate change and yiu said it was a fact that was considered an endorsement. If yiu wrote a paper and said you didn't know that was also considered an endorsement. I read the source material from IOCC.
  7. Facebook and the internet as whole present data. Very few people check the validity of what they repost. News became infotainment in the 80's. You say think for yourself but follow scientist blindly because they are experts. Didn't doctors suggest their patients smoke? Read a boom called Radical Science it gives a insight look on scientist and science. It is also a fascinating read. If you want a window into the close minded of scientist read about hoe Richard Feymann was our in charge of more senior physicist while making the atomic bomb. He initially said no. His supervisor said he chose Feymann because he is he e only scientist that didnt care aviut rank or reputation. If you gitvthe science wrong he is going ti keep yelling. Ybat convinced Feymann. Yes but howdoes tgathave any bearing in the global warming debate. Remember it used ti ne called that butbyhe scientist had to change yhe name because itvwas obvhisky not just getting warmer. Also note that I stated. After havingblooked at temperature production and Co2 leveks from 1700-1980 I believe climate change ti be a fiction. However conservatuin of energy and resources is still a good idea. Interesting Al Gore has the opposite position. He believes in clkmate change but his actuins don't match his idealism. While i rode a bike to work 70% of the time for close to 20 years. We are both hypocrites however i am a better one than Gore. @Troy when i ess single i never git a flu shot. Yet i saw people who did, get sick. I rarely road public transport which are germ incubators. I rode a bike. I didn't have a sedentary life.
  8. Then why do you argue that it is a fact. Is this a new technique. Using examples of positions I disagree with you. I will just postvthe following observations fit people that think. Climate scientist say climate change is an in convertible truth. When have you ever heard scientist make am absolute statement. I have a look at how much a climate change foundation pays its employees as a percentage of funds it spends. This is a general good rule of thumb yo use for all foundations and charities. Trump used hus as a personal checking account. Yhe Clinton used it to pay their own catering company more exorbitant prices. Al Gore made a kot if money from his film. And he has a training course. He flies all over the world selling it. Flying isn't good for the environment. Feel free ti check any of the above statements. The following or news clippings about Gore what an appropriate name. the gas and electric bills for the former vice president's 20-room home and pool house devoured nearly 221,000 kilowatt-hours in 2006, more than 20 times the national average of 10,656 kilowatt-hours. he also has natural gas lanterns in his yard, a heated pool, and an electric gate. While I appreciate that he's switching out some light bulbs, he is not living the lifestyle that he advocates." Also their models aren't very good a prediction. Plus they use temperature changes not tempature from 1980. Check any or all of those for yourself. In our debate I posted a pros and cons. Troy didn't read it. He said its too big for him to understand. An odd comment. When has the impeded an discussion that takes place in this forum? @Troy
  9. They are also unverifiable. Maybe look up the definition of: theory ; theorem ; hypothesis and fact. Although I could be mistaken.
  10. Since 1997 until now 8 only had a TV for three years. And i didn't watch it every day.
  11. Different phone. Chocolate ice cream is better than vanilla. is an example of an opinion. An opinion is synonymous with a view point. A perspective is by definition subjective and hence not a factual statement. I won't argue the point. Cynique its unanimous your intellectual chops are solid.
  12. I haven't watched the news in 12 years. So I couldn't tell you.
  13. @Pioneer1start with the definition before arguing whether it is not so bad.
  14. @Troy are behind Trump about this as well. https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2018-08-30/trump-says-cnn-s-jeff-zucker-and-nbc-s-andy-lack-should-be-fired?cmpid=socialflow-facebook-business&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=socialflow-organic&utm_content=business&utm_source=facebook
  15. No i don't i just want argue from an abstract or conceptual view. I have stated previously an opinion is never wrong. It can be misinformed or have faulty logic though. I have no common ground for discussion. That's not the same as saying i agree with his position. The one that i am starting to agree with is his conspiracy theory about control. Since we live in oligarchy and the system is indeed not for the wage slaves. So in practice his position seems closest to what transpires. He is closer to the ground. And since there are more aggregate people in his world than my own his perspective may be more correct in the aggregate. Even though it doesn't match my views. However i have no way of knowing until some objective event happens. That makes it clear that serfdom has returned and is in full effect. Universal Income and concentration of wealth aren't positive steps.
  16. Like i said as each month rolls on you are less confident. @Troy By November it will be clear wont it. Which leaves a month and a half. However Michael Cohen has yet to testify. He has broken the law but that's not why they kick him out. n
  17. The point isn't about whether he can be removed. What i am unsuccessfully trying to demonstrate is that Trump was immune for a very long time. That confidence in him is being slowly eroded. Tge American public likes tragic heroes. It allows them to feel superior. Wguch explains the popularity of Trump Bush and William Hung the "singer". Either it will become obvious or you will take your cues from Cynique. Recall thatvbegire the election I said he was most likely to win. Bevause peooke want yo be lied to. And now i am saying that he won't finish his term. When ibsaid yhay in March very few people thiught that was possible. Over the intervening month oponions her have shifted. Time will tell.
  18. I have been hurt by women and friends. I haven't met a snob that could lord intelligence over me. So i don't know where you got that idea. My thinking ability is good, my psychic ability also not bad, empathy pretty good, patience not so good compassion could use work. Thusbis an instance if one of the tricks you try tibuse when yiu neeed argument is legless. Its a criticism wrapped in concern. Its an empty Trojan horse.
  19. I'll try this again. I have esteem for different people in the forum. I will also describe my perception of their debste style. Troy is my home boy. I admire your concern for Black America. And your dedication to the sites. I think you can be a bit high handed in how you argue. In argunebts yiu make demands and oyt restrictions on how people can argue a point. This is evident in the exchange you have with Mel in the discussion about Black Men. Cynique is the King. Even when I disagree with her conclusion i can't fault her logic. Sometimes annoyance weariness or her sense of futility makes her a bit cranky. However often this translates into a tasty riposte. Mel is clearly well read abd is well versed in the occult. With Mel she either agrees with you or not. If your argument is not sound. Yiu have an uphill battle convincing her to take you seriously. Pioneer for all his macho statement admitted his lack of advanced or formal education in an intellectual forum. He has acknowledged others college education and stated why he argues from experience. This admission of a deficiency is profoundly striking in both an intellectual basis. I will agree ir disagree with h his statement but i don't argue points. Because i think abstractly and intuitively and he is strictly experiential. I don't just give him a pass. Yiu may have amnesia about our discussion of wheter Black men have ever helped black people. In the end i mentioned two. Mel and Cynique concurred and bith Troy and Pioneer had some disparaging comments about masculinity. I think that should clarify my position and feelings for the active participants.
  20. The tide is turning. https://abcnews.go.com/Politics/trouble-trump-disapproval-high-63-back-mueller-half/story?id=57507081
  21. and the point. That's a polite way of saying your question was answered @Troy
  22. Certain groups news organisations and presidents are prone to fabrication of the facts. Although i did get caught by tbe Beyonce sweat shop. But not her non-existent charity.
  23. Either you or I am confused Troy. I leave that question for the group to answer or decide.
