  1. Tananarive Due has a new short story collection coming out, called The Wishing Pool, in the text prompt section and below in the comments section I will use the graphical results of a computer program to on text input to make a new cover, i offer all of you interested in artistic fun to join me. Details below https://aalbc.com/tc/profile/6477-richardmurray/?status=2213&type=status TEXT PROMPT SECTION The following is the return for the text prompt THE WISHING POOL the images are below, your thoughts , ideas to change any image, which images you want to get rid of ? let's have fun The first looks awful, like a children's book, funny program The second has possibilities. It has a landscape the coloring creates a hazy effect suggesting magic ala wishing, we can work from that the third is a straight pool from a house, I know tananarive wasn't suggesting a nordic european home so that clearly will need work but it is something
  2. @Pioneer1 To your first point, I don't think most black folk in the usa have conflict, most know what they want and stick to it, and I personally can accept it. To your second, I will just say nothing. It is not that I concur but no point in me commenting To your third, you or profd inferred more in my position than I suggested, the point wasn't to suggest a roadmap or blueprint or a strategy for Black folk in particular black militants in the usa to follow. The point was to display that a community can be enslaved or oppressed by another for a long time, longer than blacks have been oppressed in the usa or the european colonies that preceded it, and even though said time will create changes in the enslaved or oppressed community, it will not eradicate many in said community from wanting away from the enslaver or oppressor even if it has been thousands of years. The fact that the irish look like the english simply supports my point. if two people who look alike can have such a feud then clearly two people who don't shouldn't be a surprise. And, the english dominated ireland through various periods, initially england wasn't a global power when they took ireland so... the condition of the oppressor isn't the point. And lastly, in two thousand years the culture of the irish changed a lot, it is not about a culture but the reality of the want of many irish people which survived many cultural changes, financial changes, to still want what they want, which is my point to black militants in the usa. Pioneer you made the point that somehow the black community in the usa lacks smarts or wasn't on the ball but what I am trying to get you to comprehend is that isn't the truth. The question is this, when the usa was being founded do you think the overwhelming majority of free blacks, cause the enslaved blacks couldn't act on their wishes, were wrong for opposing the creation of the usa ?
  3. @ProfD for the record I said the following I never said black militants should do exactly as the irish. I said the irish prove it can work, and i also said nothing is easy. I never said the irish is a blueprint for anyone else. And I never stated I feel Black people in the usa in overwhelming majority want the usa to be changed by force. I quote myself again Did you say the following as a reply to my comment or in general? Cause I didn't say either of those things.
  4. @ProfD we will see @Pioneer1 I think many Black Americansin the usa, maybe most, are doing what you said now. I do concur with your first point That goal is what Frederick Douglass spearheaded alongside Sojourner Truth or Ida B Wells and followed by Web DUbois/Booker T Washington/The Tuskegee arimen/Rosa Parks/Martin/Fannie Lou Hamer/Shirley Chisholm/Fred Hampton/JEsse Jackson/Al Sharpton/Clarence Thomas/ The Obamas/Stacy Abrams and onward. Said people are not clones of each other, but all of them at the core of their purposes is about Black folk thriving or leading as part of the USA. I can even argue that the mythological crispus attics is the true progenitor of that movement that frederick douglass had a huge role in. Where I oppose is your second point The why is key. It is a historical fact that I went in detail in this very community before, the Black community in the USA historically is anti USA + anti White. IT is a simple truth. Over time from the early 1500s to 2023 the Black populace in the USA or the british colonies that preceded it went from a majority fighting to stop the usa from being born to a populace whose members have existed in every position of highest value in the government with billionaires or millionaires forming a one percent. But whether black folk are in support or opposition to the usa, I don't think either choice makes one smart or on the ball. IT is about desire Pioneer. As I said to a black militant once. The modern black community will never join your cause en majority. The black one percent are fiscally wealthy. The black modern immigrants freely came to be part of the USA. and the descended of enslaved who are fiscally wealthy or in the military or work in government or simply are pro usa , simply are. So the anti USA segment of the modern black community is a minority in the black minority. But the IRA prove it can work, nothing is easy but it can work. The IRA was only a few hundred people but their actions got 3/4 of ireland free from the english after two thousand years of all of ireland being dominated by the english. So Black militants, go for it. Most irish didn't plan or had a part in the bombings. But the bombings of the ira which are counted more than the bombings in vietnam, which is amazing, led to the english saying, we will make a deal. And comprehend the modern irish live as two people's. They lived as two peoples during the troubles. Many irish stooged <my term choice> for the english, it is that simple , against the IRA and their cause. What is northern ireland really? by your words Pioneer, the northern irish are the smart on the ball folk who stayed with the remnant of the english empire. But communities are complex. Sometimes you are on the losing side Pioneer. But whether losing or winning if you are true to yourself, you are not dumb. Stick with it, and your time will come and if it doesn't the people who carry on your message, will have a chance, and onward. as long as the community is alive, no matter the quantity or location, the goal isn't dead. That is why when my friends offline who are pro USA talk about various things. I tell them why don't they run for offices. Get in the government apparatus. They love the USA so I support their love, in the same way I support the Black militants who want to burn it down. I don't see either are smart or dumb. Black folk for me are free to have any position to the USA, any position. Our forebears earned us the right to that. TO answer your question Maybe one day their will be. The reason why the usa is in germany is cause germany , unfortunately for germany at some level, was the faultline for usa and russia when commonly called wolrd war two ended. Russia had east of germany, usa had west of germany. they both split germany, sequentially, both countries dropped military bases in germany. Empire's love to make other countries their chess board pieces. Same to Japan. China was communist, and the USA was unable to kill Mao , I know they tried, so the USA military had to stay there. But when Japan's people starting showing socialist leanings, the USA then gave japan money. and while china didn't need russian bases, china became a military partner with russia on simple grounds that the usa was a mlitaristic enemy of both. And the USA went on and add Taiwan, chang kia shek's running hole, and then the two koreas which no korean made. That is why? China and Russia is why. Those two are the only two governments that militaristically are honestly opposed to the usa. Most in the countries in the continent are still being militaristically manipulated by the likes of European countries so the USA has no threat. Ghana is part of the commonwealth of nations. Why have USA troops in ghana when ghana isn't free of an impotent england? Angola has new oil money but Angola like Equatorial Guinea are ruled by the oil families. But the oil families will not get rid of that silly constitution or government system. Angola is a kingdom, that acts like it isn't. Like many oil countries, they hurt themselves accepting the dysfunctional usa or uk elected goverment/parliamentary system. So why have USa troops in Angola when Angola isn't even honest with itself? and same to the others in africa.
  5. @Pioneer1 yes, don't you ever post on your feed in aalbc? This is an aside but it is very interesting how many people never click read more:) I wish I knew a way to scan how many people went to a page and literally didn't click read more @Troy I know no tool exist to scan every connection to the website and see particular actions like that but maybe for status posts you need to allow the whole status to load ? @ProfD I do link all the articles original source in my post, I cite everything. But I focus on my post because sometimes links die. In my experience a number of great articles went away and I wish I would had just posted the whole thing thus, I do that in AALBC. I am not trying to be an archivist but I find the internet audience is lazier than meets the eye and when people refute a point, if you don't have the exact content available then it gets silly. So that is why I focus on my statuses. And I know most of you in the forums know about these issues or already have an opinion so I place the topic as a starter, and you can simply say what you want to say, you don't need to bother coming to my page if you don't want.
  6. @Pioneer1 the person burned themselves alive. He was starving, he was hopeless. The problem is, Tunisia went from european imperial rule to modern kingship twice to elected officials and the common tunisian never changed with any of the governmental changes. The desperation has led some to burn themselves alive. Some people pioneer, they quit when they have had enough. He is trying to take himself out. The series of failed governments has led to a lose in hope.
  7. @Pioneer1 I am glad that you had him in your life, even with the environment's difficulties or your age:) . I am human, I try to be honest or truthful as much as possible, especially when communicating, but I fail alot of times. The USA has a slavemaster culture that wants you to think , live, breath as your told. I have no money or power to make grand changes to any community. The most I can do , for now:), is speak against how the slavemaster wants us slaves to speak. Someone told me offline once, modern immigrant children have parents who work so often they are just not in the house so the t.v/internet/cable .... media raises the kids, and thus their broken or nonexistent or dysfunctional relationship to the country their parents came from. All things will get better @ProfD well done. It's nippy from the block.
  8. @Pioneer1 or @ProfD yes but the us military as all militaries will fail one day. My point isn't that the usa isn't powerful or that other countries do not have its same power, but that the usa military is on an inevitable path of failure and with so many countries relying on the usa military, its failure will lead to massive issues. Its not about doom and gloom. When the roman empire imploded it survived but the damage was extensive to its western section and eventually it went on a path of slow erosion. so I am not suggesting the world will blow up or the usa will not be in existence, but the chaos to most in humanity will occur because the basis of too many governments internally or externally is one thing that isn't guaranteed
  9. @Pioneer1 yes, the usa manages and controls the global financial system , in an even greater way than the british empire that did so beforehand. But what you guys are missing is the globe, the entirety of humanity. The USA is free in its system to cheat, others are not, but all of this is based on an uncertain factor
  10. @Pioneer1 I apologize, I didn't mean to suggest that the post european imperial era meant the death of the white phenotypical race. the white phenotype will not die out as no phenotypical race dies out. And the issue isn't the death of philosophies white people have created or support in majority, the key is for non whites or specifically, non white europeans, to maintain their own philosophies or create their own philosophies. I am fortunate to know indians who live in india, and indians who live in the usa. Many do want to be white european, that is true, but you may be surprised how many like themselves, and are looking for more self love. And, I have been fortunate enough to know mestizoes or mulattoes of latin america who embrace the women who started their lineage more than the men. Yes, your right, many if not most want to be white european in latin america but it isn't as large as media suggest. To be blunt, white owned media makes every black person whose forebears were enslaved in the usa an allegiant to the USA but that is not true.
  11. @ProfD A government doesn't have to be either a whore or pimp. The question profd is what do you do when you or your community is abused under a government? Many people in modern humanity seem to think the answer isn't what it was in most human history, and said answer is form a government for your abused people. Sometimes you may fail like the confederacy in the USA, sometimes you may succeed like the irish in the british empire. But whether succeed or fail , it is the only way any oppressed people have ever not been oppressed by their oppresor. A fat whore:) good one
  12. @ProfDI will add something I didn't say in my thoughts in the original post. ... The USA isn't the first government to kick problems, deep problems, down the road. To be blunt, the USA has a heritage of kicking financial problems down the road to the detriment of the folk down that road, ala the war between the states which began when the usa was founded. Today the global system the usa has constructed is safe but I can see the inevitable problem that will generate a calamity down the road.

  16. @Rodney campbell said the following at the following post https://aalbc.com/tc/profile/6477-richardmurray/?status=1671&type=status What say you? I will refrain till more reply.
  17. I answer your two questions below First Gaming videos post in the bge journal, linked below Second question I prefer it. But, the video gaming videos I have shared in the BGE journal haven't been for black designed games but white ones. So... if you find a black produced game or a black gamer then please, cause there are rarer. But, I comprehend this is a small group. If the game play is interesting from a white gamer, even if the game isn't black produced or the character being shown isn't black, then have at it. One important thing, If you have twenty gaming videos in one day you want to share, then put them in one post. Try not to make multiple styled posts in one day. I hope I help
  18. @ProfD haha and add lies and add the lack of a financial cheat. Greed or Corruption are negatives. but lies make them worse, and the lacking of a truly advantageous financial cheat is potent. Yeah, commonly called nepotism is bad for everyone else, not in the clan right? but, why are so many governments structured the way they are? It isn't because the peoples in such government decided, it was made by outsiders. And the caribbean or Africa are full of these countries. Nigerians didn't exist, The british empire made Nigeria and then told the black people in it to be Nigerian with a parliamentary government as if the people in nigeria decided that. No korean was in the room when the two koreas was made. Right now Taiwan acts like they are separate from china as if taiwan wasn't made because china had an internal war and the losing side fled to that island. The lies of being independent will probably lead to war one day. The irony is the usa talks about taiwanese independence but scoffs at the confederacy, which was doing the same thing taiwan was and is. Lies don't make it better. Your right ProfD, greed/corruption can be extreme negatives, not to be underrated. But, I think too many miss the role of a cheating profitable financial aspect. The roman empire which western europe, that includes the usa, culturally mirror was like western europe or the usa. A haven for what you call call greed or corruption or commonly called nepotism. but, they were also very successful in financial abuses, slavery being a key one and genocide second. Whites in the usa wanted to keep all wealth white, a larger form of nepotism. the government officials cheated or was corrupt all the time, look at white officials to the white towns in appalachia. But, the usa was making money. So....money making allowed for I really feel the problem today is countries , non white ones, are being challenged to succeed financially absent a cheat and that isn't easy historically. The USA didn't work hard, it stole land from sea to shining sea, never paid the labor on all that land. IF only every country had an enslaved populace they will find more peace while still maintaining a lot of corruption or greed
  19. @ProfD I oppose your position. I don't see any evidence that any religion, a spirituality on top of literature, or a spirituality are diametrically opposed to the rule of any people. First, historically, the longest operating governments in human history all had an attached religion to said government. Kemet/Chin/Roman Empire. All of them lasted thousands of years. The USA government is less than 500 years old, and post the second phase of what I call the world war. Most governments in humanity are less than a hundred years old or were started absent the will of their people. Second, in modernity, the financial factors in countries is the true genesis of their conflicts or confusions. For example to the article, Tunisia is poor. The reason why the usa had and has success has nothing to do with the government form. I will argue, that the government form of the USA is actually dysfunctional but the financial potency of genocide plus slavery created two huge financial winds that allowed a rickety boat to fly. The problem, tunisia don't have such winds. Tunisia has no native americans to slaughter for resources, tunisia has no continental trafficking of enslaved human beings for labor. Sequentially, the form of government or democracy Tunisia utilized to mirror the usa or great britain was absent either of those countries true source of maintenance, which was the ability to get away with murders or enslavements to other human beings.
