  1. THE ARCHEOLOGY OF NOAH: The Chinese NAMI Team Part one It was only a few years ago that the movie theaters featured another film about Noah, the ark and the Great World Flood to draw in the big bucks and for other profitable reasons. Not only that but in Kentucky, a major theme park has just opened recently on July 7, 2016 called Ark Encounter, a massive financial project whereby, a giant vessel was constructed on the same scale detailed in the Holy Bible and, it has become a major tourist attraction. What better way to cover up the truth and to continue to draw the attention away from the real historical facts that surrounds the Biblical account in respects to the country we know today as Turkey [ie. Asia Minor, or Anatolia], the ancient governments and civilizations in and around that land, and the kinds of events that did happened in the earth that surrounds the dates and times this event was written to have occurred. However, along with these modern storytelling embellishments of the ark to continue to tell the history from a specific modern western point-of-view, it may also be good to be reminded of other important kinds events that have also been written about during these same timespans. Because of how our educational system has progressed since the formation of this American government, and because of the Separation of Church and State in July 4, 1776, there are other descriptive events and names omitted in our educational systems, major historical events that are aligned around the same time span this ark story was set to have occurred, and this kind of information may help to get a better view of those ancient times. Even more so intriguing would be that it was only eight (8) years prior to the opening of this theme park in Kentucky and at a time when many Americans were lined up at the polls to vote former president Barack Obama into the oval office, in October of 2008, that an expedition team from China known under the name, the NAMI PROJECT [Noah’s Ark Ministries International], that made a secretive ‘breaking world news event’ when they trekked up into the snowcapped mountains of Turkey (Anatolia) and reported that they had found the real wooden vessel and took their videos and cameras down into parts of the vessel to show the world. Oh but, Hey!—for those of us poor folk over here in America who may believe in the Bible who would never have the chance to see and prove this sight with our own eyes, a trip to Kentucky will probably be as close as will ever get under the circumstances of the times to view Noah’s ark! And too, for some African American descendants of slaves, a trip to visit a museum constructed of a multi-level giant wooden ship, lined with cages to trap animals for a year(!), might not be the kind of vacation experience desired at all, but rather, an uncanny harrowing reminder of the Transatlantic Slave Ship Era that our ancestors were forced to endure for about a years’ journey, being though, tightly packed, and a governmental excursion that occurred for over two hundred years. So even though a financial report has been stated in a recent film documentary that out of all the many tourist across the world that have made this mecca to Turkey Anatolia to see the museum and accounts of this ancient vessel, and even though it would be the Americans that has spent the most money in this endeavor, traveling across the world to this destination in Turkey to see the remnants of this great mysterious wonder, maybe now though, they can save their money and just go to Kentucky. This reconstructed tourist attraction of a massive wooden ship in Kentucky has been equipped with all of the technology of today with its’ surveillance cameras, excellent lighting, air conditioning, harmless sound effects of wild animal sounds and torrential storm wind affects, recreated models of many kinds of animals, and more, therefore, it seems to make for a much better experience than what the eight people written about on this quest could ever have dreamed to experienced. Heck, they even have remodeled forms of small dinosaurs to be a part of this expedition! And, due to the advance technology of today, better technology than even Noah could have mastered in his lifetime, this Ark Encounter comes equipped with best construction of ‘cesspools’ or, restrooms located in many areas in this museum, Oh!—I meant to say, in this vessel! A group of Chinese and Turkish evangelical explorers say wooden remains they have iscovered on Mount Ararat in eastern Turkey are the remains of Noah's Ark. Yeung Wing-cheung, a member of the 15-strong team from Noah's Ark Ministries International, says the structure has several compartments, some with wooden beams, which were believed to house animals. "It's not 100 per cent that it is Noah's Ark but we think it is 99.9 per cent that this is it," he told AFP. http://www.abc.net.au/news/2010-04-28/noahs-ark-discovered-on-turkish-mountain/413428 But this NAMI team was by far not the only account reported to have found this ark but this information too, has been hidden. At any rate, it would be impossible to capture the whole story of those ancient times in this short essay and to list all of the ancient historical events that occurred during the timespans that led up to the story of the Great World Flood and to highlight all of the important happenings in the ancient civilizations of those times to give credibility to the history of Turkey Anatolia at the time this Biblical account was recorded to have happened, but based on my more than twenty (20) years of research, I would like to just open the door to perhaps, looking at the past from a scientific perspective to history and the Bible too. My timeline that I have constructed would also be based upon deep research and that revolves around the events that occurred during the time of the Roman Empire. In the past, I began the count and measure of time based on Adam’s Creation and I counted forward, but I was unable to make confirmations. But then, I counted backwards from the time of the Roman Empire, compared and contrasted secular scholarly historical events to the Biblical accounts and so now, my timelines are exact. I can understand the conflict of ‘the different Creation Theories’ due to this process of the measurement of time. However, there would be much more to add to this issue of how time has been measured with regards to other substantial ‘fixed points’ in the celestial realm. So then, for now, I think it would be interesting to regard the ancient civilizations and certain kinds of archeology and terminology to open the mind to perhaps another avenue of history. Furthermore, while the account of Noah will be presented, it would be pretty advantageous to also pay close attention to another very famous ancient man, a very famous Black skinned man of Africa [KEMET] who history dates to have lived at the very same time that the Bible has scripted that the very High Priest of the living God to have lived; and his name was IMHOTEP. This then would be my conclusions of my findings in that they are both one and the same man. So no, Noah would not have looked like the image made today of the heavily bearded Classical Greek image of Zeus and Asclepius that the western civilizations had depicted for Noah to have appeared. And in respect to the true history of that time period, the question posed should be this; IF NOAH WAS TOLD TO CONSTRUCT A GIANT SHIP WHEN HE WAS 500 YEARS OLD, WHERE IN THE WORLD WOULD HE HAVE LIVED TO OBTAIN THAT KIND OF SKILL BUT AFRICA; EGYPT, IN THE VERY AREA WHERE IMHOTEP DID LIVE AND BECOME RENOWN FOR BEING A MASTER ARCHITECT, MASTER CARVER, MASTER SCUPTOR AND ETC.!? The Great Steppe Pyramid was said to be completed in 2667 BC during the Third Dynasty by the High Priest of Djoser, named IMHOTEP, of which, based on my research would be the one and the same NOAH. At this time, the Bible timelines show that Noah would have been around 300 years old. A Statue of IMHOTEP Imhotep carving Old Imhotep This would be the reason why, even though Imhotep constructed the tomb for Djoser, his tomb has never been found! Imhotep did not die at that time but he lived on to construct the great ark and he lived on for hundreds of years more before he died. And so, the construction of the Great Steppe Pyramid and many other skills Noah would have acquired therefore, he would have learned in ancient Egypt and this then, would have been his training ground long before he ended up in Turkey Anatolia surrounded by woods and trees. Noah would have learned how to work with wood in Egypt too, but the Egyptians acquired their logs from the Levant and the wood was traded and put on barges and floated down the river. And even though today, this information has been deliberately kept hidden, many Black African people still today use the salutation ‘HOTEP’ meaning I would suppose, ‘PEACE’, or ‘MAY YOU HAVE COMFORT’. Additionally, even though Imhotep has been defined as being ‘a commoner’ elevated under Djoser, however, it would be a newfound truth from a Biblical perspective that well, it would be the very Imhotep that this entire universe came from as a result of the Great World Flood! So he would, in essence, be much more important than Djoser of whom he had lived under and served for many years. Imhotep was A THEBAN PRIEST and he would have been born in and around Memphis in captivity. He was born during a time when mound building just began around the millennium. Although secular accounts of the birthdate of Imhotep greatly varies, however, the Bible timelines date his birth to be during the 2900s BC. However, due to the strange new phenomena that began to become more and more common, that is the phenomenon of DEATH, due to AGING, around the millennium, many great and renown men and women began to die off of whom had been born around the early times of the 4000s BC and obviously due to the belief of ‘life after death themes’ that began, therefore, people were having a hard time dealing with this strange phenomenon of death on a wide scale. So this DEATH THEME therefore, marks a new movement of mound building, tomb building and massive graves during the Pre-dynastic times where servants were killed and entombed along with the masters that they were made to serve. This horror of mass tomb constructions and mound building too, led to the South world, the Seth world, to become extremely oppressed and so soon after, during this THINITE PERIOD, a great new leader rose up from the south in Egypt named Narmer. Noah would not have known Adam, for he was dead more than a hundred years before this time period of the great oppression of the Seth world, the Thebans. And Noah would not have known the black skinned Cainite man, Narmer-the-Unifier, the eastern man, who fought against the Asiatics in North Egypt and caused the Thebans to gain freedom for a brief time period. Neither would Imhotep be dated to have known Narmer. But Noah’s father Lamech definitely knew Narmer based on the timelines, and would have likely participated in the war against the Asiatics. However, after the death of Narmer, secular history places the Thebans back under suppression again, and this would be the time that Noah would have been born. And the prophecy of Lamech hints at this time of captivity of the Seth world being bound to be ‘earth workers’ or mound builders to the point that some of them became well known for their skills. Lamech prophesized that his son Noah, would be a deliverer, and bring the Thebans peace: And Lamech lived an hundred eighty and two years, and begat a son: And he called his name Noah, saying, This same shall comfort us concerning our work and toil of our hands, because of the ground which the LORD hath cursed. GENESIS 5:28-9. According to the Bible, Lamech and his father, Methuselah, went on to live for hundreds of years. According to the Bible timeline, Lamech would have died just four (4) years before the world flood and Methuselah would have technically, died one year before the flood. Back in those times, the New Year was during the springtime so Methuselah would have died before March or the Leap Month of April of that next year. The flood was dated to have occurred during the 2300s BC, on April 17, and strangely so, this date, April 17, came to mark another phenomenon to occur thousands of years later. It marked the advent of the Star of Bethlehem and the birth of Jesus. Although I have not stressed other detail dates surrounding these events, though, my timelines are exact in respect to several events written about in ancient times. Following will be a very brief and general overview of my research about a certain aspect of the timelines that focuses around Biblical accounts as they relate to the account of Noah and the secular publications about ancient civilizations and archeological events and a concentration on ancient KEMET, Egypt and the civilizations around Turkey and Greater Babylon during these times. Cont. 4000s BC----------3000s BC-----2500s BC-----2000s BC----------1900s BC ---------- 1800s BC--- Adam------------- Narmer ---- Djoser -------flood ---------- Middle Bronze Age------- Labyrinth
  2. THE ARCHEOLOGY OF NOAH Introduction I am getting ready to share some more of my research, and so I want to say this ahead of time that some of you who decide to read further may think that I have lost my mind. I am getting ready to flip the script and present a strange perspective on this ancient story that has brought in a lot of revenue in the entertainment world in their many movie productions. So I just want to prepare you too ahead of time. There is a lot of information though, that I have but for now, I will attempt to just make introductions to a renewed look at the past with respect to the secular scholarly script though about the same time period that this Biblical account was said to have occurred. Also too, I want to say that I grew up in the 1960s and the 70s and I came after the Civil Rights Movement and so, some of the terms that the Baby Boomers use to coin ancient times, was done away with by the time I became school age. So, when I share my take on some terms used today from that ‘Black Power’ days, some of you might not agree, and I am prepared for this too. For example, I have already seen these two terms used in this community, ‘HOTEP’ and ‘CAUCASIAN’ and well, I’m not sure of their complete meaning, but these terms were not common in my earlier surroundings. However, I think these terms are very important to understand though and plan to share my understandings, indeed within the context of this very research on The Archeology of Noah. I hope that I can shed some new light on this event.
  3. yes, I do believe this too, about deductive reasoning, sifting through lies to try and get at the real truth. And yes, I believe that about cannibalism too. That sounds so fascinating. yes, that is true. This planet is old and who knows what is up ahead for mankind for sure. Nevertheless, I am not the kind of person to just let this system continue to feed me lies and then want me to accept it as truth! There is a strange spirit in this world today that somehow sees a benefit in oppressing people for self gain. Why can't we seek a better quality of life without feeling the desire to crush other people and to deliberately support a system of lies? This is so crazy. Thank you.
  4. LOL! yes, that is a confusion. They keep redrawing the maps even when it concerns early history. I think the term WEST ASIA meant one thing and included Iran, then the term NEAR EAST was used to include MESOPOTAMIA and maybe Turkey, and now the term is THE MIDDLE EAST to include Mesopotamia and etc. And then way back whenever, the term West Asia was Iran and I suppose Central Asia was around the Aral Sea. Clearly, these terms reveal the presence and domination of Asiatics in 'the Middle East' LOL! The East, Asia, Asiatics, the FAR EAST, the NEAR EAST, the ORIENT ... this whole world seems to be dominated by THE EAST. smh. @TroyUh oh! LOL! Can I get in on this conversation? Actually, uhm, I absolutely remember reading somewhere that the international leagues in the Western nations did change the maps around some point in 1947 when they recarved the maps for the Jews in Europe to go back to 'the Middle East' and, I vaguely do remember that, believe it or not, yes, MOROCCO was included in on their geographical definition of 'THE MIDDLE EAST'. I think it does have something to do with the Arabs, Islam, and the muslims. yes, I think @Pioneer1 maybe right here. I just remember when I read something along those lines, I was amazed that they were defining parts of North Africa, all the way west as 'the Middle East'.
  5. @Kalexander2 Thank you! I am so amazed as your strength, you inner being.
  6. I love it! This so wonderfully stated. However, with respect to the 'giants' I don't believe that they were all 'this' or all 'that', or all negative or all positive. That is the issue here, some statements are 'myth' and I believe that over the years, the sound proof to confirm history is a tool(s) that we can not use or do not possess to verify history as being totally true or not.
  7. @Troy I initially find it hard to believe that @Pioneer1 took it personal, but after a while of seeing other post, I do believe he did take it as a personal insult. So I understand. My attempt to 'step in cautiously' to be the 'peace makerr', helps sometimes to make things better for others... But since I did make statements, I will also say this; I felt that for the purpose of the forum, and because it seemed to be ongoing, and going and going, it was a good idea for someone to help the two posters maybe have a truce and to maybe come up with a better approach to converse on topics without attacking each other. I have no idea why they have done this back and forth, and I just read I think, that Kalexander2 did say he may not really care for Pioneer1's input. IMO, that's okay, but for them both to attack each is also not good if they don't stop, LOL. I've been there, done that too. I can get caught up into a conversation, however, deep inside, I know I should stop, leave off, but sometimes find myself in a rat race... I try to defend myself from what I perceive, as an passive aggressive attack against my person and NOT what I say or believe, but me. And, I have a trigger and sometimes in conversation, with certain relatives like my older sister , I find myself all worked up in a defensive mode and can't figure out how I continue to get to that point, only that I keep going into the conversation and get no satisfaction all the while. I still find it hard to believe that someone today, would take 'YO MAMA' jokes personally, but historically, this kind of conversation did tear down Black people and it is a great method to cause dissention. But, I didn't get that it was a personal insult coming from @Kalexander2 either. No, I don't weigh in on either of the two posters, in my opinion. I think the insults were pretty even between the both of them. I kind of felt like it was just that perhaps, some kind of dissention started back at some point and they may have needed a little nudge to bring the purpose of this forum back into thier focus. @Delano Ahhh! This is exactly my feelings, just couldn't word so well! Thank you!
  8. @Pioneer1OH GOSH! You may have no idea how important your response is to me! You wrote 'in volumes'. You must have published because I would have never imagined such a response could be so approprately conclusive and captivating regarding this issue. GEEZ! You're right! The right approach! You're right again. I cannot begin to tell you, in a discreet manner, the kind of conflicts that has unexpectedly come to my mind, based on your response, due to the twist and turns of dealing with issues on this wise as a whole. Again, you've written a little, but it's volumes! Thank you so much for taking the time to write this! I plan to share this with my husband. I curious to hear his response. I suspect he is going to be very vocal!
  9. Really? Well, I look forward to reading about more of your findings! You've just refreshed my memory on the terms; Talmud, Torah, Tanakh...
  10. Yes, this is the real point here, even if the posters are not aiming to create havok, after awhile, I feel that it will undercut the wider purpose of a discussion board designed to uplift 'the Black Voice', and a positive outcome for Black people in general. And also, after awhile too, it may become obvious that some one may feel personally attacked, and when this seems to be the issue, I think a moderator, a peacemaker, may help bring the discussion back into focus. Unfortunately, we as human do show this 'going off the rail' behavior, and find it difficult to find a common ground. Sometimes, It's not easy to agree to disagree without personally attacking someone. But if someone is constantly undermining Black people of African descent, and there is a pattern, well, that is wrong.
  11. @Pioneer1 But here is the issue that I see though; The Western Civilization and I suppose other nations too, keep changing the names and the maps with regards to the origins of certain people in ancient times. Iraq, Syria, Saudi, had people living in these areas that had other descriptive names that place them with 'other origins' that places them in Africa too, before they migrated east. For example, in the land of ancient Iran, Persia, lived the people of AI; and from my research, this name connects to a very early people during the Copper Age, that dominated 'the MIddle East' [ie. Jerusalem] and that came from MADAI-JAPHETH. From this civilization came people and civilization like; THE MENES, the ARMENIANS, the MEDES, MEDO-PERSIA, the ACHAEMENIDS, ... and some of these people were concentrated in THE WEST initially. Nevertheless, they are still defined as ORIENTAL, but not necessarily ASIAN. Some the early people, from my research shows that they were, as you said, BLACK. They interacted with the ancestors of the Khurds and Greater Babylon and etc. @Cynique Thank you!!!\
  12. I did hear about that! I also read over some of the following quotes here in this thread too. It's been awhile, years, since I read his book, and his other books as well. I did do some research on how his book Roots, came together, his being in the Coast Guard and using this as an opportunity, his travels to Africa... I thought that was for real. You mean to tell me, he didn't go to Africa!? My conclusion after I researched the making of his book was that I was still in great admiration for his work. I actually did separate research in libraries on the facts about Kunta Kinte and some of the other people that surround the real facts. AGain, I can't remember all the details, but, I believe that ALex Haley did write a lot of facts into his book. I kind of remember that Kunta Kinte's daughter, Kizzie's mother, BELLE, was in reality somewhat different that the actress that portrayed her in film. The real true Belle, was sold off from the slave plantation after Kizzie was sold. That hurts me so deeply. And, Chicken George met a terrible death, he fell over in the fireplace and was burned to death.... At this point, I don't believe tht the supossedly, 'Creative liscense' that he was said to use was that detrimental against the bigger issue. @Troy Yes, thank you, I will!
  13. @Mel Hopkins This is very interesting research. I have not heard of The African warrior Queen Nyabinghi. I too, have done research on the wife of Noah, and the wives of the patriarchs as well, and the name of Judith, and the idol Sekhmet, the lioness idol. But my findings doesn't view them in the positive though. However, you research about the positive aspect, it is refreshing! The information about the conflict in Uganda and the Germans is amazing.
  14. HAPPY...Conjuring up African Good Vibes... ...Maybe... or Spirits Unknown... @Mel Hopkins WHEW! Mel Hopkins, I just googled and checked out your book! Yites! Scary! I'm a PG kind of movie goer, but then, I love those kinds of stories! Gracious PEace!. You've probably heard this youtube, I'm always late on things, but this is one of my all time favorite renditions of Pharrell Williams HAPPY PROJECT: THE DANCE GROUP from Africa, Cote D'Ivoire. Man! They made me feel like they conjured up spirits!!! It's hypnotic! Your book seems like the Agatha Christie kind of mystery but African style. I love Angela Lansbury shows. lol. especially the ones that she did on THE BIG EASY and the VOODOO mystery. My relatives are from that kind of stuff! LOL! This reminds me of a time my cousins put a voodoo doll in my Aunt's mailbox, ... she had a fit... they got a whoopin tht day because in South carolina, that stuff is for real! Chicken feet in a pot and all... HAPPY by Pharrell Williams Cote D'voire Dance Troop https://youtu.be/9jzDVaQFLxs
  15. Oh no! I don't! LOL. I am shooting in the dark! LOL. I grew up in the Black Church, and I am very frustrated with the omission of a lot of information. How can you believe in something, based on a book, but you only read a part of the book!? Anyway, your icon is gorgeous and you look like a news reporter! Awesome!!! LOL yes, I read about the the Loving story and my rebuke is not on that level because my husband is Black. But it is rough though. This world is filled with 'isms' ... when it comes to a Black woman choosing to be in a relationship.
  16. @Mel Hopkins Okay so here we go! You know I fell pretty dumb, not to know this about the mitochondria in regards to it being classified as 'a chromosome' so help me out here! This is a brief web search on it: Mitochondrial DNA is the small circular chromosome found inside mitochondria. These organelles found in cells have often been called the powerhouse of the cell. [1] The mitochondria, and thus mitochondrial DNA, are passed only from mother to offspring through the egg cell. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mitochondrial_DNA So now, I'm thinking, ... What was I thinking!? I have to refresh myself, because my thesis is based on a good comparison and contrast between the mtDNA and the Y-DNA HAPLOGROUP that has been published today. YOu see, I have a big problem with what I have been reading. I believe that, in the Science Scholarly community, there is a big concerted effort to conceal some of their findings and as a result, some of what they report is misleading to say the least, but I'm still researching and have not made a conclusion on this thought for sure. To take my opinions further, So at this stage, I am gathering info, and forming some questions about their reports. Ultimately and based on what I see so far, I believe that this big government is hiding information based on a racial reasoning. That is what I believe. So let me post some of their statements, a little, for now and pose some questions I have about this research: In general, traits that exist on the Y chromosome are Y-linked because they only occur on that chromosome and do not change in recombination. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chromosome GENETIC RECOMBINATION Genetic recombination is the production of offspring with combinations of traits that differ from those found in either parent. The shuffling of genes brought about by genetic recombination produces increased genetic variation. … In mammals, females most often have higher rates of recombination https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Genetic_recombination [1] So, this was what i vaguely remembered in my notes, but I was not sure how to phrase it. The mtDNA is very stable, so stable that it does not RECOMBINE in the process of reproduction for a very, very long time. And the same for the Y-DNA, but I feel that the scholars don't make it clear the other aspect in the term they use; RECOMBINATION. When it comes to RECOMBINING with the pairing and the Y-DNA chromosome strand during reproduction, the X-chromosome offers a lot of variation as opposed to the Y-DNA. The Y-DNA only offers a small portion on the tip of the Y-chromosome sex gene, in the psuedo[?] region. For this reason, the human race is so varied. Then there is the inheritance that comes from the AUTOSOMAL CHROMOSOMES too. But, in my observation, the scientific community is very vague about the Y-DNA Sex chromosome because they don't want to shed light on the African male origin of all mankind living today. I have found that the Haplogroups that they list today, is very, very vague. And they change groups, and sub-clades, to a point, where am questioning as to why? The Y-DNA is very stable. And the process that determins the BASAL aspect is stable, so why do they not make this clear? [2] [a] At one point they say, the basal portion was listed by a certain description [can't remember off hand]; then they assigned it to be BASAL A and said it was a great portion of African men [c] then they assigned the E1b groups to much of African men [c] then they assiged the BT group and changed their story about that [d] now they say they have found a new group A00 in a man in america named Albert and sometimes they say that he was a slave... And the process in determining the mutation MARKS for these grups leads to subclades and such, but I have found one of many vague points, they have left out as well as the contradictions about the basal A, and E1b groups; they don't usually clarify that the HAPLOGROUP F is the beginning BRANCH for all of the reast of the HAPLOGROUPS!!! -- G,H,I,J,K,L,... and then the other branches off of thse groups. They don't share this much. And, this is some of the reason why I believe they are not publishing the whole truth about the Y-DNA. Ultimately, I believe this is because they in no way want to make any correlation to the BIBLICAL ADAM and THE GREAT WORLD FLOOD which would be A BOTTLENECK affect. [3] and then there is another major issue that also comes into play in these findings... THE NEANDERTHAL Y-DNA of which to date, scientist don't really shout it out, but no y-dna has been found yet. Their methods of determining the HAPLOGROUPS for the earlier hominids is based on comparison and contrast using the PRIMATES such as the Gorilla and chimpanzee. And they use the mtDNA as well to determinen gene patterns to reports their findings on the male presence of the NEANDERTHALS. They know they were here and that they were males, in part!--because of reproduction and other proof. anyway, I have more questions to pose, later.
  17. WOW now that is amazing! I am so far from where you are in life! You have no idea! Your daughter is absolutely incredibly beautiful. So I assume you have the twins and an older daughter; that's amazing. I don't know how you did it. I'm still on a long, long road stretched out ahead of me! My sons are older, yes, but it is crazy difficult... I don't know why!? They are frustrated sometimes... they complain sometimes and say, "Mom, I'm the ONY ONE, THE ONLY BLACK MALE..." I don't know what to say, how to help them. YOu say, your daughters are presently single, are you single now? IF so, do you think they shy away from heterosexual relationships because of how they view your relationships? For me, I've been married for years and it's been a saga, not becsuse of my relationship to husband, but because it seems most people are in a rage over the reality of us being married. We are loathed, but not by my father's people. We get wonderful support from them but they are far away. My father-in-law adored us, And, I guarantee you that you probably know more than me about mtDNA!--LOL even though it was a big chunk of my major. However, my approach on this subject is based on another angle than your book. However, I welcome your criticism and help for what I would like to share!--since you've already written your book. How exciting! Believe it or not, I am researching with hopes of publish a book one day too, but I'm no where close to that point! I would love to get your book!
  18. Thank you very much! My advantage, I have come to realize is that my ancestor, she came very late towards the abolishment of the actual law. I still can't believe myself though, that my aunt who knew is still very alive today! And she is still of her full mind and a young girl and knew the slave girl, her own grandmother, for a few years before she died. You know, I read Roots, by Alex Haley four times!-- And it still grips me when he wrote his account of the Griot that gave the oral story of his ancestor. I met ALex Haley and he signed my program.
  19. That is hard. May I ask how old were you when this happened? You are right though, I agree. At some point, there needs to be some kind of accountabilty, that was your father. No wonder many Black women don't know how to feel...about our fathers, Black men. Sometimes, adult mothers are so caught into the hardship they deal with, they lose sight of their role, still, as nurturers and they keep the cycle going. For you, you had daughters, so you were put right back in under the role. But for me, I did not have daughters, but, I always think about how to react to young girls especially the ones that my sons interact with. It scares me to think that I would be as cold to younger Black women or girls in general, in the way I felt my mother treated me. @Pioneer1 @Kalexander2 Okay . LOL! Can I ask for a Time out here!!! I just want to make a comment to men, and since you both are commenting in this thread, it seems good to direct it to you both: I feel that as @Mel Hopkins stated, that black mothers should take the blame for bad behavior. And, if Black men care so much about the Black woman being victimized, what about the victims striking at children--the victims? What role should Black men take in this REALITY? Shouls you just stand by and say nothing, do nothing, just feel sorry for the whole group without making any intervention? I feel strongly about this issue here. Shouldn't Black men, fathers do something in this situation? Don't you realize that some Black women are dangerously abusive to the Black child? They strike at the child, and take out their being victimize on the Black child? I feel that Black men should do something too, help out the Black children too, when this kind of abuse is going on. This kind of abuse is incredibly prevalent, I feel, in the Black culture.
  20. @Mel Hopkins Yes, I read about the American Slave Albert Perry and the new information on the AO HAPLOGROUP, Y-DNA. I have to tell you though, for the past year, I have went over the Y-DNA HAPLOGROUPS and I can see the manipulation here in regards to the science community, and I will explain in a little while. I have not been able to make a conclusion though, I just see some contradictions in what has been reported about the Y-DNA. I will get some quotes though. really. Tlhat's new for me. I would love for you to shed some more information on this!
  21. Yes, I absolutely agree with what you have said. I say, pray without works are dead, dead, dead. And as far as 'end times' I have gotten out of my past mentality and the understanding and conditioning of what I once believed about it anyway. I do hope though, while I work for a better existence from the issues going on today in this world when it comes to racism. @Mel Hopkins I really need that hug! Thank you. You know I still sometimes that I never left that conflict. And you said a lot when you speak about broken parents raising children. That is what brings me so much inner turmoil. I think about the Black women of these past generations, and I am so glad that I was not in their shoes!--But at the same time, what kind of escape do children have when they are in a situation, an environment like that? I find it fascinating though, that you had twins and furious at the conflict you faced...cause I know how that feels when a female, doctor[!] reacts negative ... to a Black mother-to-be! Thank you and I hope we collectively find our voice... because I don't believe this system will improve if we, as Black women don't have the proper voice.
  22. @Mel Hopkins I forgot to address you question about career. I did not go after my career with the mindset that I would be a homemaker and that is the most shocking part of it all! I never even considered that would even be an issue until I was faced with the issue of trying to find a good babysitter. I didn't want my kids to suffer like some of the stories I have heard and what I went through. Both of my sisters were sexually abused and I've heard so many terrible stories like this, and I suffered as 'a latch key kid'. I never saw my mother as she was a career woman and yes, the women in my family demanded that I do the same. But I came to a point where I refused. But when it comes to BLACK WOMEN, I believe it is a terrible saga due to societal persecution. We are damned if we leave are kids and work and then, we are damned if we don't. We are viewed as selfish if we seek a career and then we are framed as lazy soap opera watching stay at home Moms if we don't, but other women don't get this treatment, in my opinion.
  23. @Mel Hopkins Wow! this thread is interesting. The photos you posted are very interesting. You know, I have worked in a genetics lab and my major is in Biology with emphasis in Secondary education. And after I've studed about the mtDNA and the Y Haplo group, it seems to me the scientist are not revealing everything. Actually, I think it is the other way around, but I need to look at my notes regarding the mtDNA. That is the one that does 'mutate'. But the term for the Y-Dna haplogroup is that it is more stable and it does not RECOMBINE like the mtDNA and this is why scientiest know the origins of mankind, which they say is much more recent than the Mitochondrial Eve. Alll Y-DNA has a basal MARK that shows their origin is in Africa and it is called 'basal a'. All males have this 'basal a' mark and it does not recombine.
