OMG! Guess what showed up on my feed yesterday!? I feel that this issue too, might be connected to what the government is doing, you know with ordering immigrants out of America. A lot of people have been evicted from their Section 8 homes! Also, the law has changed and now, Vouchers for Housing are only allowed to be given for only two (2) years!!! After 2 years, if people don't get jobs or something, they will have to pay full rent without any help from Housing Authority. Maybe if you are disabled or older than 62, you might not be completely put out, but times don't seem safe for anyone nowadays! Also, I heard that some landlords are putting cameras inside people's apartment and if they don't like it, then they are going to be told that they can move out. It seems to me that America is going after the poor population and a lot of single Black mothers are going to be devastated. Oaky, well, I did not know that was the hype. The Horn of Africa VS South African Refugees Well, until recently I had no idea that there were any significant presence of refugees from Ethiopia or Somalia. Ever since the past presidency of Obama, I know that the propaganda for America was that it was a country of immigrants. But from my perspective, as an African American DOS, this ideology seems completely absurd considering how this system formed 400 years ago. Nevertheless, now it seems like, all of a sudden, the news reports are about the deportation of Africans and other immigrants and at the same time, we also hear about what some say would be a bias when it comes to the recent refugees from South Africa. More importantly though, it is NOT my ancestry as 'an African American DOS' only that causes me to be shocked due to these recent movements on immigration, however, it would be my 'other' ancestry that leaves me more in shock. And I am also stunned at the ancestry of my husband's people as well. In the recent past, I have shared some stories about some immigrants from the Middle East and how I remembered what they have shared about my family. I find myself thinking about our family reunions over the years and how every year I hear the story of my ancestor being stolen from East Africa when she was only a child. I obtained documents too that have supported these stories and I have obtained documents of my ancestor from India as well. I recall thirty years ago, how a Palestinian man and woman stared at my husband as if they were in shock. I shared with them that he is of an American Indian [i.e. Black Indian] origin. I shared with them that he has a unique blood type and black afro and other traits that also link him to ancient India as well. However, they declared to us that he indeed was Hebrew Israelite and they went on to say that he looks just like the people in the Middle East. However, I dismissed their beliefs, however, it was about thirty years after they had said this that one day, I decided to do deep research about World War 2. Shockingly, one day, as I was looking at pictures of Ethiopians during World War 2, I was stunned because for the first time, I realized that my husband and some of his family members looked just like these Ethiopians. They didn't look like the images I see on the television of people in the Middle East, but they look like East Africans. Now too, I realize why my sons also have been told so many times by African immigrant college students that they look like they are from Ethiopia or Somali, etc. Based on my education here, in America, and my own personal research, I am completely in awe about the kind of history that I have recently uncovered about my heritage and the history of America and Ancient America as well. Even though, the Somalis are in a different region from the Ethiopians, based on the past events during the World Wars and more, many Ethiopians are probably considered to be from Somali too because they have been forcefully dislocated for one reason or another. I listened to a little of the video that you posted yesterday and plan to listen to all of it later, but when I heard one man say that AFrican Americans have a heritage here in America because we've been here for 400 years, I tell you that caused me to be emotional. Nevertheless like all species, when they are forced to mate, the offspring is the obvious proof that lions and tigers have different chromosomes even if they have the same number of chromosomes. Likewise, when a horse mates with a donkey, it becomes obvious that they are two distinct species because the offspring is usually NOT fertile or have other genetic deformities. So in all living things, when different species mate, the offspring is the key to the revelation of two distinct species of which is because the Y-chromosomes in males behave completely different or the chromosome numbers are different. yes Like the correlation to 'the Bay Horse' dark skin can have various origins. In the Primitive humans, Phaeomelanin could present as being dark skin or other due to mutations.
