The White Way or The RIGHT Way?
I'm glad I have not encountered any women who have expressed this sentiment to me. Of course that is possible, but people in power don't have to stress over that possibility. There are plenty of Brothers who would not behave that way in a professional environment. I would think you would be able to determine whether someone you recommended would behave that way before making the recommendation. Your concern seems contrived. Honestly, neither do I, not really. I do know I can't possibly do what they have done. The system does not work that way for us. These guys have access to the capital markets (investors), schools (quality education) and connections (being white in America) that Black people can not possibly have for several generations at least. Think about it. roughly 25 years ago Jeff decided to sell books online. Not exactly a novel idea, but he had connections on walls street who gave him enough money to sell books at a loss until he dominated not just the book business bit online commerce in general. Jeff did not make profit for at least a decade. but the kept pouring in. If you were I were operating that like we would have viewed as failures for not making any money. But Jeff and the wall street backers were playing the long game, for they knew Jeff was building a monopoly. No Black man has ever been allowed to do this, however the tech sector is exploding with young white boy with ideas that are being funded to see what sticks. The best we can do is hold out hand out on some crowd funding site.... Good, she does not need to know him LOL. I hope you hipped her to AALBC 😉

Perceptions about our power and future.
What?! I keep forgetting the foundation of your understanding of a variety of subjects would allow you to make that statement, so nevermind... LOL! OK, then name three such instances from history. @Pioneer1 step back and reflect on why this statement might be true. Play devil's advocate. So called white people do stupid shit too, as @Delano implied stupidity is evenly distributed. You just did not grow up around white people so you were not exposed to their stupid behaviors. I know you operate on a belief system based upon your personal observations, but surely you can imagine a scenario where white do dumb things too. Do an internet search for "Florida Man." BTW @Pioneer1 your photos with humorous graphics are cute, I know they take a minute to create and I appreciate the effort -- thanks!

Los Angeles Has Three Black Owned Bookstores
If you happen to be lucky enough to live in Los Angeles, CA have access to Malik Books (pictured), Reparations Club, and Eso Won! Both Mailk Books and Eso Won been in business for over 30 years and are cultural institutions. They also approach the business of books from a historical context -- which is important. For example, I don't have to explain why using Bookshop for a store's website is not only bad for your store, but bad for indie bookstores collectively. You may learn more about these terrific stores and others from across the country, on AALBC’s list of Black-owned Bookstores: #readingblack

AALBC Bestselling Books October 2020
Ours is the longest running and most visible bestsellers list focused on Black Books. As a result you will learn about book selling well, in the Black community, that will never show up in the venerated NY Times Bestsellers list. Sure there is some overlap with the NY Times list books like Caste, are popular in the white community too I would love to see all of the independent booksellers, who focus on Black books, come up with a bestsellers list, but that is a surprisingly difficult thing to do, for a variety of reasons. Here are the best selling books on AALBC for September and October of 2020. Read more here.

Perceptions about our power and future.
@Pioneer1 you over looked this statement do you agree with it? When has that ever happened? I'm talking about reasoning, critical thinking, history, math, etc, not how to dominate others.

How can Blacks advance economically under Harris Biden?
Hummm OK @daniellegfny good thing we had Trump in charge during the this global pandemic, huh?

The White Way or The RIGHT Way?
Of course. This is why I left Wall Street brought a place in FL and started running AALBC full-time. Of course I make a lot less money, but I have never been freer. This is why people like Candice, Harris, and Omorosa mess with white folks they value money, power, and fame. @Gibran is right when I got out of grad school and had white connections. I always got my jobs through people I know and all those people where white. There are some Black people who'd hook other Black people up, but those Black people are rare; (1) because we don't often have roles where we are in a position to hire someone and; (2) when they do they are often not included to hook another Black person up. Like Obama, they don't want to be perceived as showing favoritism. I agreed with most of what Boyce said it his video. Too bad his platform his social media, otherwise I might engage with him. This is true and it is hard to communicate this to people, because you come across a reactionary and angry. People often ask me what do you have against Amazon or Facebook. The bottom line is that Jeff Bezos is clear: he wants to completely control ecommerce -- perhaps all commerce. He is not playing; he straps up everyday ready for combat! His wealth is a testament to this attitude. As far as white people valuing our skills, they value their skills first. I remember how these book bloggers would get so much attention from the white media about their little blogs -- how influential, creative, and trailblazing they were. I compared what they were doing to what I was doing with AALBC and could not believe it. Of course all of those Bloggers are gone and AALBC has grown, but do I expect the white media to applaud me -- of course not. In 2020 white media's attention has moved on. Today some instagrammer with 100,000 followers is praised as the next great thing, while AALBC can get that many page views in a day. The white media does not care about what happens on Black platforms, we are invisible to them. Instagram's (owned by Facebook) market cap does not benefit us. Popular people on Instagram --even if the are Black -- benefits Instagram and that Black individual (temporarily). So the media praises and covers whatever goes on Instagram, and the platform is bolstered as a result. For those who care about books this is why I boycott Amazon and the new outfit Booshop.org. Those platforms have waged war against indie booksellers, publishers, distributors, and writers. Again if we don't see it we have already lost. War requires an army and sacrifice. If too many of us partner with the enemy, for personal gain and the rest of us are not willing to sacrifice we are ill prepared for, and can not engage in battle. As a result we are left fending for ourselves and this is pretty much our position today.

How can Blacks advance economically under Harris Biden?
So @daniellegfny you do you believe fewer people would have died if Trump had reacted differently to the Covid-19 crisis, which is worsening as we speak? You obviously don't believe Trump benefited from Obama's administration and many of the accomplishments listed are Obama's.

Is It True The Rich Aren’t Pay Their Fare Share of Taxes
Your premise is flawed. The right to vote has nothing to do with the taxes you pay. However our representation is a function if how much money you have. The very wealthy control our government. The U.S. is a plutocracy. Party does not really matter very much. Real change, to @Pioneer1's point, will only come through revolution. The civil war was needed to end slavery. Real change only comes after some pain Voting only really matters in the short term, real change, at least one that will make our government truly representative and enable everyone to share in the country's prosperity won't come easily.

Racial injustice and mental wellness
This says it all. You believe you are protecting Black boys from the evil racists who have added something to vaccines that target only Black boys and gives them autism. You have the inside knowledge being hid from us and everyone else are ignorant or fools (the morally convicted, recjects science). Of course not, because there aren't any. Correlation does not prove causation. I'm curious though were did you read about an increase in autism Black boys?

How can Blacks advance economically under Harris Biden?
Nice list; obviously someone put a lot of effort into creating it. The list leaves quite a few things out @daniellegfny. It does not address the president's reaction to the Covid-19 pandemic some estimate over 100,000 lives could have been saved this year if he reacted with sense. The list mentions unemployment and the economy numerous times, but fails to mention anything specific that 45 has done the resulted in booming economy and lower unemployment. The list completely over looks the fact that your president inherited a strong economy and growing unemployment, all of which has been more that reversed due to our reaction to Covid-19.

Perceptions about our power and future.
Individuals are objectively less strong than each other, subjectively less good looking, and differ in intelligence, but ascribing these differences to the artificial, and purely objective, racial designation is impossible; trying to generalize this across large groups of people makes absolutely less sense than not getting your child vaccinated.

Racial injustice and mental wellness
Yes exactly! What I wrote sounds crazy to you because it is crazy. You have contorted the crazy belief into verbiage that you can accept. It does not matter if there is nothing to substantiate your belief you choose to believe it and have fine tuned the language in such a way for it to make sense and sit with you. To me it sounds crazy. If you had children @Pioneer1 you really would not get them vaccinated? ---- I'm dropping no more f-bombs today slick. 🙂

Maskless White People Spreading Covid-19 !
I never entertained the idea.

Perceptions about our power and future.
There is a cliche that goes, "everything after the 'but' can be ignored." Usually white racists use scientific discoveries and other achievements to claim superiority over people with darker skin, commonly known as "Black." Others focus on the ability to colonize and exploit the bodies and resources of Black people as proof. They will all concede that Blacks are stronger because, naturally, we are more primative, ape-like. Sometimes Black people adopt these false beliefs as truth too. Why? Whenever something is repeated frequently enough, no matter how heinous (or stupid) it becomes easier for people to believe. In a county like America, where the myth of white superiority has been drummed into the brains of the population for centuries, the lie becomes easier to accept. Indeed we'll craft our own narratives to help it make sense ... ultimately it becomes a moral conviction which is virtually impossible to dispel. If you start with the false premise of race and accept that lie, you can then consider the idea that one so called race is superior to another. At that point you are primed to justify anything from eugenics to slavery based on skin color. I know there is nothing I can say to help you think about what you wrote differently, so I won't try. I just hope others do not follow up down the same path. This why I believe books are so important. But books by themselves are useless, if they are not read or can not be interpreted. Education is crucial, and as a culture we have dropped the ball on that big time.

Maskless White People Spreading Covid-19 !
Bro, you started the conversation with this.

Racial injustice and mental wellness
But you believe they do more harm than good, PLUS they are designed to give Black children autism, which just a crazy notion given all the good we have seen vaccines provide. I'm not worried about some corporation run by some white boys flagging this discussion forum for the use of a word. Google can go fuck themselves if they wanna flag this site for use of the word VACCINE! Don't get me started man...

Perceptions about our power and future.
No, I don't. The question however is loaded with assumptions.

Maskless White People Spreading Covid-19 !
@Pioneer1, again, as FAS pointed out and as I previously wrote your articles do not support your conclusions
-
Racial injustice and mental wellness
Oh I thought that was evident. Vaccines have saved countless lives and would completely have completely eradicated dangerous diseases were it not for you antivaxers. You reject the idea the reality that Vaccines provide a benefit to society. Of course I could point out your belief in multiple human races, but that would be too easy.

Sporting the AALBC Bestseller Seal a Great Way to Help Promote Your Book
The AALBC.com Bestselling Book, Different and the Same by Adijah & Atiya Brabham, has been republished TODAY in a larger format — great for reading with a child. It also sports AALBC Bestseller’s seal! Making a bestsellers list is always a good thing. Over the last 24 years AALBC has had over 1,400 bestselling books. Interestingly, most authors fail to exploit the achievement, so it is refreshing to see it happen. Adijah and Atiya went the extra step of actually printing the bestseller on the latest version of their book. Some authors apply the stickers. Because most authors/publishers don't do this I'm always extra supportive of those that do! It is a goo way to get some free promotion out of AALBC. I'll be offering a deal on this book shortly 🙂
