Creed III Breaks Box Office Record

The movie has broken a box office record for a sports film with a weekend opening gross of over $100 million worldwide:

Since I think Michael B. Jordan and Jonathan Majors are both talented actors, I'll definitely check the movie out the within the next few days.

I have not seen a Creed movie yet. I heard this is the first Rocky film without Stallone. I’m go back and watch the originals then check this one out.

 

In Philly there is a statue of Rocky, but world champ Smokin’ Joe has faded into obscurity.  I was driving down Broad street in Philly and saw Joe Fraser walking down the street  Given Jose` also had a son who boxed, I guess her is the original creed

I haven't seen any of the movies yet either.

I'm not sure why.
I guess I didn't feel it was important enough to go looking for it.....but I like Michael B. Jordan's movies.
Liked the brother since Black Panther.

IMO, Fruitvale Station was Michael B. Jordan's breakout movie. He did a great job portraying Oscar Grant who was killed by a transit race soldier.

Haven't watched Fruitvale Station and don't really have a desire too.
Is it pretty good?

We know what happened to our brother Oscar Grant up in Oakland, but was the entire incident enough to make a whole movie off of?

Fruitvale Station was a movie worth making because the same sh8t is still happening to our brothas and sistas to this day.

 

In that regard, there's no need to watch the movie since something similar happens to Black folks once or twice a year and it's all over the news.

The most fortunate people in the film industry are able to make the movies that are for financial growth while also make the movies for artistic growth. Michael b jordan seems to be in that zone a little.

I was gonna ask if Creed was worth seeing because I never saw it but I guess no one else has either? lol

Creed is worth watching. Very well done boxing movies in continuing the Rocky series.
