Black men have  no real power especially when the world is run by the system of white supremacy.

 

I don't see how white folks are more civilized when they are responsible for wars and conflicts and mass shootings and assassinations.

 

Black men do have a responsibility for 1)  unifying and 2) protecting Black folks.

 

However, it will require a herculean effort for Black men to make this happen because Black folks belong to so many different tribes.

I thought she had a baby and retired from bashing Black men on the internet, lol.

In a way I kind of liked Cynthia G (not sexually) because her criticism of Black men seemed more sincere and coming from a place of pain and wanting us to do better.  I'd even consider SOME of her criticism "constructive" at times. 
As opposed to just saying every nasty and disrespectful thing she could imagine to please racist White men who love hearing our women bash Black men.

I find it a bit ironic that with all the criticism she does OF Black men, that she'd actually go out and get pregnant BY a Black man who doesn't wed her...lol.

She's just hurt and looking for love.
It's hard to be mad at a woman in that position.

We don't see white women criticizing white men in public.

They do it to a certain extent but they don't specifically call out "White men".
They criticize "men" in general and it's almost a given in their community that they're talking about White men because they simply aren't focused on other races of men.

I was watching a show with Indian women criticizing Indian men and they called them out by race.
Same with Ethiopians, Koreans, and other non-White groups.
These women were asking what's wrong with "---- men" and why are "---- men" so oppressive or sexually uptight or aggressive?

These other groups compare their men to White men, as if he's the standard to measure men by.
 

 

There's more constructive avenues for dealing with emotional issues. Bashing Black men won't solve anything in her life oele society at large.

 

I guess she's just blowing off steam....lol.

Yes, there needs to be Black Unity at least, to some significant level. 

To think that there will be a complete Black Unity is a pipe dream though, but if there was some sort of significant organization, then it would be so beneficial.

Because there are some Black people I have absolutely NO intention or desire to unite with.

If experience tells us we can't get along with every member of our own families, what makes us think we can get along with every member of our race?

Right. Even during the Civil Rights movement Black folks weren't unified monolithically.

 

As @richardmurray pointed out, Black folks have to build unity with like-minded folks...their tribe.

 

Addendum...establishing and supporting Black-owned financial institutions does not require adherence to a belief or ideology. It does allow ALL Black folks to belong to the same tribe in some way.

At the root of the calls for unity Is the "misery loves company" mentality. Why can't black individuals just get in where they fit in and become financially successful? Money is the great equalizer."Each one teach one"  is a more pragmatic formula for success.

How obligated is a person of color to carry the burden of race on their shoulders?

The message being sent by the absolute failure of the  tired old suggestions mentioned is clear, and should be heeded.

Most of the time, Black folks "getting in where they fit in" to make money means working for white people.

 

Black folks do not control their natural resources. No industries.

I was always told that wisdom comes with age.
I was always told that as I got older, I would become wiser.

This is so true........

Just like I no longer advocate for blanket "Black Unity"; I no longer advocate for all Black people to own their own "businesses" or even stop working for White folks.

It's about degrees and levels.

It is IDEAL for a Black person to have their own successful business, but if they can't run a successful business then it's best for them to work for another Black person who IS running one.

And if they can't find a successful Black business to work for and the bills need to be paid, it's best to go ahead and work for White folks if they're paying you right.

It's better than being homeless or doing something demeaning for survival.
