  1. Troy Absolutely. There's a verse in the Bible that says, "A wise man changeth often...while a fool changeth not" When new information (especially facts) are presented to you, then ofcourse you should reconsider your position on a subject and change it if necessary. Even the best generals know this in warfare. I think PRIDE gets in the way of a lot of men changing their positions.
  2. These folks work on troll farms. But they're nothing like day laborers who pick fruit and vegetables. They are puppets paid to disrupt by posting propaganda. I like your approach too! I bet, academic debate teams are training using these pawns too! Ok @Cynique remember when @Delano said you're a magi and we all agreed lol... Look what came up in my feed yesterday ๐Ÿ˜จ "Four-year-old given vasectomy when doctors performed wrong operation" Four-year-old given vasectomy when doctors performed wrong operation (msn.com) " The child from Texas went in for an operation for the hernia in his groin area in August last year, but a doctor mistakenly cut one of the tubes that carries semen. It means the boy will likely need to have further surgery and could face fertility issues later in life."
  3. @GregRight, so why don't you abandon the black community and cross over into the other world where a wanna-be white, boot lickin negro like you will be well received. Good Riddance and don't forget to take your knee pads.
  4. You shouldn't be afraid, especially during Pride month.
  5. which is so often confused. say you have a position on a subject, learn more and change your position as a result. That is disparage today as, โ€œflip-flopping.โ€
  6. We owe our brave white soldiers a huge debt of gratitude. Those brave white men from the north ( Union) sacrificed their lives freeing the black slaves of the south. We also owe a huge debt of gratitude to president lincoln ! Even though slavery was 175 years ago, we never want to forget those brave soldiers of the north.
  7. You are an intellectual Alpha Dog but sometimes you wanna B!tch. And there is always some Butch @ss to feed the bear.
  8. @Cynique a "troll" is indeed someone who spams posts with their political views and propaganda. Trolling can be executed with a bot, but generally the more sophisticated trolling is implemented with an actual human and increasingly AI. The goal of trolls vary from just being a nuisance by posting porn, advertisements, and other garbage to trying trying to influencing opinion and manipulating people. Trolls are always characterized by the fact that they can't be reasoned with for they are not interested in dialogue. They are interested in pushing a view point, which is why they sound like a "broken record." This is what gives Greg his troll-like characteristics the incessant repetition of BS. For example, according to Greg, a Black man who works hard and raises his children is called a sell-out. Who calls these Black men that? I'm one of those Black men. I've been called a lot of things, but sell-out was never one of them. A troll pushes absurd notions like this. Greg and I can agree on one thing perhaps; "There is something seriously wrong with the black community." Of course Greg would say it is the Black community itself that is the problem, and I'd assert it is the unaddressed problem of living under extremely hostile conditions for hundred of years in this country. @Greg for example sees George Floyd as the problem, the poster child of all the ills of the Black community he's been repeating here. That is shallow and narrow view. Greg will never pick up a book to understand context. They embrace the simplistic view point because it is easy. It is why many white folks were shocked by what happen to Floyd two years.
  9. Too bad Reconstruction led to southern blacks being re-enslaved via sharecropping and Jim Crowism, and lynchings. Brave black soldiers fought for their country in 2 world wars as members of a segregated military, only to return home to a country that still treated them as second class citizens. Get outta here with all of your white washed history.
  10. Because "passa" didn't say it. Our history was supposed to be preserved by our black churches. But like many black booksellers, black churches have also come under federal fire for keeping, teaching, and preserving our legacy. A sniper assassinated cur "passas," and ghouls bombed our churches. All these activities, over the years, have weakened those who lead in our sacred spaces. But more than ever, we have to share our history orally now that the current powers are removing our books from public institutions. We must continue speaking out and sharing Black American and African tribal history the best we can. Note: Passas = Pastors
  11. "Nonentity" as in what is popularly referred to as a "nobody" or - an unimportant person. "Detached psychiatrist" as in an "objective clinician".
  12. @Cynique youโ€™ve dispensed a considerable amount of wisdom and your talent at doing so continues to impress me. Glutton for punishment or not, given the time you to took respond to Greg, I presume you do not believe they are a true troll. They remain incorrigible as ever. If they are not a troll, they are not too bright. While your words are wasted on them, fortunately, I and other readers have benefited from your words. Thank you.
  13. Yep. Another proverb says pride comes before the fall. ๐Ÿ˜Ž
  14. A hate crime has a specific definition according to the FBI. Every crime committed against another group of people doesn't automatically qualify as a hate crime.๐Ÿ˜Ž
  15. It would appear that you are mistaken on the first count, and powerless in the second.
  16. No, the point is, that the ones you are criticizing don't care what you think. There's a mutual lack of respect between you and them. They consider you and your kind sell-outs and there's nothing you an do about it. Yes, they are losers. But so are you. Get over it.
  17. Greg We've heard what you said for DECADES. Yet despite continually hearing those dire statistics about crime, poverty, and the need for more fathers the problem persists because the people haven't acted on your "solutions". Infact, in another thread you said, "Im not telling anything blacks dont already know? Thats the damn point ! They still do it !" According to you, they KNOW yet continue the destructive behavior. If they haven't changed this behavior even after knowledge of how to improve things has come to them DECADES ago as far back as the 80s, then surely you don't expect for them to change because of YOU or anyone else repeating those stats to them and asking that they make a change....do you? If it hasn't worked for 40 years and things have gotten worse, there's no need to expect for them to be better by simply repeating "You need to do better....you need to do better....you need to get off drugs and take care of your kids." over and over again. So my question remains, what do YOU think the SOLUTION will have to be if simply bringing this to their attention hasn't improved the Black community? The way the human mind works.... No one comes up with problems without atleast entertaining solutions...proven or unproven.
  18. There will be a rise in the number of babies among poor unwed white women if/when abortion becomes illegal. ๐Ÿ˜Ž
  19. @Mel Hopkins I like to know things and understand dynamics. I don't mind making a mistake but wronging a person is an entirely different matter. In a storm grass bends and trees fall. So I am not trying to confuse strength with rigidity.
  20. @Pioneer1 oh hon-ty, You should read my book! Or even have read my blog back in the day! Google kicked me out of the advertising program until I removed one of my posts. So let's be mindful of Troy's platform. Google AdSense frowns upon "let's talk about sox" topics. Most women I know aren't shy about sox or even talking about it. But think about it - we are all still learning when we're young. So it's anything that goes until you know what works. Now, if someone asked me back then or even now how many O's I have had... I'd wonder why he wanted to know and I would most likely be turned off. I've heard women my age and younger say "He ain't ready" and here's why. I learned early on that you can learn a lot about a man's approach to intimate encounters by his ability to hold a stimulating conversation about everything else. It seems to have something to do with intellect, an open mind and creativity. Compelling conversationalists always seem to bring heightened encounters. While climaxing is great, the best encounter can transpire over days...Sort of like the scene from Modern Problems with Chevy Chase and Patti D'Arbanville. I didn't know that was possible but I learned it is transcendent. I believe this is why many women seek out "sapiosexuals." With those types,a lot of O's happen while we're fully clothed. And usually that's just the beginning.
  21. @GregThe broken record you won't take off the turntable is deteriorating into static. Furthermore, you are so insulated in what you consider a perfect life, that you actually believe that all problems have viable solutions and that logistics play no role in regulating human behavior. Also, although talk is cheap your words are no bargain. They are counterfeit. Be advised that social services are an industry. What the bottom half of society does, is create employment for those who work for the agencies and charities that minister to the indigent and downtrodden - and well coiffed, beautifully manicured baby mamas. Whatever. Welfare doesn't cost the nation nearly as much as the military industrial complex nor the tax breaks corporate America benefits from. A good conservative Republican mouth piece like you should appreciate the well-oiled coordination between the haves and the have-nots that keep this Capitalistic country running. Since you are so deep into shaming, you should focus on other areas of society that reek with white collar disgrace and corruption. But apparently your assignment is to stick to the script, and continue to hammer away at what a liability blacks are to the nation that has contributed to what many of them have become. Your lectures and reprimands accomplish nothing. You're not telling blacks anything that we don't already know. The problems remain because we are not miracle workers. And you, in your role of a conservative lackey, are a part of the problem, not the solution.
  22. Oh, so you admit that you're basing your claims....not on actual statistics....but on VIDEOS that you see being posted on the mainstream media! That explains a lot.
  23. Not sure about "we" because I'M not having babies out of wedlock or living an irresponsible lifestyle. If YOU are....I suggest you stop it and atone.
  24. @GregGlutton for punishment that I am, I have indigestion from being subjected to the myopia of your tunnel vision which also serves as an echo chamber for the typical black conservative narrative you parrot. Everything you lament about between the lines of your thinly-disguised white envy, is bracketed in the phrase "the black community". In your relentless critiques you persist in equating community with class. but I'm here to challenge your rhetoric. The types you rant about are only a portion of the "black community" and they fall under the sub-heading that sociologists categorize as the underclass, they are the people who abide in the "inner cities", a sanitized term for the "ghetto". To you, it's as though the black middle class which represents a different lifestyle within the black community, doesn't exist. But it does. You are not some rare paragon of virtue. There are millions of other blacks who your sordid scenarios don't describe. You're always admonishing people for not facing the truth and you need to follow your own advice. The black community is not a monolith! It is made up of different classes. But you won't be silenced in your campaign against absentee fathers and their baby mamas, droning the same ol tired solutions full of hot air that will never solidify. You will continue to argue that this problem and what it spawns is much worse among blacks. I, therefore, propose a cure-all for what is not just a black dilemma because what you disapprove of occurs among all ethnicities. Since males are the ones with whom the trouble begins, I suggest a law be passed to perform reversible vasectomies on all boy babies at birth. Sterilize them until such time as they have proven they are upstanding, gainfully-employed members of society ready for marriage, - a rite which will be preceded by an operation to reverse the vasectomy. And all will be right with the world... Of course the odds of this happening are zilch. So just get on with your squeaky clean rubber stamp life and shut up. What you envision for the black race is not realistic. Why? Because its members are what they are and this is not a perfect world. And, personally speaking, I'd rather belong to an interesting multi-faceted species who come in all varieties and who, in spite of so much adversity, have still retained a remarkable ability to enjoy themselves, - unlike a tight-ass square like you.
  25. Greg, it's obvious that you're disappointed in and disgusted with black folks. Hopefully, you've been able to set your family up in a safe and healthy environment that you all will never come across the black folks you despise. There are plenty places in America with a less than 1% black population. Check out the great state of Wyoming. ๐Ÿ˜Ž
  26. @Mel Hopkins, thanks for listening to the WSJ Panel. Did you notice at the end how passionately the ladies described the books that they were reading. The is the thing that a good bookseller can do. If you find a bookstore where the sales people are actually book people you are very fortunate. While there are more Black-owned stores stores than ever -- there are probably fewer booksellers than ever. @Stefan, you mentioned that I called you a troll once, I'm actually drawing your attention to Greg, who has clearly demonstrated that they are a toll. Their post above is an example. You struck me like this initially, but over time my opinion changed. ๐Ÿ˜‰ Now all Greg is doing is ranting about "black women need to stop having babies out of wedlock at a young age." he is not adding anything new to the conversation and appears to be solely interested, not in dialogue, but in advancing racist stereotypes. If it continues I will ban his account. In 25 years I have banned less than a handful of accounts. If anyone disagrees I'm open to hearing your thoughts.
  27. Guns enable and embolden those with criminal intent. These predators are nothing without a gun. Their victims can fend them off; especially if they are young kids. A gun is the extension of a hand. A trigger is the partner of a finger. Guns do kill people because they obey their owners.
  28. AfroAmerican men can solve the problems that plague our communities from raising their children to creating economic opportunities and building wealth. However, the proliferation of legal firearms in America is a bigger issue. It still needs to be addressed why white folks need so many guns. ๐Ÿ˜Ž
  29. Yeah I saw that story. The only "religion" these racist bastards believe in is the religion of White Supremacist Ideology. They believe White people should rule the world. THAT is their TRUE religion. All of these other religions are masks that they wear to infiltrate or deceive the rest of society....especially peopel of color. A racist will wake up a Jew and go to bed a Christian. A racist will eat breakfast as a Democrat and have supper as a Liberatarian. They will claim to be ANYTHING they need to be to serve their purpose...which is domination and exploitation.
  30. @Pioneer1, while some believe it is turning purple, beyond Atlanta, Georgia is still a very white state. Voter Suppression is their power play. IMO, Stacey Abrams is putting up a helluva fight considering the strength of her opponent. It's going to take a lot more resources and effort to correct the ills of her home state. NF Jr. provided the best commentary on POTUS Barack Obama. The Democrats *selected* him and used his intelligence and charisma to further the party agenda. There was no way those white folks were going to allow him to use their money to champion a pro-Black agenda. That's not how politics work. I have heard of brotha Gregg Marcel Dixon. He's running to unseat James Clyburn who happens to be one of the key folks in galvanizing the black vote to secure the POTUS nomination for Joe Biden. Brotha Dixon has the right amount of passion and energy to put up a fight. If he's able to beat Clyburn which is an uphill battle, I think he'll end up in a position similar to Rep. Cori Bush (MO). Folks like Abrams, Dixon and Bush have their hearts and minds in the right place politically. But, black folks need to provide them with a solid agenda from which to work. ๐Ÿ˜Ž
