Well people can legitimately argue that i let Greg go on too long. When i first considered dropping him most were indifferent or wanted to use him for target practice. So i did not drop him. i suggested that i would “miss” him but that was because i enjoyed y’all’s reactions at times. When the posts he started began dominating the forum that was the end for me. Still sought the opinion of the other group members.
  2. Surviving is relatively easy to quantify. 😁 Thriving is a slippery slope because it means different things to individuals. I know folks who are more broke than a bag of glass but they're happy clams in their existence. OTOH, I know folks who are well off and miserable as h8ll for one reason or three. Then, there's the mix in the middle. Folks surviving and thriving to varying degrees and they're good with it. None are suicidal as far as I know. I'll keep uplifting everyone for good measure. 😎
  3. Don't stop preaching unity. Somebody will get the message. Lose the divisiveness and condescension.😁😎
  4. Sure. Many of us do present good images and serve as positive role models to those around us. However, the media is counter-productive and extremely powerful in its far reaching effect in negatively programming how the world sees black men. Those same people make a ton of money exploiting its black minority. We should be turning the tables using their weapons i.e. media. Since I'm not a miserable person, in gambling parlance, I'm playing with house money. I know my testimony, personal success and positive attitude uplifts and motivates the brothas and sistas around me to do better. My family is extremely religious. I'm not. My folks are holding on to a belief that I'm running away from a calling. Nope. I believe my *ministry* is all about encouraging black folks to come together and do better. My ministry doesn't cost them any tithes and offerings either.😁 I have more faith in my vision/dreams of seeing black folks win now instead of them waiting on a sky fairy. The Supreme Being didn't gift me with knowledge and talent for no reason. Surely, I'm supposed to use it for something. I'll go with uplifting black folks.😎
  5. I've said it over and over again online and in real life. Lately I've been saying it at my job. People stand there and hear me, many even listen to me, but most of them don't react. I'm not sure if it's that they don't believe me or simply don't care because they got so much going on in their own lives. As AfroAmericans we can have ANYTHING WE WANT as long as you unite and demand it. Really, it doesn't take for all or even most of us to unite. All it takes is a CRITICAL MASS of AfroAmericans in any given setting and racism collapses or submits to our demands whatever they may be. Whether it's government programs, grants, more jobs, higher wages, more business opportunities, sexual favors, etc....history has shown over and over again that all it takes if for us to UNITE and then put forth a clear and uncompromising demand....backed up by a willingness to FIGHT if necessary...for us to get whatever demands we place. It's so frustrating to KNOW this and yet not see it being enacted to the extent I desire.

@ChevdoveHi. Did you watch the World Track and Field Finals on NBC tonight? Weren't the relays thrilling! Our girls really did their thing, taking first place. The first person I thought about was you, wondering if you were checking this out. 😃
  7. POTUS PJB isn't letting the virus slow him down one bit. Of course, at 79 years old, he's had 2 shots and 2 boosters and a round of Paxlovid to battle it. Otherwise, I don't believe the victims' families nor survivors of 9/11 will feel a sense of closure over the drone strike killing of Ayman al-Zawahiri. It took 21 years and a $25M bounty on his head. For many folks, it's too little too late. If nothing else, I guess it sends a message to America's adversaries that there is no statute of limitations on executions depending on the administration in charge. 😎
  8. Well, could be because "art is imitating life". All black men are not heroic brilliant paragons of masculinity and noble character - nor are all white men. Why look to the media to do what black men can do for themselves: present good images and exemplify admirable role models. America is run by white people who apparently don't feel the need to cater to the demands of its black minority. That's life, fellas. We've established the African Americans are not monolithic. And all of the hair-tearing and breast-beating for black unity will never amount to anything but misery loving company. So black men should just be the best they can be and try to set good examples for the kids they father. Each one, teach one. Stop expecting reality to conform to your dreams.
  9. The thread title is misleading. We may never know the truth whatever that means regarding the virus; response and outcomes. The POTUS can only share as much information as he's provided and/or allowed to disclose. 😎

@GregSMH You are so dense and dumb - the total captive of your one-track mind. The "superior race" headline is a play-on-words pun referring to a sporting event (race) which because the members of one team ran faster than its opponents, their team proved to be the best (superior) one by coming in first. Your stupidity apparently extends to your eyesight, making you unable to see that 2 of the runners on the team that won the race were "white". Once again your lack of critical thinkin skills makes you mentally inferior and just plain stupid.

greg consistently does this one thing and it confirmed my suspicion early on that he's a white nationalist in a digital blackface. greg writes white with an uppercase "W" and Black with a lowercase "b." Black people wrote Black in uppercase long before it appeared in the AP style guide. So, if this were a game of poker, that would be his tell.
