thank you @Pioneer1 I don't think I say much. Alot of reiteration or common knowledge. What prompted me was my goal when I first got on AALBC that has never changed. I want this site to be a better place for Black people online, as I define them, to interact and act through. I am busy so I don't always have time and I focused on trying to make content. But I realized my goal for AALBC needed me to be better engaged. I know AALBC has a big mountain to climb as big sites have far better resources and pay for high profile members but...

-is our brother @richardmurray...lol. I've been seeing your name on posts for YEARS but didn't know you were such a deep thinker when it came to race and politics until the past couple months. It seems you only posted in some of the other forums but almost never posted in the culture-race-economy forum (just like I rarely post on any other forum but this one) until recently. I'm glad we have an opportunity to interact more with our brother but I'm curious; what prompted you to "expand your horizons"....so to speak???

All things considered from what you've written, I'm not surprised 1) that he didn't heed your warnings and 2) he got fired. More often than not, younger folks do not listen to their elders. They think they're smart and know better especially if they're in a higher position. Folks in positions of authority and/or greater responsibility makes it even worse. In their minds, only higher ups on the totem pole can tell them anything. White supremacists will make an example of out anybody. Firing a Black supervisor who is a rising star in the company is a subliminal message to keep everyone else in line. Your former co-worker was a sacrificial lamb. Do not feel sorry for him. If he was that good, he'll land on his feet elsewhere. Hopefully, the lesson he learned from racism will be a humbling experience.😎
