I cheated. I scrolled down to see if @aka Contrarian had responded. So now, I might be biased and bend towards her opinion. Anyway, I am not interested in the facial hair being an attraction for me, with the exception of my husband, when he doesn't get on my nerves. 🙂 For years, he had no facial hair. When he decided to grow facial hair, it took him a year of agitating his face and filling in with an eyebrow and then he finally did. So, I am accustomed to seeing him without much facial hair, but now, he will grow a little bit of a pepper colored facial hair. My sons too, don't grow that much facial hair, but they have done so sometimes. I think that a man may or may not look good with it, but it depends on the individual person in how they are attractive with it or not, imo. My thoughts exactly. 🙂 lol! I am looking forward to reading you after surgery!

Also, Lester Holt, NBC's black evening news anchor is "stepping down". Don't know if it's voluntarily or not. I must admit, I always found Lester to be rather dull but I trusted him to tell the truth sooo - there's that. Heads are really rollimg. Who I think really needs to retire is Whoopi Goldberg. She's just taking up space in her capacity as moderator of ABC's popular daytime talk show "The View". Going on 70 years old, her contribution to the proceedings is just ho-hum. Joy Reid would make a good replacement for her by bringing more depth and journalistic professionalism to the table. i also hear that CBS is coming out with a program to compete with The View, giving equal time to the right wing conservative POV, trotting out Megan Kelly and Candace Owens as co-hosts. EU. 🤑 CBS also debuted "Beyond The Gates", its new daytime soap opera showcasing a predominately black cast of attractive, mostly light-skinned, DEI-free actors portraying a bunch of bougie negroes and the conflicted lives they lead. I watched the first episode and was semi-impressed.

I also don't consider her a jazz artist. Although that wasn't in the post . It just said music. I have to say on the Jazz side Robert Glasper is amazing. He did a show with a full orchestra on Northern Europe. Also his vocalist Bilal is amazing. The only current female I can think of is H.E.R. vocally Indo like Jazmine Sullivan and Muni Long

Hummm. I, for one, have better things to do than to try and picture what kind of facial hair I prefer on a man. As if men would even be interested in the opinion of somebody my age who is out of the loop. To come up with an opinion, I have to go back in time to the days when I gave a damn about what men looked like.... Just for the record, I'm not big on facial hair. Neat mustaches, fine. close shaven VanDykes and goatees, okay, bushy or shaggy full-grown beards, - not so much. Solid dark color. preferred. Anything else a distraction because I simply don't like the wolf man effect of facial hair. My personal preference: clean shaven. I know I'm out of step with what is currently very popular. It's like guys nowadays take great pride in being able to grow a beard and like being envied by those who can't. 😴 As for the sub topic about the virtues and rewards of "confident" men... Again, back in the day, - I always gravitated toward the laid-back understated type; even a tad self-depricating. wry wit a plus. More often than not, these types had the most going for them, intellectually. To me, it was a compliment if one of them tried to seduce me. No accounting for tastes... Oh well. Chevedove and Mel, you can chime in. I'm going back to fretting over how too much of my energy is being consumed by despising Retrumpican MAGAs, - black ones in particular. Police Killing of Robert Brooks & the New York Correction Officer Strike I've been busy but checking out the forum today. I was wondering if there were any mention of the recent murder of a Black man, Robert Brooks, in December 2024 by White Policemen caught on body cam that went viral. Some report the recent strike may have been sparked due to this murder. He was handcuffed. They kicked him, shoved something down his throat, and etc. and was going to throw him out the window. I don't understand how Black people can not see this for what it is. How can these kind of acts be defined as human beings dong this. Whether these kind of acts come from White racism or Black-on-Black violence, this is not acts committed by a human being, but some kind of demon.
