I thought when Spirit Airlines filed for bankruptcy and was on its last legs, this would've been a good opportunity for a black investment group to step in and take it over. There are enough wealthy black entertainers out there to pool their funds and take over ownership of an economy flight airline company. They could've changed its name from "Spirit" Airlines to "Soul" Airborne. Byron Allen should've made this a project instead of buying air time from CBS to showcase panels of unknown comedians to fill the late night time slot made available by the termination of Stephen Colbert.

Democrats believe they will do well in the mid-terms merely as a result of the GOP's own undoing. They think Americans will be fed up enough to vote blue regardless. While it is possible that mid-terms elections could swing the House back to Democrats, there is no guarantee that it will make POTUS OJ a lame duck. The current administration has already shown & proven that they don't need Congressional approval to do much of anything. IMO, POTUS OJ will continue grifting & enriching his family & friends during the last 2 years of his presidency. That should not prevent Democrats from growing a spine & coming with tangible benefits to the American people for whenever the current dark clouds roll away & POTUS OJ the clown leaves the White House.😎

Admittedly, I do not watch BET+ but I know a lot of people that do. IMO, Paramount would not have bought BET+ if there was no value there. Even if BET+ had become a streaming platform with ads, the same people would have watched it. Especially as folks cut the cable. Another missed opportunity for Black investment. Soul Airborne could have given Southwest Airlines a run for the money. Whole lotta Black folks bring their chicken & Chinese food on their Southwest flights.🤣😎

The handwriting has been om the wall since the Ellisons through Paramount Skydance have been gobbling up mass media companies. Before POTUS OJ leaves office, a lot of news will be right-wing & TV programming will be heavily white nationalistic. Paramount bought BET+ from Tyler Perry. It will be absorbed into Paramount+. I do not foresee Paramount pushing Black content. Hopefully the move to white nationalism will disappear whenever the reign of POTUS OJ ends.😎

ProfD It could last forever if someone was willing to keep it going beyond him. I don't see that kind of movement among the MAGA base. These people will enjoy the BS POTUS OJ is creating & when the proverbial picnic is over, they'll get in their pick-up trucks & go home. In fact, the MAGA base is already becoming jaded. In 2 years or less, they will fade away like the Tea Party. If I may, allow me to use YOUR OWN WORDS to push back against this belief.... Don't think out of 74 million people none of them will try to take advantage of the atmosphere he's made by keeping the flame burning and keeping the momentum going long past his presidency. They're using him and his presidency as the "pilot episode" for a long term series. POTUS Obama was the 1st of a kind that we'll never see again in our lifetime. If we don't, trust me...I won't be shedding any tears over it. We needs a full fledged FBA brutha (or sista....but preferably a brutha) in the White House. No more funny ass niggaz with funny names of questionable racial backgrounds. We needs a JEROME JACKSON up in that Oval Office. I believe starting with the 2028 election, the next few POTUS will be plain in terms of their personality & actions; rather dull & boring. The fact that you believe there will even BE a 2028 election gets you marked as "Optimist Of The Year" in my book....lol.

ProfD No, he won't be around forever but the foundation of socially accepted racism and fascism as well as the fascist restructuring of the government that he's attempting to lay COULD last for decades to come. For more than 10 years he's been busy making openly racist and hostile language "acceptable" in the media and in society in general. The things he's said and has encouraged his followers to say was unthinkable just 20 years ago for any private citizen to be allowed to say let alone the President. When the media reported him saying "when a man has money women will let him do anything including grab them in the pussy".....and folks still voted for him by the millions, I knew it was down hill from there....lol.

I was also confused by the name the defendant shared with an NBA player. Now, I remember this case. Such a shame. Not so long ago a case like this would've spurred a lynch party to take the law in its own hands. They say this crime has split its community along racial lines. It's just so unfortunate how the disputes between young people nowadays can end in murder. The defendant and his white victim were on the same high school track team and there was bad blood between them with the black kid ending up stabbing the white one to death. Young black people do not seem to be aware of how hard to get away with murdering a white person is. No matter what the circumstances, the consequences are brutal, not worth ruining your life for. There's a documentary currently streaming out there called "Crash" about a white high school student who had a "mean girl" reputation and who, when her boyfriend started to get fed up with her possessiveness, she took him and his black buddy for a high speed auto ride, driving up to100 mph, ending up deliberately crashing into a brick wall, totalling the car and killing her 2 passengers. She managed to survive and the documentary focuses on how so steeped she was in her sense of entitlement, that she exhibited little remorse or guilt. But, a jury did find her guilty and she was given 15 years to life. During a phone conversation with her mother from the woman's reformatory where she is serving her time, she complained about being "bored", still showing no guilt, enabled by her doting mother who blamed the prison authorities for not catering to her daughter. And, of course, she has appealed her sentence. I don't know what the moral of these 2 cases is. But murdering someone who displeased you, is never a good idea.
