You just illustrated the problem of the bureaucratic state. What people are calling systemic racism is really not attitudinal or cultural it lies in the residual regulations that need to be pruned from all levels of government. They are the tinder that is helping America to burn. This is why the principal of removing two or more regulation for each new one is an important process in multiple ways.

It’s illegal And my comment is not a slight of America. Gun Ownership is our constitutional right. I just need to move to another state for a gun
-
That’s only if @Troy stops trying to drag me into it. I don’t even own a gun so I don’t know what he is talking about. I do have an NRA membership, it doesn’t shoot bullets.

@Troywhat did I say bad about America?
-
@Pioneer1you have truly earned my prayers.

No, I am not talking about the questionable activity of send money to strangers. I am talking about using the tools 🛠 available here on AALBC. I just used my Libro.fm membership to send a Mother to be in the Caribbean a gift of my audiobook Auntie I Don’t Want You To Get Married. I would love if you considered my work as a gift to give.

Best success.

A typo Mystery System of Kemit.

What white people did the Mysterious System support?
-
I didn’t criticize. I asked questions. @Pioneer1 I am religious. It provides structure and community.

@Dee Miller @Pioneer1 both of you seem to want to stay trapped in the European paradigm of race. Someone said when we were in Africa we didn’t think of ourselves as Black, we just were us. This makes me think about chapter 14-15 of Why Are All The Black Kids Sitting Together. How would the mixed kids be regarded in the sorting process. It’s about control. It has nothing to do with with reality. That’s why they changed the Census and implemented the 1 drop rule. Actually we have more Blacks who are claiming to be white than whites claiming to be Black. Carol Channing comes to mind.

I am less judgmental than @Pioneer1 Although he is correct in his pronouncements on proper sexual behavior. When you see sexual, as opposed to affection, between single sex organisms it’s a deviation from the normal.

When Andrew Gillum was arrested after losing the Florida Governor race, my first thought wasn’t “Oh no another Marion Berry”. My thoughts directly went to “Hmmm I wonder if he was swinging with Don Lemon and Chris Cuomo.” I remember when young black men started coming home with shoelaces untied and and pants sagging down. Are we witnessing the final stages of destruction of the traditional sexual roles as a new sexualization revolution is taking place before our eyes? What impact will it have on future generations?

You design the cover? It’s nice.

The Constitution most definitely is a requirement. It’s not unreasonable to include a course covering the Constitution in Police Academies. It seems that all parties would benefit from Deadly Force training. Dialogue is the starting point to change according to I just finished listening today. I will need to go through it again.

Have You Subscribed to Libro.fm Yet?
daniellegfny replied to daniellegfny's topic in Black Literature
Hi Ann @Troy told me about Libro.fm and AuthorsRepublic. Ama Dadson the owner of Akoobooks reached out to me after seeing my AALBC post announcing the upcoming audiobook release of Auntie I Don’t You To Get Married. Also Ama is helping to translate our work into traditional African languages. I can’t wait until we have the audiobook version of Clarence The Cabbie Confidential: Mommy Be So Mean She Takes My Money -
When I first found out about Libro.fm I subscribed right away. Then I found out about AuthorsRepublic and I used the to distribute my audiobook along with Akoobooks. I believe both of these platforms deserve special attention from our community. The first one because it helps this site grow. The second is because it strengthens the bonds between those in the Diaspora and the Motherland. I would love to see which Audiobook you have on either platform. And do give mine a whirl.

Black? Independent? Houston We have a Problem
daniellegfny replied to daniellegfny's topic in Culture, Race & Economy
The article doesn’t go up to Earl Harris Sr last position as a Republican County Surrogate which was the Campaign that was managed by my father. You actually have to read the other article posted in one of these forums to see the comments by my father regarding the political party. -

No my father was the one who got elected as a Republican. Party affiliations are meaningless. It’s about what and who is going to get the most for your community. As the Jesse Jackson State Coordinator he made the observation that depending upon results it may create the opportunity for a new party. 1987-1988: Earl Harris (Republican), Elected 1986. Died in office in 1988. Harris was a longtime Newark City Council President who joined the Republican ticket in 1986 to run with Amato. He defeated East Orange attorney Daniel Williams. This was as Essex County Surrogate his last position.
