  1. If you read all of the posts, there's plenty dialog that isn't a complaint and could be constructive. However, if you only choose to focus on the posts that get under your skin that's a different concern. ๐Ÿ˜Ž
  2. Slavery was more brutal in Caribbean but those white folks could not sustain it. So, they left a small group to run the island nations. That's why island nations are still sending money to the British monarchy, Dutch, French or whoever controls their resources. ๐Ÿ˜Ž
  3. @Pioneer1, America rewards every other group of people of color because they serve as a buffer between white folks and AfroAmericans. No other group of people in America is affected by the system of racism white supremacy to the same degree as AfroAmericans. Other groups of people of color do not feel entitled to an American inheritance because they didn't earn it. They're just happy to be in this country. AfroAmerican politicians and leaders should be more aggressive and diligent in using their position of comfort to dismantle the system from within especially if they haven't been compromised by it.๐Ÿ˜Ž
  4. Slavery outside the US was different. The Europeans did some brutal sh8t but the island peoples didn't It fall in line. The Europeans didn't press the issue in the same way as white American slaveowmers. Instead of enslaving the island peoples, Europeans took control of their resources into perpetuity and left them in poverty.๐Ÿ˜Ž
  5. @Pioneer1, you're right....white folks do throw each other under the bus. But, they're always on code about it as you mentioned in knowing how, when and who to sacrifice. More importantly, non-whites definitely do not benefit from white folks going against each other. Look no further than those fools storming the U.S. Capitol and the outcome. ๐Ÿ˜Ž
  6. Lighten up bro. ๐Ÿคฃ If I thought there was an agenda behind these movies, I would not have seen them and would have been posted a similar concern. While I do believe some movies and music could contain subliminal messages, I listen for it while enjoying the artistic value. It's no different from violent movies and gangsta rap. We have to be mature enough to separate fact from fiction. When it comes to art in general, we should be able to acknowledge and appreciate talent, imagination and creativity. ๐Ÿ˜Ž
  7. Hopefully, the WNBA will increase player salaries so that they don't have to play overseas in order to supplement their income. ๐Ÿ˜Ž
  8. I don't believe this forum was intended to be a writing class. I don't read our fellow forumites posts as a "whine and gripe". Everyone is entitled to their opinions. Constructive dialog can lead to ideas and solutions.๐Ÿ˜Ž
  9. Agreed. Unfortunately, it's complicated because the murder was committed in Mexico. Mexican authorities have to investigate and/or cooperate with the US in order solve this case. All things considered, I wonder how much effort and resources will be expended to bring justice. ๐Ÿ˜Ž
  10. Positions are controlled especially within a system of racism white supremacy. AfroAmericans do not operate within the system like a virus infecting and destroying it. Real power and authority are taken by force. That's not something AfroAmericans are willing to do. Not yet anyway.๐Ÿ˜Ž
  11. @Pioneer1, before Kanye made his antisemitic rants, I had mentioned that he's milking his celebrity. While Kanye was wrong as h8ll in how he went about his business, we should have reeled him in and let him dry out from his drunken stupor. White folks do not throw their own under the bus. They're always on code. Look no further than former POTUS and Vlady Putin. Those dudes are wrong as h8ll in differing ways but white folks don't really go hard in saying sh8t about them nor are they eager to shut them down. ๐Ÿ˜Ž
  12. As long as those organizations are accepting money from white folks, they will be in a weaker position to dismantle the system of racism white supremacy. Also, I didn't hear anything from those organizations when Kanye West and Kyrie Irving were being charged with antisemitism. The NAACP has been compromised for over 50 years. Back in 1963, Malcolm X articulated that it was a bad idea to let white folks be involved in AfroAmerican organizations. I would like to see organization(s) committed to unifying AfroAmericans and codifying the AfroAmerican agenda and working for reparations to name a few. ๐Ÿ˜Ž
  13. AfroAmericans did not end chattel slavery. It took a whole Civil War between white folks and a US President to end the practice. The wealth of America was built on slavery and the PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) has affected generations of AfroAmericans for centuries. Just like the US Secret Service protects the POTUS, the Fruit of Islam (FOI) has done a great job of protecting the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan. As AfroAmericans, we should be able to protect and avenge for our own. The system of racism white supremacy is a multilayered institution that has been operating for centuries now. It permeates from governments down to public and private concerns and is over-arching in every area of human activity. Dismantling the system of racism white supremacy will require the cooperation of multiple institutions on several fronts. The Jewish community (Jewish Defense League, Anti-Defamation League, B'nai B'rith) is an example of how AfroAmerican unification should look. ๐Ÿ˜Ž
  14. You're absolutely correct. Sanders didn't want to work his way up the coaching ranks under white folks at a PWI (Predominantly White Institution). Instead, it was Prime's objective to build his coaching resume by using his fame and celebrity to lure 5 star recruits to Jackson State University. He used AfroAmerican athletes to show white folks that he could recruit athletes and build a winning program. If it was not all about him, Deion Prime Sanders could have single-handedly lifted HBCU athletics and admissions. Funding would have flooded HBCUs. A modern day example of an AfroAmerican selling out the community for personal gain. That white ice always seems to be colder.๐Ÿ˜Ž
  15. I've seen movies #1 and #2. They are both excellent. I can live with that order or make the case to flip them. Nonetheless, I think sista Viola Davis deserves to be nominated for and win an Academy award for her performance in "The Woman King".๐Ÿ˜Ž
  16. True. The 1960s was the most unified AfroAmericans had ever been in our history. A moment in time. Otherwise, the lack of unity among AfroAmericans is the reason we could not: 1) end slavery 2) save Black Wall Street 100 years ago 3) keep our leaders from being assassinated Today, AfroAmericans still are not unified in such a way to protect ourselves from the system of racism white supremacy. The reason is institutionalized...divided and conquered a long time ago. Considering the technologies and resources available to AfroAmericans, there is no excuse for continued disunity among us. ๐Ÿ˜Ž
  17. It is even easier to divide and conquer a group of people when there is little or no unity among them.๐Ÿ˜Ž
  18. By design, to insure greed, corruption and violence, unstable countries are flooded with destructive sh8t (weapons, drugs, bad food, tobacco, alcohol, diseases, etc.).๐Ÿ˜Ž
  19. Testosterone or the lack thereof is the main reason men size each other up. Otherwise, men comfortable in their own manhood have no reason to size up others especially knowing they can chop down any tree. Non-constructive conversations lead to arguments and disagreements and possibly physical altercations. Intellectual discourse does not. Intelligent men will agree to disagree and move on to something else. ๐Ÿ˜Ž
  20. That's why the most powerful AfroAmerican voices are silenced in one way or another. They're either assassinated or bribed/bought to parrot a narrative and/or pander to the AfroAmerican community.๐Ÿ˜Ž
  21. It's a fun metaphor. ๐Ÿ˜ Similar to saying someone needs to have their azz beat for saying or doing dumb sh8t. ๐Ÿคฃ Most definitely, there's some flavor that never leaves the AfroAmerican community. ๐Ÿ˜Ž
  22. As I mentioned in the other thread many AfroAmericans talk louder especially when they're passionate. Otherwise, a healthy spirited intellectual debate is great. Rest assured, folks talking on that level will not come to blows.๐Ÿ˜ There's clearly a mutual respect in that room or Dr. Umar Johnson would continue receiving invitations and/or showing up. Charlemagne still deserves lashes for 1) being a fan of the Dallas Cowbums ๐Ÿคฃ and 2) trying to protect AfroAmerican celebrities from their responsibility to their community. To whom much is given, more is required. Gotta pay it forward in order for more boats to rise.๐Ÿ˜Ž
  23. @Pioneer1, many AfroAmericans talk louder especially when they're passionate.๐Ÿ˜ It takes a certain amount of discipline not to raise one's voice when trying to get a point across especially to seemingly deaf ears.๐Ÿ˜Ž
  24. Agreed. I've mentioned before that we need an AfroAmerican security force ro protect our poeple and interests to include maintaining discipline among our own too. The Million Man March is the concept but it doesn't literally require that many strong Black men to form a counsel to oversee codification and enforcement of an AfroAmerican agenda and unification.๐Ÿ˜Ž
  25. Yep. Brotha Malcolm X was raised as a Christian and Islam changed his life. But, brotha Malcolm X 1) realized the limits of religion and 2) never told AfroAmericans to be passive and/or that a sky fairy would deliver our salvation from racism white supremacy. He rejected the non-violent movement too. Brotha Malcolm's stance changed a little bit after his return from Mecca but he never really got a chance to cook outside the NOI. Had brotha Malcolm X not been assassinated, I believe AfroAmericans would be in a much better net position both in terms of self-awareness and unity.๐Ÿ˜Ž
