  1. I'll check. I believe the last issue I received was a commemorative edition for the founder Earl G. Graves. ๐Ÿ˜Ž
  2. @Cynique, it's all good. One day I'll stop sermonizing here. ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜Ž
  3. Financial success is relative because it's necessary for survival. IMO, if Ebony magazine can restore the sense of pride in black beauty and excellence as it once did, that would be a another form of success. I'd love to see black women get away from hair weaves, fake eyelashes and other Eurocentric versions of beauty. Black folks all over the planet are naturally beautiful, intelligent, creative and talented. It needs to be highlighted through every medium. ๐Ÿ˜Ž
  4. Money is like a narcotic and prostitutes, er, some people will do anything to get it.๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜Ž
  5. @richardmurray, as you have requested/presented, IMO, history shows the black community has given education more power than it deserves. Education along with religion seems to be the only weapons and mainly as a panacea, black folks have been willing to use in order to cope with the system of white supremacy. You're correct in pointing out the fact that in order to take whatever they want and maintain power, white folks have always been willing to shed as much blood as necessary to include having folks kill among themselves. They are the devil personified. ๐Ÿ˜Ž
  6. Georgia DA says she's not afraid to continue building her case. She's going to follow the evidence wherever it leads and subpoena whoever needs to be called. Nobody is exempt. ๐Ÿ˜Ž
  7. Hamlet said the same thing to Polonius.๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜Ž
  8. Whether life is a mystery or a question, UGK said, "one day you're here...and then you're gone". I say live your life to the fullest because the end is always near. The leading cause of death among human beings is birthdays. The next one might be the last... ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜Ž
  9. Black folks do not own the infrastructure (cable providers, satellities, etc.) on which their content is aired. That plays a huge part in how they present the news. ๐Ÿ˜Ž
  10. IMO, CRT is an intellectual exercise. What's really needed is a codification of the AfroAmerican holocaust that an average reader can comprehend. When Americans truly know the history of slavery, how it benefitted the wealth of a nation and still has lingering effects to this day, it should make a whole lot of folks very uncomfortable. Then, maybe we stand a better chance of redressing that peculiar institution. We don't need to allow them to continue peddling the sanitized version of Black History in February, the shortest month of the year. It's the equivalent of putting up a Christmas tree in December. The Jews do not intellectualize the holocaust. Nor do they allow it be used as a political football. They make sure everybody on the planet is aware of the genocide that was committed against them. They have organziations in place to make sure nobody crosses the line in respecting it. I admire the Jews in that regard. ๐Ÿ˜Ž
  11. Same here. I think it's unfortunate that some AfroAmericans think we are so far removed from that peculiar institution that it's not worth remembering and/or fighting to redress. America uses the holocaust and any other human atrocity or issue to ignore her greatest sin. ๐Ÿ˜Ž
  12. It would be nice to see Ebony back in print. Putting J. Hud on the cover is a great look. That young lady can sang and she's a beautiful sista. ๐Ÿ˜Ž
  13. @Stefan, the forum isn't all negative. I still see thoughtful posts. ๐Ÿ˜Ž
  14. As I mentioned in another thread, it's not about me. I'm not selfish. A system of white supremacy is wrong against all of humanity. ๐Ÿ˜Ž
  15. I know your comment was in response to @Delano but for me, as someone who is politically neutral, I do not see white supremacy as an argument. I believe the system of white supremacy is very real and it's the most destructive force against humanity on the planet. ๐Ÿ˜Ž
  16. Yep. On the other side of 50 years old, there's a lot to leave to younger folks. Had fun skating several decades ago. I'm fine behind the wheel of my truck now.๐Ÿ˜ I'm glad that skating academy exists. Whatever it takes for folks to get exercise and burn energy in a positive way is a great thing.๐Ÿ˜Ž
  17. @Pioneer1, glad you decided to check in my brotha. Also, great news that you're back on the grind and figuring out your next moves. There's A LOT for you to read and catch up on around here. Plenty discussions that could benefit from your opinion/perspective. ๐Ÿ˜ Hope time allows you to jump back in that chair and let it fly sooner than later. In the words of NF jr...still learning.๐Ÿ˜Ž
  18. I take it we're waiting for a few more guesses before you reveal the real number. If I win, I'd prefer the jar to be filled with peanut M&Ms.๐Ÿ˜ ๐Ÿ˜Ž
  19. I'm guessing it's a number north of 3.9 septendecillion. ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜Ž
  20. Agreed. That's why I preach ownership. Despite the fact that I'm a huge NFL football fan, I would love to see the 70% black labor force either boycott until: 1) a black ownership group is allowed to buy a team 2) or leave and start their own football league and build the infrastructure to support it. That would create 10s of thousand of jobs for black folks all across America. That black labor force generates billions of dollars in revenue for the NFL. They get a salary. Only a few players actually make 10s of million dollars. But, the reality is that black folks are taught to get an education in order to get a good job i.e. go to work for someone else. That's totally different from learning how to build and grow a business i.e.. entrepreneurship. Obviously, not everyone will be qualified to build or boss up (lead) but if they have the mentality, even as a cog in the wheel (worker) they're empowered to own (responsibility & accountability) what they do. instead of begging white folks for equal opportunity, black folks should be using their talent, knowledge, skills and abilities to create it.๐Ÿ˜Ž
  21. It's beyond time to do away with no knock warrants: https://www.npr.org/2022/02/04/1078313707/amir-locke-killed-minneapolis-police-no-knock-warrant Another black person who was not the intended target of the search warrant is killed by police. There's enough technology available to law enforcement that makes it easier to catch suspects without breaking and entering residences. I'm a proponent of old fashioned police work. Stake out eating donuts or hide in bushes until the suspect comes strolling down the street. ๐Ÿ˜Ž
  22. For coloring outside the lines, former VP Mike Pence, Sen. Mitt Romney and Reps Liz Cheney and Adam Kinzinger are going to find themselves seated at the kid's table at future GOP big tent events. ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜Ž
  23. More security is being provided to the Georgia District Attorney (DA) after she received racist slurs and threats over the phone and on social media. In this country, there's no shortage of crazy folks with guns. They don't need much to get sitrred up.๐Ÿ˜Ž
  24. I believe a reset of humanity would replace white supremacy with a system of balance among all people. ๐Ÿ˜Ž
  25. A global cataclysmic event that forces humanity to reset. ๐Ÿ˜Ž
