  1. @Stefan, politics and religion are polarizing subjects most likely to result in an argument or disagreement or worse. Whatever a person chooses to think and/or believe, they will find information or data to support and/or make up something to defend their position. Trying to convince people to think differently especially when they are firmly entrenched is a losing proposition in a zero sum game. There are no winners in a political debate just like nobody is going to heaven or h8ll. ๐Ÿ˜ I learned a very long time ago to let folks think and believe whatever works for them. My bandwidth is better spent speaking out against the system of white supremacy. ๐Ÿ˜Ž
  2. In that case, smell is actually the missing sense. I'll take Clairolfactory for $200. ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜Ž
  3. Brotha @Delano, it appears the sense of touch is missing. I offer up the French sounding Clairtouciant.๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜Ž
  4. Muslims are not trying to punish folks who do not share their religious beliefs. Jihadists are actually fighting against imperialism aka white supremacy. ๐Ÿ˜Ž
  5. Facts. Investing in tools (labor, land, natural resources) instead of buying toys will lead to greater prosperity and independence. Unfortunately, the system has been set up for people to anesthetize themselves through consumerism and consumption which usually leads to being incarcerated by debt. A harder habit to kick than drugs and alcohol combined. ๐Ÿ˜Ž
  6. There is no good reason for religious persecution of any kind. Folks being mistreated, attacked or killed based on their beliefs is one of the darkest sides of humanity. ๐Ÿ˜Ž
  7. I want to see the end of hate, greed and suffering, dismantling of white supremacy and the rise of peace, joy and prosperity for all human beings. I know it's a tall order. ๐Ÿ˜Ž
  8. Admittedly, I'm an old man but I don't see why this is newsworthy nor how it benefits black people. I get it that famous people do whatever it takes to maximize their 15 minutes in the spotlight. However, this type of information doesn't help us with dismantlng the system of white supremacy. ๐Ÿ˜Ž
  9. Senator Ted Cruz says POTUS promise to put a Black woman on the SCOTUS is โ€œoffensiveโ€ and an โ€œinsult to Black womenโ€. Sen. Cruz also claims that since black women only make up 6% of the American population, it tells 94% that they won't even get a shot at the seat. Nevermind the fact that a very small percentage of folks regardless of color are even qualified. Then, Sen. Cruz totally ignores the fact that a majority of the 108 Justices have been white dudes. It's hard to deny that racism exists when the gross protection of white supremacy is always on display. ๐Ÿ˜Ž
  10. I cannot recall a former POTUS getting so much attention. The media and white supremacy keep him relevant. ๐Ÿ˜Ž
  11. Let's hope that humanity prevails and the moratorium gets reinstated especially for women, children and the elderly. There's no reason for them to be out on the street. ๐Ÿ˜Ž
  12. @Mzuri, the black women being considered for SCOTUS are extremely qualified in terms of education and experience. ๐Ÿ˜Ž
  13. Justice Sonya Sotomayor is the 3rd woman appointed to the SCOTUS, 1st woman of color, 1st Hispanic, and 1st Latina member. So, there's an obvious lack of representation when out of nine Justices, there's no black woman. If other ethnicities feel they should be represented on the SCOTUS, instead of any hate and resentment towards black folks, they need to make their case with the gatekeepers. Regardless, there are no shortcuts when it comes to producing qualifications for being appointed to the SCOTUS. One must be highly qualified to be considered. IMO, the planet we live on will never be colorblind. It doesn't do black folks any good to hope for it especially in America, a country we built. If it's any consolation, Justice Amy Comey Barrett is the 1st white female with black children on the SCOTUS. ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜Ž
  14. Well, it looks like they have convinced Justice Stephen Breyer to retire before he pulls a RBG on the bench.๐Ÿ˜ The POTUS has already said that his SCOTUS nominee will be a black female. Another historic milestone for our people here in America. https://www.cnn.com/2022/01/26/politics/shortlist-breyer-replacement-supreme-court/index.html The link above shows the leading candidates for the nomination. Of course, I will be thrilled if/when one of our sistas is confirmed to the bench. Let's get it. ๐Ÿ˜Ž
  15. @Cynique, I certainly respect your perspective because you have heard some version of this record for many decades. SInce I'm not religious, I choose to put my faith in the belief that one day black folks will become unified. If faith without works is dead, hopefully, encouraging black unity ticks the box of keeping that faith alive. It may not happen in my lifetime but I'm eternally optimistic. One day, I may resign myself to playing my keyboards and stop preaching for black unity and against white supremacy. I just haven't gotten there yet.๐Ÿ˜ ๐Ÿ˜Ž
  16. Collectively, the black race has trillons of dollars. Unfortunately, it's tied up in probate. ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜Ž
  17. IMO, black folks would produce and control their own wealth instead of trading mental and physical labor; gross consumerism and contributing to the wealth of others. ๐Ÿ˜Ž
  18. I've seen that movie and it was very well done. ๐Ÿ˜Ž
  19. IMO, the assassinations of the 1960s neutered black leadership. They literally killed our progress towards unity. Any potential leadership is quickly bought off and/or replaced with crash test dummies.๐Ÿ˜Ž
  20. Oprah's wealth would be growing exponentially if it was enriching millions of lives. She was paid a king's ransom to entertain white women for 30 years. Otherwise, I encourage everyone to chase, embrace and experience their freedom. Do not let a piece of mail or a phone call from a bill collector steal their joy either.๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜Ž
  21. The Wu-Tang Clan said it best..."cash rules everything around me..." I'm just as guilty of stopping at the gas pump, looking at the ridiculous price and filling up my truck. Same goes for the prices I see in the grocery store. I just shake my head and spend the money. A few months ago, when there was a cyber attack on the computer system controlling the east coast gas pipeline, the media told us the disruption would lead to a price increase at the pump and fuel shortages. Nevermind that before computers existed, we knew how to get gas from one place to another just fine. On cue, panic buying made it happen. When the pandemic started, there was a run on food, toilet paper, bottled water, Lysol, bleach, cleaning supplies, masks, etc. I've never known Americans to be so hungry or sh8tty or clean in my half century on the planet. Panic buying. Now, we have supply shortages and empty shelves and price gouging. Rinse and repeat. So, I wouldn't be surprised if they used a Ukrainian invasion to jack up prices on natural gas and everything else. They aren't doing it out of necessity. It's only because they can get away with it.๐Ÿ˜Ž
  22. @Mzuri, in our litigious country, we cannot run around hurting people's feeling.๐Ÿคฃ @Stefan, when folks put themselves out there, they become a target for crooks, comedians and haters alike.๐Ÿ˜ As a natural born comedian, I can see and/or find humor in a lot of things that others may not find funny at all. I don't take life too seriously. I believe laughter is great for the soul. That being said, I don't believe humor should be mean spirited. So, I would not call Cardi B a prostitute but she d8mn sure dresses liike one and then, there's the lyrics in her songs.๐Ÿ˜ Madonna used more than her looks and voice to sell. Back in the late 80s through 90s, she was considered a bad girl. LIghtweight by today's standards. Now, the Kartrashians are a family full of ho's. Their mother is a madam. On TV and in the press, these women have no shortage of AfroAmerican athletes, rappers and celebrities playing around in their background. Their father, Robert Kardashian has to be fully cooked by now for as many times as he's had to turn over in his grave. Nonetheless, the sins of greed, jealousy, envy and hate will consume those of lower self-esteem as they continue to dine on junk food. ๐Ÿ˜Ž
  23. @Stefan, your concern is valid as it relates to the market stability and natural gas production. IMO, it would be disingenuous to use fallout from a Ukrainian invasion as an excuse to jack up heating and fuel prices domestically or internationally. The world has enough natural gas in reserve to maintain current levels for several years. In fact, I believe we've been overpaying for several decades. Unfortunately, the middle class and poor have been satiated with just enough material consumption to keep them from protesting rising prices, food shortages and anything else that would make life better. As a result, the global elite get to sit around playing games with real lives. Always watch their hands and follow the money. ๐Ÿ˜Ž
  24. That is the ugly side of fame and celebrity and the tabloid industry built upon it. Even worse is that people actually consume it. Then again, it's junk food for the brain. I saw the potential for tabloid media and it's modern form (social media) to spiral out of control way back in the 1980s when the paparazzi were hiding in trees and bushes to take pictures of the newly crowned King of Pop Michael Jackson. Of course, they also wrote bizarre stories about him too. We know what they did to Princess Diana. It doesn't appear that journalistic integrity is a high ranking factor in the tabloid world. In the age of social media, fact checking seems to be going the way of the doo doo bird too. I hate when people tell me something and the 1st question I have to ask is...cite the source. if they form the letter F (book) or Twit or Gram, I don't want to hear it. That isn't news. It's gossip. OTOH, celebrities do walk a thin line when it comes to using the media to sell their image and brand. That camera or mic could go either way in being an asset or liability. Watch your steps. But, I'm glad Cardi B won her lawsuit. Nobody deserves to be slandered. I do hope she uses the money to buy some classier clothes and maybe even take a Toastmasters class. ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜Ž
  25. Right now, every non-white individual and the entire population of non-white people (group) are pawns in the system of white supremacy. Only if/when non-white people organize collectively to dismantle the system of white supremacy will they have exercised their real power. Oprah is classified as a billionaire. Yet, her perceived "wealth" isn't enriching the lives of millions of black folks. Powerless. OTOH, Jeff Bezos is considered the richest man in the world. His company employs 1.4 million people. The proof is everywhere. Powerful. The collective wealth of non-white people could bankrupt the planet. That's why white supremacists have a ton of guns, strong militaries and nuclear weapons. If non-white people wake up one day deciding they've had enough of the system of white supremacy, rest assured that all h8ll would break loose.๐Ÿ˜Ž
