Life's little ironies
i hear ya, Pioneer, but back in the '50s, '60s, and '70s, newspapers were all we had. The Internet didn't exist. I never worked for The Defender but the white Chicago newspaper I wrote a column for, always printed my articles because I was their token black reporter. The more controversial my columns were, the better they liked it because, as we all know, the media loves controversy. and the response to my columns was piles of hate-mail.

TROY - READ, AIDS -EBOLA,MAN ,MADE.../
Me either, Troy. but I would still like to know the source of sara's wild claims and vague figures. .Everybody knows about the Tuskegee experiments, but I was raising kids during the 50s and am curious about the details of polo vaccines being given children without their parents' knowledge. Also thousands of people in the counter-culture experimented with LSD during the 60s and had no ill after effects. The big deal back then was thalidomide, a drug for morning sickness that resulted in thousands of babies in Europe being born with deformed limbs or flippers. Since it was an experimental drug, the FDA didn't allow it in this country, for which pregnant women like me who had morning sickness were eternally grateful.

What is your source for those vague numbers you are throwing out there? Do you speak from experience?

WOMAN SMUGGLING COCAINE
In addition to being a flight attendant, she was a former Jamaican beauty queen serving as a "mule" and unlikely working alone on her own.

THIS OR THAT?
You finally worked up the courage to post a picture of yourself. Got that tongue workin, - as usual.

LOL you just can't deal with your words being used against you. I can't help it if you keep describing you and your family.

46th Day of #BlackHistoryMonth: Alice Walker, 1st married inter-racial couple in Mississippi
ZZZZZZZ What we know about you, sara, is that, from the very beginning, old people have been your target, and it's obvious that this is because you have a negative history with snuff-dipping, wig-wearing, humpback, perverted old relatives. This is what you associate with old people and has had a lasting impact on you and influenced your being a homosexual, a term which you shun. You want to be called something else that has a more positive image because you are ashamed of what you are. You look down on others for no good reason, never having the integrity to appreciate the many people is this world who are nothing like the paragon that you imagine yourself to be, yet they have lived meaningful rewarding lives without all the mundane status symbols that you attach so much significance to. I'd rather spend an hour in the presence of a sincere, well-read, down-to-earth person like harry brown, than a minute anywhere near you and your phony obnoxious self. You are a priggish educated fool who has no depth. You are enamoured with Africa but when I refer to you as a monkey, you go ape-shit. LMAO But, wait. There's more. Your persona is erratic and infantile and your lying pathological. Your are a duplicitous, mentally-disturbed, mean drunk. You have a crush on Serena Williams and in your skewed mind, my casual mention of her name is perceived as indication that I envy her. You say I am anti-semitic, and I have never said one bad thing about Jewish people. More reasons why you are certifiably crazy. And you apparently lead a dull unfulfilling existence because you look to this board to provide you with something to do. All the things you say about my tame existence as an 82 year old, apply to you because, in the prime of your life, you have no life. Poor ol sara. tsk-tsk-tsk.

VOICE FROM THE PAST
In another forum Troy wrote: "Of the named discussion forums Cynique is the only one who still actively participates. I named the forum for Cynique to honor her contributions. It was not something that she asked me to do. This will be the name of the forum as long as I'm running this site. The Poetree was named for Sister Sheree Sarana, because she volunteered to moderate the forum. Unfortunately she did not hang around very long. I'm open to renaming it for another moderator, but I haven't mentioned this to anyone. When I'm finished the upgrade I'll invest more in actively promoting all the forums. The Literature forum is named for a prolific poster whose pseudonym was "Thumper." He was such a big participant that he essentially became the brand of the forum, so I named it for him. But Thumper left abruptly. I just checked when he made has last post; it was made in January of 2011 when he wrote "I'm back." I doubt I'll rename this forum, but if someone actually volunteered to actively run it I would do it, albeit with a heavy heart. " Guess what I came across while scrolling down FaceBook lane yesterday? A posted review of "Dawn of Justice", the Superman vs Bat Man movie that just came out! And who was the review written by? None other than Thumper! The critique was his usual fare and he was in rare form, sounding like his old self. Although he thought the movie was too long, he gave it an over-all favorable rating. In general, reviews of this movie have been mixed. I'm interested in seeing how it will do at the box office.

Those are YOUR favorite subjects, sara. And why not? You answer to all of those names and more because you have multiple personality order in addition to being an alcoholic. Lucky for you, apes don't have to worry about their hair like the millions of humans who wear extensions and weaves and wigs and braids. (I knew you'd be back. Because I control your mind.) LOL

Sambos Double Shuffle: A Nigger Dance
No doubt about it, they're internet terrorists. Back in the 70s, when I used to write my black experience column, the newspaper would forward to me all the unopened mail I received and was addressed to the paper. I received scads of hate mail like this. Same thing, different media. Bigots like this are an ongoing threat and Trump is undoubtedly their hero. I'm kinda case-hardened but I do sympathize with you, even as I dread what lies ahead for this polarized racist country.

THIS OR THAT?
LMAO Break out the violins. You ain't shit. Who attacks others and uses any more foul language than YOU? If you can't stand the heat, get out the kitchen. You insult people's intelligence. Nobody on this board feels threatened or intimidated by me but YOU. Unlike you, they're all secure enough to take me in their stride and not feel resentful if I inject comments on a thread where you're holding forth and pontificating, and they don't try to monitor Troy's domain. You take yourself too seriously and have obviously insulated yourself from those who are not impressed with your superficiality and false values. You are a lying, devious, presumptuous, shallow, one-dimensional wanna-be who hides behind your anonymity because - you are nobody! Your mission to save this board from me is ludicrous. Super sara . Up, up, and away. Thud. ROTFLOL

Unlike you Troy has better things to do and knows that when it comes to you, i don't need any help. Your denseness never ceases to amaze me. Anybody could be in control of you because you're enslaved to your self-delusions. You're so vain all you do is talk about you and your family. LMAO.

THANKS, DELANO!
What are you babbling about? You never make sense. Go stand in the corner like the dunce that you are. LOL

54th Day of #BlackHistoryMonth: Ida B. Wells passed March 25, 1931
Chicagoans can really relate to the great Ida B. Wells because a large low-rent housing complex was named after her. Back when "the projects" weren't havens for drugs and crime and sordidness, many of today's older black members of Chicago's affluent middleclass grew up there and went on to become successful professionals, Also, 2 of her grandsons were at Illinois during the time I was there. These homes were eventually demolished.

THANKS, DELANO!
My friend, and seer Delano from waaaay across the ocean posted a 2 work message in regard to a long rebuttal I had posted to untruths directed at personal recollection essays I have posted in the past. So I deleted the rebuttal. Wise psychic that he is, Delano said what I needed to hear: "Why justify?" And he's right. Why waste time on feeding the troll. Just sit back and let her starve. And I am psychic enough to know how sara will respond to his... same ol same ol.

You're so pitiful. it's a shame somebody who has such an elevated opinion of herself is so hasrd up for attention she has to come to this board for attention. Wassa matter. Your girlfriend leave you for a younger, prettier, better-smelling homosexual?

Man, the smell is getting worse. SARA reeks with the odor of a wet ape. No surprise.
