  1. In order for us to capitalize 😏 Oops! ....gain from the knowledge we collect, we must first determine what IS knowledge vs what is mere words and documentation. Key to recognizing what is knowledge is knowing the difference between EVIDENCE and PROOF. Evidence is just facts/data that support an assertion. Proof...on the other hand...is evidence that not only support it but eliminates all legitimate/reasonable doubt of it being true. For example...... One could assert that violent crime is higher in St. Louis than it is in Cincinnati. Siting statistics found online and in law enforcement and crime data books is EVIDENCE of this, but it's not PROOF of this because the stats and documentation could be forged and fabricated. However GOING to both St. Louis and Cincinnati on a fact-finding mission and traveling around for an extensive period of time engaging in activities like riding around with cops as well as kicking it with gangs and street people for an eye witness account will give you PROOF of which one has the highest violent crime rate! Also, while TRUTH is objective......PROOF more subjective. Proof for one person may not be proof for another, based on experience, education on the subject, skepticism, etc.....
  2. If it's not accepted for legitimate/logical reasons.....then no, for that person it's not proof. Proof is verification or confirmation beyond any reasonable doubt or argument. Not simply evidence in support of it. As I type to you, I'm reading an article about a mass shooting in California where atleast 10 people have been killed. Is the article "proof" of that? No. It's just documentation. A bunch of words I'm reading on a screen. To PROVE this is true I'd have to go to California myself and see the casualties....that way all reasonable argument will be erased.
  3. ProfD You're right. Most Betas are better suited for monogamy....especially where marriage is concerned. As I said earlier, I contend that MOST men are Beta. Infact, it could be argued that over 90% of all men fluctuate between Beta and Gamma depending on their mood and the situation. Very few are actually Alpha, although that word is bounced around all over the place now a days. Simply being a normal man doesn't make you Alpha. Alpha's are exceptionally aggressive, high performing, and egoistical. Problem is..... Because that word "alpha" is being tossed around so much and so many men are TRYING to identify with it, Beta has become almost a bad word or insult in some circles. I think that's another factor in a lot of the violence you see happening across the nation. Too many men are being raised to believe THEY are the top dog and should never back down....even when they clearly should. Everybody can't be Alpha. Most men can't be Alpha or top dog....nature didn't intend for it to be that way. If most men would realize and accept this, I think there would be more peace and harmony on the planet.
  4. Troy When contradictory proof is presented the story based upon the anecdote needs to be revised or discarded. The key word is PROOF. I think you often conflate "documentation" with "proof"...and they aren't necessarily the same. Just because you have a bunch of stats and words documented in a book or on a website, doesn't mean they are even facts let alone "proof" of something. But you'd rather believe THAT than someone who tells you they saw it for themselves or have been through it. Either side could be lying. The person giving you the anecdote could be fabricating and embellishing....but so could whoever presented the stats and documentation you trust. Neither qualifies as "proof" in my opinion. Besides, proof is SUBJECTIVE. What may be proof to ME may not be proof to YOU simply because of your lack of experience or observation of the subject.
  5. Stefan The proof is in the very NAME of the people of Eastern Europe. They are called "Slavs" or "Slavic" people for the very reason that so many of captives were taken from that region that their ethnic name became synonymous with what we call slavery today. This article gives a brief but decent outline of the slavery that existed in Eastern Europe: Slavery - Ways of ending slavery | Britannica "Slavery was a familiar institution to many sixteenth-century Europeans. Although slavery had gradually died out in northwestern Europe, it continued to flourish around the Mediterranean Sea. Ongoing warfare between Christianity and Islam produced thousands of slave laborers, who were put to work in heavy agriculture in Italy, southern France, eastern Spain, Sicily, and eastern Europe near the Black Sea. Most slaves in this area were "white"--either Arabs or natives of Russia and eastern Europe. But by the mid-fifteenth century, the expansion of the Ottoman Empire cut off the supply of white slaves. It was during the mid-fifteenth century that Portugal established trading relations along the West African coast, and discovered that it was able to purchase huge numbers of black slaves at a low cost." Digital History (uh.edu) By the way, just how many Blacks have left California at your urging? I know you don't want to answer the question. Here we go....lol. . Zzzzzzzooooooommmmmmmmm.............
  6. Stefan Man are you SERIOUS with these strawman based questions? You have a terrible habit of taking people's clearly stated assertions and positions and projecting them THROUGH your twisted mind-projector into the most extreme. Dude, just answer my questions. You've already proven you're a dullard when it comes to current affairs. Now, how many Blacks have left California because YOU demanded they do so? I'll answer that silly question AFTER you tell me how many Black folks have joined the Democrat party after YOU'VE demanded they do so unconditionally. How many Haitians have dropped their beliefs in Christianity to adopt worship of African spirits? I told you, enough to win the Haitian revolution of 1791. You don't think Blacks should run for elective office? They say there are no stupid questions; but I beg to differ....lol. Why would you even ASK me a stupid question like that? I almost forgot, it's that distorted "projector" of yours.
  7. Stefan This must come as a surprise to all the closet Republicans in these Discussion groups. Lol...I see that projector of yours is acting up again. Now where are all of these "closet Republicans" that you speak of? Nearly all of the Republicans that I know of on this site (Nels and Coggins/Daniellegfny immediately come to mind)are ADMITTEDLY Republican and don't hide that fact. Rod DeSantis isn't a dictator, he operates as executive of an entire state government made up of people of all races. There are plenty of Black people down in Florida in positions of power to either challenge his position on this matter or IGNORE it and promote Black studies in their own school districts if they so choose. And he wouldn't be able to stop them one bit. DeSantis....like Trump....is being used as Boogieman. A DISTRACTION. Someone to get all of your attention for his outrageously racist and bigoted speech while the REAL right-wing threats can move in silence undetected.
  8. I haven't and have no plans to. It's not necessarily the story that I find offensive.....because as far as I'm concerned Harry and Markle are two WHITE PEOPLE (Markle is a White woman as far as I'm concerned) who are in love with eachother. Not much interest there. The offense comes in when I considered how many Black women TRY to relate to Markle and call her a "sista" and how her story inspires some and encourages others to sit around hoping and dreaming for some red-headed White prince to come down and snatch them away. It encourages more White man worship....and that's the danger.
  9. Troy I'm not in the "Florida is racist or not" argument. I think Midwestern states like Nebraska and Missouri are more racist than ANY Southern state, but.... I'm referring to you using anecdotes to support your position after clowning on me for doing it for so many years, lol. I hope you now see how hard it is for a person to "stop believing" something they actually experienced themselves simply because "the data" dug up on some website doesn't agree with it....lol.
  10. ProfD Recently, NF Jr. said that if the smartest people got together, they could solve the racism problem in less than one year. Problem is...... Most of the smartest White people don't even SEE Slavery as a problem. They see it as a fine institution that may have had a few "kinks" to work out here and there, but the amount of wealth it generated was more than worth it in their minds.
  11. I'm gonna hold on to this line for future references....lol
  12. Slavery + Colonialism were the backbone of early Capitalism Serfdom + Mass Incarceration is the backbone of modern Capitalism Serfdom, meaning poor and destitute workers who are so desperate for money that they'll do any job under any conditions for almost any pay. The involuntarity (Lol...is that a word??) of slavery presented too many moral problems for the masses to accept it as part of a more "cultured" and "civilized" society so they had to replace slavery itself with more mild and "humane" institutions that produce massive amounts of goods through exploitation but the workers appear to have a "choice" whether to participate or not.
  13. I wonder which "Black Mafia" the show is about? You have one that came out of Philadelphia in the 70s and another that came out of Detroit in the 80s....that I know of. There may be more.
  14. Yeah.....lol....I followed the entire fall out. It was frustrating and sad when it happened. Now, looking back....it's just funny. Although I support both bruthaz for the good they do- Both of them are getting their hustle on if you ask me, lol. It was just a matter of game recognizing game.
  15. ProfD People who are busy living don't have time to sit around thinking about stuff that doesn't enrich them and/or add to their happiness The same can also be said about people who are too busy getting high and playing petty psychological games to "get over" on their peers. They are so busy with the day to day hustle and grind from living in an oppressive environment, they don't have time (or in many cases even the desire) to think about who's actually ORCHESTRATING the oppression they are experiencing. They can't see past the tips of their noses. But that denial still won't protect them from falling into manholes...lol. As for me.....like the brother from Goodie Mob said: "My mind won't allow me to not be curious.... My folks don't understand so they don't take it serious...."
  16. ProfD Here's what I'll say...... When it comes to polygamy.....it's best for the husband to be an ALPHA male...although it's certainly not necessary. You can and often do have Beta males (which....contrary to popular opinion....actually are the majority of males) in polygamous relationships but they aren't the ideal. An Alpha male is ideal because he'd have the aggression, the energy, the drive not only to keep his multiple wives in check but also that same energy would be used to generate a decent income to support his family. However the situation is so dire in the AfroAmerican community right now, a Beta male who is straight and has a little money may be a good alternative if there aren't enough Alphas to go around. Remember also, that this society often locks up some of it's Alpha Black men for getting out there and "doing what has to be done". So some compromises have to be made to COMPENSATE (compensatory). Brother might have to cuff up an Alpha FEMALE for his first wife to keep the other wives in check....lol
  17. Troy He thinks a GREAT deal about himself and doesn't seem to mind expressing it. Routinely gives himself titles like "King" and "Prince"....lol. But those comments were only a FRACTION of the ones I've heard from him that makes me think he may be Narcissistic. I've seen him speak in real life on several occasions. ProfD Maybe that explains why brothas Umar Johnson and Tariq Nasheed are socially distanced too." Do you mean distant from eachother? Or both are distant from people in general?
  18. ProfD I actually agree. I think he has some sort of personality disorder....perhaps a bit of Narcissism. I don't think he's Autstic or Schizophrenic by any stretch. His social skills are too sharp for Autism and his intellect is too orderly and logical for Schizophrenia. Bipolar? Possible.....he certainly has a lot of energy though I haven't seen him depressed and slow in the over a decade I've been keeping up with him. Remember I did a thread a few weeks (months?) ago questioning whether a professional should be as argumentative and combative as Dr. Umar was with Charlamagne? Getting loud and throwing his hands all over the place. Someone of his size and masculinity should know better than that....unless he gets so heated he can't help it. Which may help explain why he's not married. As far as financial insecurity....... It may be a hinderance for HIM, but I know too many women out there who would LOVE to have him or a brother as intelligent and articulate as him with NO money....lol. Real talk. Brutha got a mouth-piece on him and a lot of women love that. THEY'LL supply the money in exchange for the emotional support and entertainment.
  19. ProfD It seems to be getting worse and worse. The problem with the violence that is going on in so many urban neighborhoods is that it's CONTROLED CHAOS. In other words.... Under normal circumstances, the violence would become so extreme and widespread that like a fire...it would eventually burn itself out after enough people kill eachother. But because it's being CONTROLED....that culmination or coming to a head isn't being allowed to happen. Racists in law enforcement will swoop in and scoop up enough killers and gangsters and get them off the street...to allow a fresh batch to move in/grow up....and continue the torture. ...so it drags on. This is why I say the ultimate human solution is going to be for righteous Black men to eventually step up and step in to these warzone and establish peace and protection because White folks aren't gonna do it and most of the gangastaz aren't gonna do it either.
  20. My question is why are so many 9/11 Conspiracy theorists White.....why aren't BLACK folks just as skeptical? Besides the Nation of Islam and a few other grass roots organizations, how many Black folks are asking questions about ANYTHING that happens in this world now a days.
  21. Troy Lol....what's the other reason? Do you think he may be in the closet.....or maybe have a sexual dysfunction? I'm not married...have no real desire to be at this point...and I've been a political and social activist since my 30s and I'm in my 50s and ain't a gay bone in my body, lol. You didn't say it or even insinuate it, but I'm just saying in THIS day and age, it seems to me if a brutha was Gay or Bi, he wouldn't be ashamed to admit it because there's so much support for him. As far as Dr. Umar goes....he has a huge ego so I'm thinking he may not be able to COMPROMISE enough with most women for a happy marriage....lol. Very argumentative. But that doesn't mean the points he's making are wrong.
  22. Once again, your boy is hitting HARD on the facts: Hey, love him or hate him you HAVE to admit the brutha his right and exact about how a lot of our sisters are practicing polygamy ANYWAY even if so many are CLAIMING to be against it. He also makes a good point about how for too long much of the conversation about polygamy is being dominated by educated financially secure women who don't need a man PERIOD...let alone having to share one. But THEY aren't the majority. The majority of sistaz out there are struggling, have children to feed, and are working long hard hours on jobs they don't necessarily like and would be GLAD to share a GOOD MAN (not some sorry ass bum) with another woman and maybe several other women. Who's speaking for them? LIke the Doc said, don't give me that shit about how it's disrespectful and "sistaz will never go for it" when so many of our sistaz are sharing men ANYWAY by sleeping with men who are already married or already have girlfriends and they KNOW it and STILL want the brutha and beg for his time, his sex, and his love. They ARE going for it! Hell, many of them are ASKING for it! Our community needs to GROW UP and stop being so hypocritical and morally dissonant.
  23. ProfD I think he actually makes a pretty good POINT about the conversation on polygamy being dominated by educated financially secure women. Infact, I'll do a thread on it with that clip.
  24. Troy Come on man, is THIS the body of a "prepubescent boy"??? For what it's worth, Dr. Umar Johnson also recommends the movie.......
  25. Are you surprised? They're mere Products of a Public FOOL System designed to produce an ignorant ill-informed population that is easier to manipulate. You can blame your beloved Republicans for this, since they are the main culprits responsible for gutting the public education and eroding America's academic status. My favorite interviewee was THIS one: For obvious reasons.....lol. Along with the fact that she was BOLD with her ignorance. She was so confident that she'd be 11 years old and kept insisting on it....lol.
