ProfD You're right. That's why it's important for former students and other Black institutions need to support HBCUs themselves instead of expecting ONLY the federal government or McDonalds to do all of the heavy lifting to keep these institutions going. This is one of the reasons I have so much respect for Bill and Camille Cosby despite his personally sins. They gave so many MILLIONS of dollars to various Black colleges. He did what most Black people with money should be doing. Whoever pays the Piper calls the tunes. If we don't want half of the young men in Morehouse or Howard walking around in high-heels and miniskirts...we better make sure WE are the primary benefactors of these institutions and not White financiers.

Maybe China knows something we don't....lol. I'm not very educated on the issue, I admit that. I know next to nothing about it. However I take issue with Black people building too much of their wealth and economy around anything web based, because all it takes is a massive power failure or a major solar flare to wipe out a large portion of your economy. We need brick-n-mortar businesses with paved streets and sky scrapers. Stocks and trades are for people who have already BUILT a solid society and infrastructure and now have time to move on to the more "finer" things. If you can't fill the potholes in your street, fix a damn toilet, or get the plumbing to work in your community your focus shouldn't be on investing in Bitcoin.

ProfD It's also a matter of MUTUAL respect too. Something a lot of people in general don't have or even have a sense of. I admit I do talk about Caucasians and racism a lot, but I can't help myself on that one...lol. But when it comes to REALLY controversial subjects like the jab or trans issues, I try not to speak on them too much out of respect for the site so as not to get it flagged. I'm sure you've dealt with social media and how on some channels ANY mention of those subjects....outside of positive support....will get you blocked/banned.

At over 20 years old......AALBC is literally an INSTITUTION right now. A Black Literary institution. I HAVE said over the years that AALBC should receive an ENDOWMENT. Sort of like colleges and universities receive from various agencies like governments, corporations, and even their successful alumni. I think those of us who've benefited from AALBC whether from Troy selling our books, giving our literature free reviews, giving our poetry a place to be read, or just giving us a platform to speak....should show appreciation. I've said often that if I were wealthy I ABSOLUTELY would be sending in funds to not only expand and promote this site but I really want to see atleast one AALBC PHYSICAL BUILDING where people can hold events, purchase books, and warehouse books and other material. Some of you may or may not believe this but it could actually expand to end up a major Black institution like Morehouse or Howard over the next 20 or 30 years with proper support and funding.

Mzuri Actually, it is our forum. Pioneer foots the bill (though he would probably never admit it) and I manage it. But it is pointless without participants and readers, both of which have increased due in part to YOUR participation. Troy is right. I WOULDN'T admit to it, because I don't, lol. Have any of you proponents of Crypt(interesting prefix)-o-currency investing studied the LAWS regarding how it's mined and how any income generated on it must be reported on your taxes? From what I've been told, it's confusing and painstakingly tedious....not to mention the laws around how any income must be reported to the IRS.

Mel Also you must report every cryptocurrency trade when you file income taxes. Aside: The weird part is cryptocurrency volatility. It can be a loss or a gain by the time you file. So that serves up some type of conundrum. But anyway, you must report. It’s now law. Absolutely. It's like a stock or commodity and the value goes up and down on an almost daily basis. So you need a PROFESSIONAL just to do your taxes accurately when you're including any wealth accumulated from crypto-currency If a person investing in all of that mess makes certain mistakes, they're liable to be hit with fraud charges. I've said over and over again that it's a SCAM....a GAME....really a TRAP. The word "crypto" is the right term because a person can end up in a financial and legal CRYPT if they make the wrong moves:

ProfD What really pulls me in are those African women...lol. With the exception of Liberia, most African women regardless of the nation they come from are so sensual and sexual by nature that just sitting NEXT to them makes me want to get on it. As a kid I wouldn't even look at an African girl because of the brainwashing. But as I grew up and got older I started just paying more attention to the feminine way so many African women carried themselves and how they maintained their shape and curves....that ALONE is enough for us to bridge our differences. If I had the resources and connections I'd start a dating/marriage service between Africans and AfroAmericans.

So what we need is for the INTELLIGENT and STRONG brothers to step up and take the lead and force the others to get in line and the rest of the community is sure to follow along. Cynique Well I don't know MILLIONS and MILLIONS and MILLIONS of people personally....like you do....to make that assumption. I know when they were selling the jab they said people wouldn't get sick AT ALL. Then when people started getting sick, they said it wouldn't prevent sickness but you wouldn't have to be hospitalize. Then when people started being hospitalized with it, they said you might go to the hospital but atleast you wouldn't die. Now that THOUSANDS of people have gotten the jab and STILL died of Covid....now they're making more excuses. Talking about.... "Well did you get your booster shot? That's the key right there...get your booster and everything will be fine" One lame ass excuse after another to explain why what they SAID would work...isn't working.

I actually get along pretty good with most Africans. But I admit that I kind of go out of my way TO get along with them. If I find out a person is from Africa or the Caribbean I'll go out of my way to introduce myself and get to know them and I'll teach them about the U.S. and the history of Black people in the U.S...and also tell them something about their culture and nation. Most Africans aren't used to Black Americans having knowledge about THEIR particular nation or tribal group. I know there has been a lot of talk of tension between Africans and AfroAmericans, but I think much of it is do to cultural misunderstandings and our LACK of a culture of our own. Let me explain.......... All immigrants who come to the U.S. have their own culture. There own ways of doing things, marrying, language, diet, ect....... As AfroAmericans....we don't. We generally have only 2 ways of doing things: 1. The White way 2. The MODIFIED White way. Which is the White way with a little style or flair added to it to make it unique. This is true with dress, music, diets, family structure, ect.. We don't really have a culture of our own as AfroAmericans. We have a SUB-culture, which is really just a modified form of White American culture...which itself is a modified form of British culture.

ProfD Don't get me wrong, I don't SUPPORT selling out or abandoning the AfroAmerican community....however I understand it. I understand WHY so many of our people...especially our men...do it. If you THINK you only have one life to live, why would you spend it sacrificing and fighting and arguing with a bunch of people...most of whom seem to be ungrateful, petty, and unappreciative of your efforts anyway? Why not leave the angry bitter woman for the pleasant happy smiling woman who jumps into your lap every time you come home from work and is willing to engage in any type of freakish sexual positions you ask of her? Why take your money and invest in the hood only to get phone-calls from the police every other weekend asking that you come down and survey the damage to your store...or identify the body they found IN it....... "I see the weekend is starting a little early........." when you can work in a nice cool air conditioned tower and listen to soft music in exchanges for grinning and scratching where you don't itch from time to time to keep the wolves off your back? Decisions Decisions my man....not everybody is up for the sacrifice.

There are all kinds of neighborhoods I haven't been through yet. Entire subdivisions that I didn't even know existed around here. ProfD You're absolutely correct. However, until we get more control over the criminal justice system and law enforcement....how much bossing up can we do and get away with? It's one thing for a man to put his foot down and demand to be head of the household. But if his lady REFUSES to accept his authority and even threatens to leave him. Besides putting his hands on her (which I don't advocate) and risk going to jail...what else can he do? The little thugs and gangsters running up and down the street in the neighborhood...... Unless GOOD Black men are willing to organize a security force and just get physical with them REGARDLESS of the laws and legal consequences....how do you propose we clean up the community? It's predicaments like these that caused a lot of good Black men to LEAVE the Black community and just get a White/Other woman and abandon the Black race. They saw what needed to be done....but didn't see a legal way to do it and didn't have enough support from the community themselves.

This is what I call "Negro Logic" Distorted half-backed thinking that not only doesn't consider all the factors of a situation but doesn't even make solid common sense. Thinking that merely changing your name or playing around with words is enough to get your freedom and respect is an example of "Negro Logic". China isn't "buying" America.....China is PAYING RENT on U.S. property. There's a difference. Everything the U.S. is allowing China to spend it's money "purchasing" is still in America's POSSESSION on our soil. Anytime the U.S. wants to...they can literally SIEZE and reclaim the property.

ProfD When I was a youngin, AfroAmericans owned everything in my community. In the late 1980s, I saw the handwriting on the wall. AfroAmericans cashed out and Asians showed up. It's been that way for three decades now and counting. It appears that the same economic gentrification took place in Black communities around the same time all over the nation. I remember back in the 70s MOST of the businesses in the Black neighborhoods of Detroit were owned by Black people. You had some major outlets like a McDonalds or Kroger or Sears that were White owned national chains, but most of the small businesses like resturants, dry cleaners, funeral homes, barbershops, ects...even the gas stations...were owned by us. Right around the late 70s I started going to the gas stations and grocery stores for chips and candy and saw light-skinned dudes with hair arms and hair pushing out of their chests speaking a foreign language and counting money. They owned just one or two stores and gas stations. Hmmmm.......🤔 Then as time went by I started seeing more and more of them owning the stores and gas stations...then the restaurants and supermarkets. These were the Middle Easterners who...like the Koreans in other Black communities...were being brought into the Black communities of Detroit to supplant the Black businesses. Mzuri And W T F does whitey want from us??? Maybe he wants YOU to stop calling him "whitey"...lol. Why don’t you work the system and stop complaining about everything. Ok, then why don't YOU learn to work with the Biden Administration and work the system under his presidency instead of complaining about him so much?

Troy @Troy As you know race is a social construct, If race is a "social construct" then how do you justify LIMITING it to just one? Not only can you have MULTIPLE races as I've constantly said, but you can arguably have an endless amount.
