Well, when they TOLD you that, were Black folk 1st class citizens? ....case closed. Ok, and now that Latinos, Arabs, Asians, and other groups are here what class has Black folks "settled" for? .....case closed. Lol...how many times do we need to "close" this case????

frankster Jealousy is not always a bad thing....neither is being insecure Both are means use by your subconscious mind to tell you something is not what it appears to be... How you react or interpret that information is what makes it beneficial or detrimental. I honestly didn't look at it from that perspective. Understood... I'm from Detroit and I remember when the Arabs and Chaldeans first started moving into the city in the 70s one of the things I noticed about them that stood out more so than the Black or White Americans...was how protective and "suspicious" the men were by comparison. Even as a kid I noticed how they would make sure they were always near their females and didn't let them talk to other races of men. How their women would look around at them and buck their eyes or look the other way when men of other races would try to talk to or joke around with them. ....for good reason. Because usually no matter where the Arab man was....if an American man said something to an American woman...he usually popped up out of nowhere to respond or answer the question! And didn't walk away and leave until YOU left. It is My opinion that one should be able to trust his woman to handle certain situation in a manner that makes you and herself happy I feel this way too. Part of me says a man should trust his woman to handle this situation herself, yet another part of me says if you want to KEEP her you better put her on lock...just like you do your car, house, and anything else you value...before somebody else comes along and takes it away, lol. Envy is an feeling based in lack Facts. But the fact is.....if you don't have it you don't have it. IGNORING the fact that you don't have it won't bring you any closer to having it than mere ENVY, lol. So if you want it....perhaps acknowledging the fact that you want it, don't have it, and are envious MIGHT motivate you into action to get it. I first evaluate her reaction. Exactly. I expect certain men to do certain things, but it's HER REACTION that I'm checking the most.

ProfD There is nothing to gain in taking another man's woman. 1. If that was his GOAL....to take "his" woman...then that was the gain in and of itself! 2. As you've so often said before, people don't OWN eachother...so is that really "his" woman; or is she a free woman who can make up her mind as to who she wants to choose and be with moment by moment? A man's energy is better spent increasing his own wealth. In your and my opinion, yes....however people tend to have their own goals. If HIS particular goal isn't to increase wealth but to get THAT woman he's had eyes on since 9th grade....and he finally has an opportunity to snag her, then in HIS mind his energy is best spent chasing after her. It's best to not get involved with a woman who's not truly on the team. No stress. Some men learn that as they get older, some men don't learn it at all. Some men actually like the chase and the psychological games of trying to "win" her over to his team. It is unproductive. People cannot own each other. See....you just backed up what I said earlier about people not owning eachother. However FEAR is a powerful motivator. If you have wealth or women and don't want to lose them....FEAR and the prospect of getting hurt will prevent a lot of men from attempting to take them from you. A man should do whatever it takes to mske himself more attractive. More importantly, he should pursue women who are genuinely interested in him. You'll get no arguments from me on this. However if she's genuinely interested...he shouldn't have to pursue for too long...lol. Men don't have to be jealous or insecure if they are with women who are genuinely attracted to them. Unless another man she's ALSO genuinely attracted to also comes along...lol. Now you got competition. Depending on where one lives, works and plays, they can be around the same people of the opposite sex for many years without getting physical. Ofcourse. But proximity is the biggest factor. Most boys find their girlfriends...not at some public playground...but as school. Most men find their wives...not at a club or bar...but at work. Again, this is why most men from eastern cultures keep their women AWAY from working jobs and at home.

If both of them are ultimately playing for the same team, what difference does it make to the progress of this society WHO prevails? The average American doesn't have a strong knowledge of US government or Civics. Facts. And they play on....and prey on...that fact. But at some point COMMON SENSE should kick in. Anybody over 30 should be questioning how an actual modern GOVERNMENT could actually "shut down"....like it's a Dairy Queen, lol. Common sense would invoke such questions, instead of just going by what you hear on television or read in some social studies book. Hopefully, the people most adversely affected by the shutdown, losing paychecks, SNAP benefits, rising prices and goofy Republican policies and actions, will remember all of it during the midterms and 2028. That gives Democrats enough time to get their messaging right and field strong candidates, charismatic and capable enough to carry and deliver it As I asked Troy, does it matter? Would it make a difference? Good cop vs Bad cop....both of them are playing for the same team. We had Obama and Biden in the White house.....what difference did either one of those two make in terms of reversing what Bush or Trump did before them?

Troy Jealously and insecurity are human emotions nothing is inherently wrong with them, but like all negative emotions including hate, fear, envy, etc we should try to moderate then. I would argue that although these are STRONG emotions, they aren't necessarily negative emotions. It depends on their origins, context, and how they're used. A man COULD use being jealous or envious of another man to take HIS woman and money....or use those same feelings and the energy they invoke to get an even MORE ATTRACTIVE woman and MORE MONEY than the man he was jealous of. I believe as humans we were given all of our emotions....including jealousy and envy....for a reason. If a brother greets your woman with a smile while you are standing there, do you fly into a rage or are your pleased that she was greeted in a friendly manner? I wouldn't fly into a rage over such a minor act; but depending on WHO that brother is and especially HER REACTION to it....it may be a cause of some concern, lol. If a brother KNOWN to try to snatch up every woman he comes across for the fun of it smiles at my lady a little too long I would notice that and be on alert. And if SHE starts slobbering and acting bashful over his greetings as if she's being tickled by it...that TOO will put me on alert...lol. Do you later give her grief, or slap her around, for encouraging the brother or do you think homie was a friendly guy? I don't slap women around, however as I said....depending on HER REACTION and how often this happens...I would probably consider LEAVING her. I don't like dealing with the stress of wondering whether or not my lady is cheating on me. In this type of society women are too independent and we spend too much time away from eachother for me to keep an eye on her all day....so if I know she's prone to that, I just wouldn't have her as a "main". ....a SIDE DISH maybe....lol....but not my "lady". ProfD As @Troy alluded, those are negative emotions. Usually points to deeper issues within that individual. They may indeed have issues going on in their lives. Yet my question remains...WHAT'S WRONG with them being jealous and insecure that another man may take what they have? Perhaps their insecurities are JUSTIFIED. Perhaps he's deformed, or sexually dysfunctional, or struggles with some sort of addiction and feels that at any time his woman may be unsatisfied with him and may leave him for a "better catch". Wouldn't it MAKE SENSE for him to be insecure and jealous when other men she may like, come around? People don't make the best decisions based on their emotions. While this is true, there is usually a THOUGHT that preceded those emotions....and THAT'S what a person should pay attention to. An emotion is simply a REACTION to a thought. But the thought itself may be justified because it was brought about for a reason. You have a woman who is YOUR woman...but for the past few weeks she has to get up and go downstairs to talk to somebody every other night at 2 and 3 in the morning. She gets off of work at 5 pm and usually comes straight home....but for the past few weeks she's been coming home at 10 and 11pm at night and doesn't even have an excuse for doing so. That's enough to make the AVERAGE man a little "emotional"....lol. You'd be a fool not to suspect SOMETHING strange is going on. Jealousy and insecurity are not traits that enable a man to provide for and protect his woman, children, family, village, etc. I'm not sure about insecurity but I do believe JEALOUSY would definitely enable a man....atleast provide him with the energy and motivation...to protect his woman, children, family, and village. Jealousy is a sign that he really loves or atleast desires the object OF his jealousy and would do almost anything to keep it....including fight and kill for it. Show me a man who never gets jealous over his woman and I'll show you a man who DOESN'T HAVE a woman....or can't keep her long because another man who actually DOES want her will take her away...lol. A man should have the mental and physical abilities to handle his business. No time for jealousy and insecurity. In fact, a strong man (mentally & physically) doesn't have to worry about his woman leaving and/or another man testing him. A strong man can easily find another woman. They are attracted to him. You're speaking in idealistic terms....not necessarily realistic. Besides, most women in this society who cheat...don't seem to choose the mean they cheat with based on their strength. Mental or physical. The fact is, based on my observation....most cheating occurs by simple ACCESS. They more you're around a person of the opposite sex the more likely you are to have sex with them as you get to know them and know more about them. Many Arabs and people in very religious cultures have BEEN known this for centuries....which is why they usually keep men and women who aren't married to eachother SEPARATE. They don't work together or even go to school together. They know things will just "happen" between men and women.

Not only are they.....as Professor Griff would say: PAWNS in the game ...what virtually NONE of these non-Whites understand is that they are caught between two opposing groups of White folks with conflicting ideas and agendas. The wealthy elite Whites brought them into America for cheap labor and to act as buffers between them and AfroAmericans. That's who sponsor them and that's who support them. The poor and working class Whites feel they are taking their jobs, ruining America with their foreign cultural habits, and generally hate them and want them gone. This confuses the shit out of most of these non-Whites because they feel that White folks love them one minute and hate them the next....lol.

Troy Because we are not animals Oh??? Some of us aren't? and many of us have some modicum of self-control. It seems your expectations of humans is pretty low. Depending on the human, when it comes to sex....yes. Infact, depending on SOME of the dudes I've seen...my expectations of them are actually pretty HIGH. I EXPECT for them to try to screw any woman they can have 5 minutes alone with, including female relatives. If I go to a family reunion and see some of the characters I know leave without hitting on ALL of the females he comes across there...although I think it's a GOOD thing, I'm still a bit disappointed that he didn't do exactly as I expected of him. Virtually all the women I interact with are classy enough not to raise me suspicion of sleeping with my son -- especially if I'm dating them. I don't have a son, but I would hope they would also respect the code implicitly. In today's society, especially in our community for those born after 1970...there IS no "code" of ethics or conduct that most of us honor outside of the code of basic humanity that is given to us through human instinct. I'm in my 50s and most of the women I kick it with are over 40. If I bring them around my family (I generally don't hang around 20 and 30 year olds so the only time I really interact with them is at work or at family get-togethers) the young men usually find them attractive and I see them giving them the "eye". Besides most women just naturally not finding younger men attractive (..though some do) what really keeps them in check is knowing ME and how I am and how protective and territorial I am. But the women I kick it with AND the men of my family know this about me, so they don't try anything while I'm present and evidently don't try anything behind my back either....lol But FEAR is the "code" they respect. Not some arbitrary ethical code regulating who they bang or refrain from. Now you raise an issue with "class." Clearly everyone in this story were of a lower class. Perhaps in these social circles one need to worry about children hooking up with stepparents. I call this "ghetto mentality." Ok. But they are still part of society.....a huge part of society. But what I really meant by that question was WHAT PERCENTAGE of women in today's society would actually be considered "classy". And then ofcourse, we'd have to define "classy". Right. They should stop calling it a "shut down" because the government clearly didn't shut down. They just stopped funding targeted programs, plain and simple. That term misleads people. ProfD The shutdown was an example of them going by the rules. No appropriations...no money. Perhaps. But the rules are so confusing and contradictory it's hard to say. Congress passed a law agreeing to provide stimulus checks. Right. A smart citizen would ask where did they get the money if the nation is supposedly "in debt"? An even smarter citizen would ask why couldn't Congress pass a law to keep SNAP going and funded during the alleged "shut down" until they agreed on a bill? And and even smarter citizen than that would already KNOW why...lol. Those funds were already appropriated for foreign aid. Yeah, I know how this "game" works...lol Having been a social activist for years and having to deal with governments on a city and sometimes county level I know that certain funds...especially funds granted by the state or feds...are appropriated SPECFICIALLY for certain projects and programs and can ONLY BE USED for those projects and programs. It's really a way of cutting one's own throat because a city should be free to use it's available revenue where ever it's NEEDED instead of being forced to use it for only one specific project and then have to give it back if not completely used up. The definition above says it all. The government has already defined essential and non-essential services and functions as well. Not really. It looks to me like these federal agencies that rely on the funding get to decide for themselves what is essential and what is not, but perhaps I'm mistaken.

I thought TikTok was supposedly owned by China? Where did all of this talk about TikTok being a source of Chinese propaganda come from that these Republicans were crying about a little while back? Although we do need to own our own social media platforms, I don't think we should ignore the grass while focusing on the flowers. We need to make sure we own national television stations, radios, and news papers! Social media is a good way to reach SOME people, but a lot of people....older and a surprising number of younger people....still love to sit back on the couch and relax and WATCH television or LISTEN to the radio. The Civil Rights and Black Power Movements were carried largely by Black owned news papers and radio stations and later on in the 70s and 80s we started buying television stations. We should have kept them.

ProfD Do they even matter? Since when does the Federal Government go by the rules or laws when it comes to spending money on what they WANT to spend money on? For example...... Although the nation was and still is TRILLIONS of dollars in debt, which one of these laws prevented Trump from issuing "stimulus checks" to everybody during his first term? Did any of these appropriations laws prevent Congress from coming up with extra funds from "nowhere" and appropriating them to those who were laid off from the pandemic "surplus" money on top of their regular unemployment checks? And as mentioned before, nations are still getting foreign aid by the billions while they CLAIM there is no money for SNAP benefits. These so-called "rules" and "laws" about how the federal government appropriates money mean absolutely NOTHING. They are only there to CONFUSE those who actually take them seriously. "Under the Antideficiency Act (initially passed in 1884 and amended in 1950), federal agencies cannot spend or obligate any money without an appropriation (or other approval) from Congress. That's the kicker right there; because words like "essential" and "non-essential" are highly subjective which means they get to pick and choose which services they'll fund.

ProfD Ofcourse, we know those type of women exist. And a man should know his son well enough to know if he can leave his girlfriend or wife around him. But at the end of the day, if you're son is old enough ATTRACT the same woman you're banging....one may have to ask why is he still living in the same household as you? This reminds me of those Mother-Daughter teams where both women are in one house working jobs and helping to support eachother. There is NO SUCH THING as the federal government "running out of money". It's a red herring. They're constantly printing up money, expanding their credit, extending the debt ceiling, re-appropriating funds, and taking funds out of one account and putting in another or using funds designed for one program or department and appropriating it to another. Leaders around the globe are LAUGHING at Americans for believing this garbage about the federal government being on a "budget" or "running out of money" because they KNOW better. Because THEY'RE getting billions. That's like you taking all of the money out of your right pocket...putting it in your left...and then pulling out the lining of your right pocket and claiming you're broke, lol. See how asinine that sounds? That's the SAME thing the government is doing.

Now ProfD, I respect you and your intelligence...however...... This is what Obama would call a "fundamental disagreement".....lol. We don't misunderstand eachother; both of our positions are crystal clear....we just DISAGREE.....lol. Unless that woman is his BIOLOGICAL MOTHER (and even then shit can happen!).....a man would be a FOOL if his half-way decent looking woman and his adolescent/adult son are living in the same home together and it NEVER crosses his mind that they may be having a sexual relationship behind his back. Now if the son is a baby or even 8 or 9 year old, ofcourse my lady having some sort of relationship with my son would be one of the last things I'd suspect her of. However if that boy is 14 or 15 or older. Now wait a minute...... That doesn't mean a man should be laying up in bed every night looking up at the ceiling all night long twiddling his thumbs and wondering, or installing cameras and shit in the house trying to catch them in some sort of act. It simply means that there is a CHANCE that it can happen and he needs to keep his eyes and ears open and be aware of how they conduct themselves around eachother.

They weren't deployed in Michigan. My handful of relatives in the DMV said...as you...they were only deployed in the tourist areas of the city. I imagine the same is in Chicago and Memphis. My relatives in Chicago said they haven't seen them. What I think happened was the GANGSTAS....who aren't very politically aware and don't focus on the news much...heard Trump was sending the troops in and assumed they were going to slide through the hood like an avalanche with automatic weapons crushing everything in sight...so they ran up in the house and hid, lol. Well.... Whatever the hell their intention and strategy was, it made a lot of these fools get some ACT RIGHT. And just like announcing their deployment made some of these clowns put the gats away and go into hiding....announcing their departure will probably have the OPPOSITE effect.

ProfD Beyond appropriations law and all that stuff taught in US Government classes...it is definitely a game. When I was in highschool I was too busy chasing coochie (and wondering why it was so hard to catch up with) to pay attention in class...lol. So don't pull a richardmurray on me and bless me out for know knowing all of the intricate details about how the government actually works. However if the government is still funding the FBI and other policing agencies and those agencies are still operating, surveilling, and arresting people, then the government is NOT shut down....despite whatever the hell it's being "called". If the government is still giving out BILLIONS of dollars to other nations in foreign aid DURING the alleged shut down, there is no excuse not to pay air traffic controllers and SNAP beneficiaries...except if they were INTENTIONALLY being targeted and denied payment for whatever reason. If the government "shut down" for 40 days....how were the post offices able to operate? What about the armed forces? There is no such thing as a "government shut down". It's just a MEME used to distract the public. It's really INTENTIONAL NEGLECT of TARGETED institutions as a way of disrupting people's live to the point that they'll put pressure on their Representatives to cave to the demands of the opposition.
