Dream Detroit Skating Academy < https://dreamdetroitskate.com/ >, the first Black-female owned figure skating club in all of Michigan, has officially launched. 

The new academy is run by Angela Blocker-Loyd, Candice Tamakloe and Crystal Stewart. In addition to being the first Black-owned female figure skating club in Michigan, it is also Detroit’s first female-owned figure skating academy.
Classes are held at the Adams Butzel Recreation Center-Jack Adams Memorial Ice Arena

Dream Detroit’s skate season will run February through early-May 2022.  DDSA offers four (4) skating sessions per week on Fridays and Saturdays. Each session lasts for five weeks. Tuition is $80 for a weekly one-hour class for 5 weeks or $95 for a weekly two-hour class for 5 weeks. We are welcoming students ages 4 and older. All students  need to bring their own skates for classes. Tuition is due at the time of registration.
