Universal Income Trap
@Pioneer1 you say Universal basic income is a trap aligning to his stated position that universal basic income will force people to adhere to whatever government mandates or policies to retain the money needed for them to survive in the usa, in which their rent, food, clothing, ehalthcare, schools, holiday costs are more than most can afford. Now while I contest his attempt at prescience, assuming universal basic income will come with fealty of a petty nature, let us assume it will happen. Ok. Then the fears you or he have are warranted with the assumption. But, let us look at the environment, the financial environment in the usa? Now he admitted in the very same video that the labor market for humans in the usa is dwindling. He admitted it. Now, it is also commonly comprehended that ninety percent of wealth in the usa is inherited, meaning, acquired by geniture, or bloodline descendency. It si also commonly known that ninety percent of the wealth is in the hands f a one percent ... sometimes one percent of a one percent. So overwhelming majority of wealth being inherited + most wealth in an extremely small percentage of the populace,+ a dying human labor fiscal need = the fiscal sitaution in the usa today said fiscal situation in the usa today +univeral basic income = maintenance of the current system of debt, wealth, inheritance, market manipulation or structures. or cost in various industries. Absent this elevated welfare, what do you propose for people to do to pay for rent/food.healthcare? I didn't listen to the whole video but he didn't offer solutions. Are you suggesting fiscal poor people kill themselves? yeah ok, I know a number of blacks throughout the years, all ages, have said that. Most in humanity will never do it. Do you know why I know? nothing black people went through in the usa was harder than legal enslavement on the mind + body+ spirit and yet they as humans foun ways to survive, not thrive, but survive such that they didn't kill themselves. Even if that meant being a shell or empty vessel just breathing till you die. But they didn't kill themselves. Most humans will not kill themselves today and especially with the option of Universal basic income. The problem with every single person opposed to universal basic income is the absence of an alternative from them. you say it is a trap but I still think it is an inevitability based on the environment. I live in NYC, the rent is too high, the food is too hgih, the healthcare is too high. Now you can sya, people should move. But, move where? Is los angeles cheap? is louisiana safe? Remember, right now, the carpet industry, based in georgia, has multiple lawsuits from white people , fiscal poor white people, from south carolina to alabama, over their air and water being cancer causing for decades, at least fifty years easy. Moving isn't going to help most people in the usa. Then the learn skills argument . But here is the problem with the skills argument. the history of labor in the usa proves labor was never given for skills, that is another myth in the usa. Black people were used as enslaved labor not because of merit or their skills but cheapness, affordability. The second legal ensalvement ended, circa 1865, white people went about entrapping black people in bad contracts which whether legal or illegal were expensive to contest in a court of law and since 99% of black person born before 1965 in the usa had no money , no financial inheritance, they had no money to afford the legal fees necessary to challenge all the legal traps whtite people terrorized black people into from 1865 to 1980. When the immigration act came in the mid nineteen hundred and sixties, the whites used uneducated immigrants, not because of skills but because of cheapness of labor. The use of robots/computer programs/machines of various levels began taking over human laborers in the usa before said electronics were a skillwise replacement for human labor. So what is the answer? At the end of the day, all movements anywhere in humanity to be stopped need an alaternative and in absence of the alterantive, the movement will kee moving to its inevitability. Alza Festival is scheduled for Oct. 16 through Oct. 18 with premieres and screenings of microdramas, industry conversations, networking events, masterclass and brand activations. Per the partnership with the Mayor’s Office of Media and Entertainment, the festival will also feature the launch of the Created in NY program, which will feature educational panels and workshops, inclusion in a Created in NY showcase (a screening block for finalists in the program), and the opportunity to win a Made in NY Award, which would mark the first time this award is presented to a content creator. “New York has always defined what’s next in media, and vertical storytelling is no exception,” said Commissioner Rafael Espinal of the NYC Mayor’s Office of Media and Entertainment. “The launch of ‘Created in NY’ alongside the ALZA Festival is about recognizing that the next generation of filmmakers and creators is already here. Our job is to help open doors, develop talent, and make sure New York remains the best place in the world to build a creative career.” The festival was created by Pete Torres, the former COO for Tribeca Festival, along with Rita Vinnik, a former TikTok executive and Katie Korfhage, who previously served as Tribeca Festival’s Vice President of Development. The founders have put out an open call for submissions. “Vertical storytelling has evolved into one of the fastest-growing forms of entertainment in the world, yet until now it hasn’t had a dedicated cultural home – so we created ALZA to change that,” said Pete Torres, Founder and CEO of ALZA Festival. “Our goal is to bring together creators, platforms, studios, brands, and audiences to celebrate this incredible new medium while helping shape its future. There is no better place than New York City to launch that conversation, and we’re proud to work with the Mayor’s Office of Media and Entertainment to spotlight the city’s next generation of storytellers.” -

COMMENT URL https://www.deviantart.com/comments/1/1348491319/5298292166 COMMENT CONTENT @leothefox never forget the variance between the commercial side the creative. Commerciality is not based on how an artist views their work. Commerciality is based on how the audience views an artists work. The author of sherlock holmes, made a bok called the white company. From his own perspective the white company was a better book than sherlock holmes, but the audience wanted and loved holmes. So remember that, the creative value of your work is based on your relationship to your work. but the commercial value is based on how others view your work. You suggest the creative should determine the commercial but I don't think so. I think all artists need to comprehend what they value creatively, but also learn what is commercially liked. Stepehen king wanted to be a fantasy writer but it didn't work out commercially. His first book carrie he put in the trahs but it was a huge commercial success. COMMENT URL https://www.deviantart.com/comments/1/1349878628/5298336180 COMMENT CONTENT @KABANOMORI lovely feature, enjoyed all the works When any artist creates with no financial agenda, the art has only one purpose and that is the desires of the artist. That is historically ninety nine percent of art created. When an artists creates with a financial agenda that they are paying for, the artist is gambling what they like will be adored by others so to turn a profit. You see this in various independent films or independent video games. When an artist creates with a financial agenda others are paying for, others are the primary determinant of its success. The Medici's patronage to an artist, or big hollywood studio films paying a director who is an artist, comic book companies paying artists to draw and right a graphic novel. The problem in the art world isn't the absence of voices . Art has always been and will always be created throughout humanity, and usually with no financial agenda. The problem in the art world is the absence of voices in the paid artistic space. Oscar Michaeux proves black people in all aspects of the film industry in the usa was present from the early 1900s. But big hollywood studioes who financed better than anyone else, didn't utlizie black artists in all ways. so today it is still seen as a rarity. Black independent comic book makers have existed since at least the late nineteen forties, with Lion Man, and yet, the number of black characters between marvel + dc with their owncomic was so small, milestone was and still is deemed a rare gem of black title characters. The easiest proof is in jean michel basquiat's life. When he died , people threw his art away. Now, with the promotion by many black people with money, his art work goes for millions. When a firm is looking to make money in the arts it is looking to cater to the paying audiences tastes. In the usa what few seem to realize is the 1970s was the first decade in the history of the usa or the european colonies that preceded it where the black paying auidence could support white financed film/theater and thus the commonly called blaxploitation era which was mostly financed by whites, mostly had white directors, but had many black actors to cater to the black ticket buyers who wanted to see themselves. Have you ever been told your vision wasn't "authentic" enough? Did a curator or a manager diminished your experience based on their own? Or perhaps you were commissioned by a client only to learn they needed a "diverse" take on the subject? No but I havent worked for a disney or similar. I know artists who have worked in the private sector and they have stated similar. @RoyalArtist91 nice work fellow graphiter, I couldn't find the photo you referenced. but the chiaroscuro is lovely and from what i saw it looks like her @MagentaRoseOrchid what photo of yours do you want to be illustrated from most? @6re9 draperie is elegant, nice version @Apelure is the pearl going to be eaten? @AleksiAh I never played baldur's gate, but i like karlach's physicality @RolfDBruehwiler lovely detail in the ink, what inspired the design? @mrmission have you ever seen the film krull? this reminds me a little of the design for the beast? @hellboyashish is that harriet tubman? looks like a photo of her i saw. @Kietz your wife is very pretty, will you place the work of her in frames? @SCII1 moth gideon the texture of skin you achieved is very nice @lorelielye a fairy ballerina, cute @rohelinebear reminds me of the lady in gold @Wininiii a deer looking at the leaves nice @K-Zlovetch Ancient and powerful @WisniewskiStan love the decay of the demon cat @WisniewskiStan have you drawn sheharazade telling a tale? Boris Vallejo's final commercial or commissioned work
From his wife, Julie Bell Hello everyone! I have an announcement to make and feel now is the time as we’ve received so many kind comments on our recently shared painting “Inferno”. Boris and I worked together on this piece for the past three years and we deeply appreciate all the notes from people who enjoy our collaborative paintings. Boris is now 85 and has Parkinsons. He has been creating magical worlds for others to enjoy for over five decades and is now officially retired from commercial or commissioned work. “Inferno” is his last piece of this type. This decision has taken quite some time to arrive at and even more time to feel ready to announce. He's still signing prints and cards, he still does some painting for himself, and he still plans to be at Illuxcon in October in Reading, PA because he loves seeing all of you and chatting about art! We thank everyone for all of the love and support you’ve shown all these years! my comment To Mr. Vallejo, all I will say is , Lovely artist:) Glad he isn't alone in this world and can live the rest of his life, still creating, aside his loving ones. this website https://www.borisjulie.com/ THE WORK Primeval princess , cover for a book https://www.budsartbooks.com/product/boris-vallejo-s-primeval-princess-hurt/ The Announcement post https://www.instagram.com/juliebellartist/p/Da_Le0OJSyQ/ The art post https://www.instagram.com/juliebellartist/p/Da7wA2Npdn-/
