Me too. I also used to use it to make popcorn, but that was until I got an air popper which superior to anything you can get out of microwave oven. That is good practice. It seems to me most people don't read the original posted source. Most often what I find (not talking about you) is that when you go to the "source" it; does not support the argument of the poster -- indeed may even contradict the poster; it is not an original source and is paraphrasing another course. When run down the "original" source it does not substantiate the poster's point; it is just another opinion -- not proof; or the source is specious. There have been so many posters whose shared links so often feel into one of the above categories that I just stopped looking at their sources. I've some to believe many don't even read their own sources. If they did read then they did not understand what they read. Since most do check sources, especially when reading on social media, lies proliferate and become alternative facts. Depending upon how AI is used it can start wars.

Well TikTok did not like it. It was the least viewed video I’ve published since i started posting videos on TikTok if it is virtual I’m sure AI will easily mimic human interaction and may even be superior to it. It has already passed the touring test I’m not so sure about the list @Stefanmodern microwave are designed to defrost frozen meat. That is true @zeke1234. AI should make humanity, but I fear it will just increase wealth inequality, because people are too greedy.

Yeah the only social media company I half way try to post to is owned by the Chinese, so they are already manipulating me better than the Americans. The way the Chinese government surveils their population is amazing and scary; it is on par with what American corporations do with us.

We know most people wrongly arrested and convicted of murders are Black Again, nothing the person who started this conversation substantiates the demonizing claim that black commit 60% of murders. Maybe he meant Blacks are 60% of the murder victims 🥺 Black people are under constant attack on all fronts. Given the overtly racist history of this country, this behavior is perfectly understandable. But it is time that people educate themselves and shed this racist mentality. Unfortunately it seems, in recent years, we’re are becoming more divided. This may not be true, but the media’s coverage and posts on this forum makes it seem that way .

I think the real problem are media whose only motivation is maximizing profits and most of these are white owned. I could not bring myself to watch more than a minute of the video.

I was not aware that this was true. It may be, but I'd image it is not. I periodically look at this page: https://aalbc.com/tc/online/ it tells you what people has been doing on the forums over that last 30 minutes. I can also see the ip address which may give you a clue to the location of the user. When I log out I don't see the IP addresses. @Pioneer1 when you visit that page do you see IP addresses? Well with AI the powerful will be able to read everything ever posted anywhere on the web. The tools will be able learn your true identity and use that information in ways I can't even begin to fathom. What we saw with Cambridge Analytica and Facebook was child's play by comparison I still have not figured out what the deal is with the Black People commit 60% of the crimes conversation. It was the 2nd most visited page, in the last 30 days, on the entire site. Many visitors are from Europe, or using a VPN to make it look like they are coming from Europe. It would be getting media attention if it were on Twitter.

When someone points out that "black crimes are reported/investigated/prosecuted more?" why reject this fact. I believe you do it because the complexity of having to consider these things makes it harder for you sustain your position. There have been a great many books written on this subject -- especially in recent years. You should read more some. @JakeFromNY what part of New York are you from?

That is a boatload of information @zeke1234 welcome to the forums. @ProfD I just finished reading a chapter on the book Disintegration: The Splintering of Black America in which the author defines four Black American groups. In it he describes how the "mainstream middle-class" bristled at the way the dancers at an HBCU football game dressed provocatively and booty shaking on the football field. I did not see the show, but it has been my observation the much of what was restricted to the strip club has made it into mainstream Black culture -- the way women dress, the lyrics in our music, and the way we dance is all heavily influenced by the strip club... seriously. I saw Jodeci and Charlie Wilson perform a year ago and these groups appeal to middle-aged folks and older. Young adults are into the strip club style performers. Hey did you know groups of women and couples now go to strip clubs nowadays? At least that is what I hear 😉

I worked for a Wall Street firm called Bankers Trust there was analyst at the time Anthony Noto, I believe, who covered Amazon. Amazon was losing billions but this guy always recommended them. I figured it was just collusion between the analysts and the investment bankers. What I missed was the Noto knew Amazon was an emerging monopoly. I would be wealthy today if I held onto my Amazon stock... I simply could not Invision what Amazon would become. The would narrative that they were selling books out of a garage and grew from there was all BS obscuring the real plan. In the last few years, a lot more funding has opened up for Black-owned startups. So things have gotten better in a way but not nearly as it has been for the Jeff Bezoses of the world. The web is incredibly difficult to navigate if you are mission driven and want to make money. The web is optimized for "World Star" rather than "Emerge." I get over with your support, energy, hard work, luck, and little intelligence recently augmented by AI. AI is THE biggest threat right now. AI which can make websites, as we know them, obsolete. AI is the biggest thing I've seen on the web since it was opened to the public, and I've been on the web before it was available to the public. In the hands of greedy suits AI can become far more harmful than what we have seen from social media. I'm fairly certain this well happen, because this is what always happens. Were it not for the fact that West aggressively campaigned for Obama I might agree with you somewhat @Stefan. "Kneecapping: the president is not something that West was capable of doing. What West did was bring attention to what Obama did not do and held him accountable. West is sophisticated enough to understand Obama's limitations. I do not think his critique was unfair. I doubt West would have gotten aboard the Obama train without some indication from Obama on what he would do as president. Again, the most telling thing to me is the unwillingness of Obama to give Black newsletters interviews. George Curry complained about this: There is a disrespect for the black press that we have not seen in recent years. For example, we have requested — every year — an interview with the president. He can ignore 200 black newspapers and 19 million viewers but he can give one to every stupid white comedian there is on TV, the black ones and the white ones, and has time for all types of buffoonery but they will not respect the black press enough to give us an interview. You guys might be right about West's chances at being elected. But I don't think it is impossible, but it is indeed a long shot. I attended an Obama rally at Harlem's Apollo Theater (don't ask me why my camera decided not to focus that day).
