  1. Stories about Black people's lives, written by Black are fascinating, interesting reads because we have important stories to tell in ways only a Black person can tell. All fiction stories have five basic but important elements. The characters, the setting, the plot, the conflict, and the resolution. These elements keep the story running smoothly and allow the action to develop in a logical way that the reader can follow. The characters in your story are the individuals the story is about. You should introduce the characters in the story with enough information that the reader can visualize each person. Do this by providing detailed descriptions of a character’s physical attributes and personality traits. Every story should have a main character. The main character determines the way the plot will develop and is usually who will solve the problem the story centers upon. However, the other characters are also very important because they supply additional details, explanations, or actions. All characters should stay true to the author’s descriptions throughout the story so that the reader can understand and believe the action that is taking place—and perhaps even predict which character may do what next. The setting is the location of the action. An author should describe the environment or surroundings of the story in such detail that the reader feels that he or she can picture the scene. Unusual settings (such as a fantasy world) can be interesting, but everyday settings can help a reader to better visualize the story and feel connected to the plot! The plot is the actual story your entire book is based. A plot should have a very clear beginning, middle, and end—with all the necessary descriptions and suspense, called exposition—so that the reader can make sense of the action and follow along from start to finish. Every story has a conflict/problem to solve. The plot is centered on this conflict and the ways in which the characters attempt to resolve the problem. When the story’s action becomes most exciting, right before the resolution, it is called the climax. The solution to the problem is the way the action is resolved. For example, James Balwin often resolves a conflict by leaving the reader to use her/his imagination of real life for Black people in America, fighting or resisting White oppression, or describing how to fix problems created by White folks. Just remember, it is important that the resolution fit the rest of the story in tone and creativity and solve all parts of the conflict.
  2. @Troy: Perhaps just 'evil' is better; sorry, the racism within me, I'm constantly trying to check, need to throw 'White or Jew' into every explanation of suffering children, corruption, and unnecessary destruction. Kind of like using abortion to check unwanted pregnancy, I'm simply avoiding avoidable pitfalls that could cloud the mind of debatable truths. Survival by greater numbers only, not superior intellect is equally disheartening. Selfish, ethnocentric, greedy mentalities multiplied, and in-charge. History too is doomed to record over and over, the same story, only different versions.
  3. @Troy: True, Blacks who understand fiscal policy and responsibility aim higher than the many who do not, and most do not; all they understand, care about is the need for continued existence under conditions their used to living. Whatever those conditions may be. Their hope is confined to divine miracles, winning the lottery, and sheer luck. Sound advice from ethical leaders/advisors and other experts is replaced by clever preachers, seer's, and astrological predictions. Most Blacks could care less about size of government or taxes; trees in the forest is just another matter of desire. That ignorance coupled with increased poverty is what will lead to greater desperation. Increase in crime and antisocial behavior is inevitable; triggering policies and deterrent measures already in-place, aimed to cement, legalize oppression of Black folk in America; and (scarily) re-introduction to involuntary servitude, an extreme possibility even I reject.
  4. @Troy: Right again! When people feel the pinch of poverty the only authority they recognize is others like them; which is probably another reason we have Black republicans. But for most Black folk it is different. In addition, everyday expenses to provide basic needs, coupled with illegal, compound interest in fines, fee's, and other obligations not only cripple the Black community, but also make regrouping near impossible. All designed to life harder for the Black community, blessed and sanctioned by Federal and local government leave room for hope such tactics will end anytime soon. Now, with added expenses for K-12 education expenses, menial employment opportunities (regardless of employment data) the Black community alone appear to be headed for a separate economic collapse within a flourishing American economy where only White folk enjoy healthy, threat free existence.
  5. @Troy: You are right, only the Black community can bring about the change needed to make a difference, for us. Your optimism that 'we will come together' to make such change is an entirely different equation, however. 400+ years of indoctrination into the White system of economics, social control, and imbedded psychological trauma of survival fall well beyond the definition of simple PTSD, not something we'll shed overnight. I do accept the 'possibility' we can and will come together and bring about change though. But to what end? As part of human species, is it within our nature to do things differently; or just repeat a process of life, living (even in control) as the evil Whiteman has since the beginning of time; if so, will we establish a society of equality and justice instead of self-preservation by any means necessary? I say it this way because, I believe, there's no way White folk will survive the storm they've created. The last man standing will be the first man on earth. Black folk.
  6. That's the question worth $1, the answer of which is worth $100,000,000,000,000 … and far more- easier asked than answered. To say improvised people, have no part in their own poverty is (also) like saying the bank played no part in its robbery; keeping money in the community where poor struggle, what did the Jews do in Germany that caused them to be victimized, etc., and was it not the naive, welcoming, 'happy-go-lucky,' greedy nature of Blacks in Africa that made them available to involuntary servitude? By no means does such minimal involvement take from the evil nature of human beings, but it does point to an irreconcilable side of nature no-one has a solution to. The right of a country to use capitalism, military authority, and control over its people have always existed, in one form or another since the beginning of time. What poor people can do, to hear me tell about it, is to adhere to age-old-adage "every man and woman for her/his self and God for us all" except for the children. Let's face it, we Black folk will sell each out in heartbeat, for a miserable personal gain, so will White folks, to each other. If only optimism outweighed pessimism historically, hopeless future of modernity would serve as an example. But that's only wishful thingking.
  7. @QueenX: To Understand "where the Fraternal Order of Police c[a]me from" you've got to have some historical background of "Critical Issues in Policing" most people simple don't understand. The development of the American Police, from the colonial period to the present have undergone various 'reform' movements that's molded and changed agency functions into the Police department we see today. What we now call "community-oriented policing" (COP) formed by a White colonialist named 'Sir Robert Peele is responsible for many aspects of modern law enforcement. Before 2015 more Blacks than Whites, who reported crime, felt police were helpful; 85-83% respectively. The Fraternal Order of Police (FOP), I surmise, was the failed attempt towards a reform that would have had devastating effects on civilian communities had it ended as a reform rather than a simple powerless member of sworn police officers. In 1984 Carl Klockars described police control as having four major elements: Authority, Power, Persuasion, and Force. NOW, for the sake of this discussion, pay attention, look-up, and never forget that word "AUTHROITY" because that is the word that make police legitimate, especially in our communities. Power, persuasion, and force mean nothing if people don't recognize police authority. Hence, the FOP is the illegal attempt to legitimatize itself whenever the community no-longer does. Unprovoked killing of Black children, arrests, fines, and unlawful ticketing aimed to finance police department's and enrich local government without legislative policies to authorize such actions take away from police authority in eyes of the civilian community. They cannot have a society where the people no-longer recognize the police as legitimate enforcers of laws that discriminate, alienate, marginalize, and legalize murder.
  8. If my memory serves me correctly, someone here mentioned a June 15, 2018 event that appear to taking shape. It is possible that June 15, 2018 will be the day on which Paul Manafort begins spending the rest of his life behind bars. Donald Trump’s Campaign Manager, the person who sat next to Jared Kushner and Donald Trump, Jr. as they plotted with Russian spies to steal an American election, may begin a life sentence in a little over a week’s time. There are only three somewhat plausible reasons he won’t. First, there is the possibility that Manafort begins cooperating with the Special Counsel. Second, Donald Trump could pardon him at some point. Third, the judge could decide to allow Manafort to remain in home detention at the hearing on June 15. Let’s look at these possibilities—and their legal and political ramifications—one at a time. We’ll start with that third possibility.
  9. In U.S. Supreme Court case Burdick v. United States, 1915; held that when a person accepts a pardon it is a legal admission of guilt. Trump would be admitting that he is guilty of whatever crimes he is ultimately charged with by the Department of Justice. If Trump is free from federal charges he can still be impeached. As many legal experts have said, the rules of evidence are different in an impeachment trial than in a criminal trial. This means that evidence a defense lawyer gets excluded in a trial would be admitted in an impeachment proceeding. Not only that, but after a pardon Trump could no longer invoke his 5th Amendment right against self-incrimination. He would have to testify against himself. Television ratings for a Trump impeachment trial where the rules of evidence don’t apply. The plaintiffs in such a trial would be the very Congress people who Trump has been insulting and abusing for years. They would be extremely vindictive and would bring up every nasty possible piece of evidence they could find to taint Trump’s reputation — and it would all be perfectly legal. “A person can’t be pardoned if they have done nothing wrong. If Trump were to pardon himself for obstruction of justice, he would be admitting that he obstructed justice. Congress would have no choice but to impeach him. The pardon is not a get out of jail free card. Legally the president can’t pardon himself according to the Department of Justice, but if Trump tried, he would be impeached.” In either case DT would be removed from office.
  10. That fit's DT's psychological profile, exactly; and it could either way which is another reason I give it 70% change he'll be out before 2019.
  11. Write stories about the problem For instance: Learn what structural racism means, the one perpetuated by the educational system; particularly via the "School-to-Prison Pipeline." The pipeline describes the policies and practices that further racialize criminalization by routing young Black children out of school and on the pathway to prison. This is accomplished through programs such as the "Hidden Curriculum," simultaneously medicalizing White children to comparable behaviors and double standards in the application of disciplinary policies that are color-blind in theory, but not in practice. The school-to-prison pipeline is facilitated by enforcing harsh 'zero-tolerance' policies such as "Broken Windows" community policing, police in schools and out-of-control systems that criminalize 'Blackness,' e.g., Black girls with braided afro hairstyles, baggy pants, tattoos, and Black mannerism's; while mitigating White social deviance with medical labels (growing-up). Under the gist of 'social-control' you live under every day there's a story waiting for you to write. And people want to read about it. "Know thy enemy. Yes, I said enemy because any scientific evil method that deny people social and economic justice and/or send children to prison for being themselves, is a very evil enemy." Some education is important because school is where the enemy live and work. Let no-one tell you that you don't need some education and listen closely to opportunities for higher education (college) because that's where you learn and practice how to fight the enemy.
  12. Yes, Troy, that is true, is the 30/100% reason DT may remain in office after 2019, 70/100 he'll be removed before. It is quite possible impeachment only may be construed as satisfactory but is blood-in-the water for the Muller sharks. Impeachment will lead to indictment and removal. So I believe.
  13. Of course, they're openly robbing and pilfering from innocents. Under the color of law, police not only serve and protect citizens, they choose which citizens to serve and protect and which to target for personal gain. Unholy alliances and murder was just an encore, a testing ground to see how far they can go. The worse that can happen now is limited only by one's imagination; with the likes of Donald Trump to set the example matters will get much worse (especially for Black folk) before they let up. But Black folk will prevail, we always have, for better or worse; however, is a matter of what we've learned from White rulers. Black law enforcement officials joining in crimes with their White counterparts speak to the future for Blacks in general
  14. Too bad it's too difficult getting their mailing lists and strategizing a monster email campaign. AALBC.com is the only public website I endorse on FaceBook, twitter, Pinterest, etc., all my others sharing is 'real news' articles. QUESTION: Does AALBC.com get a commission when books are purchased through the site? I have a list I'll be purchasing soon, I'll be nice knowing I'm investing in the right place. Also, is there a place to submit a book rewiew?
  15. Yes, God too, brother, if anything AALBC.com is an Angel for Black folk in the age of technology, the only site I've ever subcribed to where things are possible brothers and sisters of all ages. Please, do us all a favor and keepping this thing moving up!
  16. Those employees of Google who resist allowing Google to work in the business of war mongers DOD merit some scrutiny. Considering Google's propensity of non-inclusion and 'robber barons' way of doing business mentality; social and economic aims are questionable. I don't any sincerity in Google's move.
  17. Nice elementary school come back. I understand what you are trying to say, but my uncompromised Pro-Blackness explains all that I am. You've almost convinced me that you, actually, not a Black person. The choice of words you use when you're upset is quite slippery, again, as to your sexuality "suck a hard dick [as a Blackman would never make such a suggestion in those terms], non-Black handlers, because Black folks tend to be the MOST DELIGHTFUL in offending and insutling eachother," etc. only adds to how you really feel about Black folk, they're called "Freudian Slips," unintentional error regarded as revealing subconscious. No, you are not entertaining, nor do I see you as such, communicating with you is like experimenting in a laboratory; learning how and what makes you tick. Which makes me even more curious, however, about my comment of your mother being a reputed trollop - only White folk woman is that sexually disreputable and promiscuous. Which of your parents are White, mother, father; or are they of an untraditional association wherein you were reared? It would certainly explain your sexuality and attitude towards women.
  18. Not sure whether I actually realized how offended you were before. Just didn't care I guess!!!!! Thank you, hostility keeps me on my toes, conscience that people like you are out there. I look foward to experimenting with the limits of your 'Donald Trump' thin skin. As for me, I'm Black, used to all sorts of insults and disrespect from non-Blacks all most as much as you're to insulting and disrespecting Black folk; I get tougher every time and intend to toughen you up.
  19. I now realize just how offended you are and that pleases me greatly; it's good for your character. Much more than your mild offenses of being an imposture and using the 'N' word. I withdraw my offer, and reject yours. That's final and official.
  20. Congressional impeachment before November, or mid-term voters at the polls, then impeachment by a Democratic majority in congress; Trump is toast before 2019. It'll be a miracle if he's not out of jail on bail pending trial on the new-year. Foriegn policy and trade appear to be his poison in Congress, dissatisfaction of everything else among voters of all the other parties.
  21. Identity and benefits of writing and reading Black. Usage of writing to tell stories about living in America while Black has a rich history, providing both practical social information and support to other Blacks around the world. Learn to write stories and share the Black experience across all audiences as a principal motivation can offer a profitable, discrimination free safe space to try out a respectful new career. Writing books. How: Reading books by great Black writers, go to AALBC.com books by Black people, about Black people. The goal is to find stories that piss you off, make you happy or learn about past Black people; investigate what makes Black stories interesting why you like or dislike the story. The purpose of sharing traumatic or happy Black stories with Black and even White folk is to show how you feel, see things through your eyes. The big/little idea: As with every respected new career, it's about determination, and luck; knowing that anything a Whiteman or woman can do you can do better. Protest and say whatever you want, anyway you want. Learn how to structure your story, about the characters in your story, plot, and narrative; the powerful dynamics of story elements that can allow you to narrate to understand, find solutions out-of-control situations; like what comes after release from jail/prison, drug addition; denial of your rights to live and love. Three things must happen, be present for it to work: 1) Have a story to tell (about anything); write a story about it; 2) go to AALBC.com to discuss, 3) ask questions about before publishing your story. These three steps might be your link to something great that can put you in control absence other opportunities. But you're got to care about yourself enough to want to try. All you need is the thing you already have, thinking power. Three things that will get in the way: 1) Your own fear and laziness, that's where determination and self-control comes in - just make time to write by avoiding people who stand your way, getting high to start your day; 2) friends and family is going tell you it's a waste of time, you can't do it, you're stupid or don't enough education, remember everybody was once stupid before they went to school and tried; 3) deparation, be patient and don't give-up, work with whatever you have and try to get more than you need. Not until you get that first book published.
  22. Yes, okay, Black Enterprise Magazine was what you said (I think). I misunderstood, evidently as you explained him not him being a troll, etc.
  23. Suit yourself, we both have ego's. Are you a Black man, really? Okay if you say so but don't expect me to be non-critical when you're called out on it, I was insulted first. Is the way I see it. At least I'm willing it initiate a compromise, which makes me the better between us. I do recall it! Or was that another 'innocent' claim? I'll wait for brother Troy to chime in.
  24. Okay, but to what end, learn how to be an unskilled worker, earn money; for what, prerequisite toward college or expenses. There are things in this world youth must earn and learn separate from home or the local community. Things both internal and external. They must have something to market and do it themselves. I find it hard to believe a Black business owner would see fear as an incentive, to do anything positive. Even fear of incarceration does nothing good! Okay, but Albert Einstein didn't enter college as a genius, he had a foundation. Also, excellence was my point. the misinformed and ignorant are not medically ill people, nor is retardation. A helpless person doesn't need fish when he/she is hungry. They need to learn how to fish, for prolonged survival. Writing a way to do that, and can earn some quick cash too. Talent is a skill that comes naturally, something a person finds inside her/his self, better for the individual to find it before someone else. Black Ex-felons, adults and youth need self validation first. Without all the hum dum, writing's a convenient, rewarding vehicle to spark a fire. A personal enhancement capable breeding success orientation.
  25. I recall, early on, brother Troy said you owned a Magazine publishing firm. How did that happen, were you exceptional?
