greed.  A whole lot of humans had better figure out how to stop depending on someone else to write that check.

Yep! Not sure if true but I've read  that is how Black People survived the Stock Market Crash in 1929 They didn't just sell their labor, they sold goods too -and since they weren't allowed to Bank they had cash!  But yes, trading needs to be back on the table.  I don't mean bartering either but trading for goods and services like the stock exchange.

People participate in the economy as holders of assets, not as employees.  We definitely need to pivot!

Oh, it’s not a rationalization it’s a realization. It is happening right before my eyes. I don’t think there’s much you and I can do about it.

On it’s present trajectory AI will take over anything that humans can creatively produce. That includes this websites, Literature, music, art, movies…

Well, it depends today people are looking at YouTube videos to do all kinds of home maintenance. The AI will just make it easier. Then there are AI powered robots, 60 minute show one working in the factory.

Hey man, have you seen the Richard Feynman AI videos. I guess they’re my feed because I watched that Feynman documentary a couple of times. I don’t like the videos because I can’t trust that he actually said the things he’s saying. I listened to one about 30 minutes and it was very interesting but still I can’t trust it.

But why the heck would you continue down a path where it is weak?

Because after spending so much time with it, I know that I can almost always get the answer I need. Sometimes it’s modifying the prompt or providing information that you don’t want it to forget. Again, I can give it a 500 word prompt with some pretty involved tasks and Gemini will respond brilliantly and sometimes I can give it a prompt. That’s just one sentence and it’ll make a mistake.

Feynman was born in NYC. Whenever he spoke you could hear that he was the City. So when I heard the British accident I was done. I have to say it is getting harder to tell the difference.

And that is the scary part. This is why journalism is exceedingly important — paramount. If say, The New York Times publishes something an article, a video, a podcast you can take it for granted that they did there best to vet sources and tell the truth.

But even this is in jeopardy Jeff Bezos owns the Washington Post, any prevented them from endorsing Kamala Harris, when you have multi billionaires controlling the editorial content of  media, that poses a real danger in an AI world.

On YouTube unless it’s a source that I trust I’m not watching the video.

The rich & powerful have been controlling the world for a long time now.

AI will make it easier for the powerful people  to control the masses:

1) constrict employment

2) control information

3) make humans useless

Not selfishly but I'm glad I won't be subjected to the world as it will be in a decade or so.

I'll be fine whichever way it goes but younger folks may not be as well off.😎

I don't disagree but dang sometimes GEN AI can be ridiculous especially Gemini.  I was fighting with it and it deteriorated. I skipped over to ChatGPT to get my images done right.  By the way, NotebookLM produced the slickest Pitch Deck ever.  I see now that each version has its strength.-

I'm slightly curious to know if Gemini or ChatGPT or any other AI or LLM companies are black-owned entities.

I know there is no shortage of Black computer programmers, engineers, scientists & mathematicians, etc., running around.😎

Yes.

Gemni is much better at working my website.  I've completely overhauled it an am now working on new features, but sometimes it is really frustrating.  Right now I'm wrestling with the account login feature.

I'm not aware of any.  The dominance of those that exist make it impossible for any new entrants unless that are back by a government.  How do you compete with someone who can build a data center in low earth orbit.

Not surprising considering the training data -- our culture 😉

@ProfD here's what ChatGPT had to say and I verified through YouTube and Medium.

If the question is “Are there Black-owned AI companies using Gen-AI?” — yes, many.
If the question is “Are there Black-founded frontier model labs like OpenAI or Anthropic?” — not yet at hyperscale.

But there are early-stage labs building toward that future, especially Lelapa AI and CDIAL AI, which are developing language datasets and models — exactly the stage OpenAI started at before becoming a frontier lab.

The barrier isn’t talent; it’s access to billions in capital and compute required to train foundation models.

That is exactly what I'm working on because the fee structured tools are already available.  The challenge is when Black people have  low self-esteem and want to be in the "room" so bad so they appear for the brain drain nstead of saying, "I'll appear. My speaking fee is..." or I'll license my systems and frameworks for X dollars."  Once we get paid we can finance our on Labs.

Black people getting pimped made America great, that includes South America.

This is Troy.

First you must understand ability and intellect have very little to do with success in America.  Being born with wealthy and a willingness to be evil is a much better indicator of success for white folks. For Black folks the ability to entertain white folks is a much better predictor of financial success.

As @Delano implied getting pimped is what made america great. Being pimped who how a Black person get rich.
