I have been thinking that it is importance to have a pastime, something you can do that is low involvement. TV or reading. And also a hobby, something that requires active involvement. I feel that not only do they improve your quality of life but also cultivate the character.

Activities that engage you physically have a different feel than just mental ones. I would be more specific inclined to agree if you had said writing. Since you are reading someone else's experience instead of creating your own.

Sometimes you are lucky to get passive mental engagement.

I agree wholeheartedly, but would ask you to reconsider associating the active of reading with a "low involvement" activity. Reading is not a low involvement, because it requires active mental engagement. Reading is not a passive activity. If it were, far more people would be doing it. Watching TV, on the other hand, is a much more passive and low involvement activity any one can do it. You can do it while inebriated, high, tired, and even while engaged in another activity.

I guess I am. Was that an act of omission or commission? If it was commission then we need to quantify how big a market we are dealing with financially, because the dollar factor is the driving force. If it was omission, then it is important for them to learn the errors of their ways. One of the major objectives of the white paper would be to either define the contours of the ecosystem or educate ABA, Oprah and others about the importance of the BBE.. Paul's quote of you at the end seemed like he was calling on you to organize the next convo.

The Black Books Ecosystem needs a white paper defining it and it's prospects for the future.
