  1. (but anybody can respond obviously.....) If it's true that Black people make up the majority of those who commit murders, commit hate crimes, drain the social services system, and have out of wedlock births. What is YOUR solution to this problem? Now that the problem has been pointed out.....if in 10 or 20 or 30 years you see it isn't improving...then what IS the solution? What do you think should be done with our community as a whole?
  2. @GregThe broken record you won't take off the turntable is deteriorating into static. Furthermore, you are so insulated in what you consider a perfect life, that you actually believe that all problems have viable solutions and that logistics play no role in regulating human behavior. Also, although talk is cheap your words are no bargain. They are counterfeit. Be advised that social services are an industry. What the bottom half of society does, is create employment for those who work for the agencies and charities that minister to the indigent and downtrodden - and well coiffed, beautifully manicured baby mamas. Whatever. Welfare doesn't cost the nation nearly as much as the military industrial complex nor the tax breaks corporate America benefits from. A good conservative Republican mouth piece like you should appreciate the well-oiled coordination between the haves and the have-nots that keep this Capitalistic country running. Since you are so deep into shaming, you should focus on other areas of society that reek with white collar disgrace and corruption. But apparently your assignment is to stick to the script, and continue to hammer away at what a liability blacks are to the nation that has contributed to what many of them have become. Your lectures and reprimands accomplish nothing. You're not telling blacks anything that we don't already know. The problems remain because we are not miracle workers. And you, in your role of a conservative lackey, are a part of the problem, not the solution.
  3. @GregGlutton for punishment that I am, I have indigestion from being subjected to the myopia of your tunnel vision which also serves as an echo chamber for the typical black conservative narrative you parrot. Everything you lament about between the lines of your thinly-disguised white envy, is bracketed in the phrase "the black community". In your relentless critiques you persist in equating community with class. but I'm here to challenge your rhetoric. The types you rant about are only a portion of the "black community" and they fall under the sub-heading that sociologists categorize as the underclass, they are the people who abide in the "inner cities", a sanitized term for the "ghetto". To you, it's as though the black middle class which represents a different lifestyle within the black community, doesn't exist. But it does. You are not some rare paragon of virtue. There are millions of other blacks who your sordid scenarios don't describe. You're always admonishing people for not facing the truth and you need to follow your own advice. The black community is not a monolith! It is made up of different classes. But you won't be silenced in your campaign against absentee fathers and their baby mamas, droning the same ol tired solutions full of hot air that will never solidify. You will continue to argue that this problem and what it spawns is much worse among blacks. I, therefore, propose a cure-all for what is not just a black dilemma because what you disapprove of occurs among all ethnicities. Since males are the ones with whom the trouble begins, I suggest a law be passed to perform reversible vasectomies on all boy babies at birth. Sterilize them until such time as they have proven they are upstanding, gainfully-employed members of society ready for marriage, - a rite which will be preceded by an operation to reverse the vasectomy. And all will be right with the world... Of course the odds of this happening are zilch. So just get on with your squeaky clean rubber stamp life and shut up. What you envision for the black race is not realistic. Why? Because its members are what they are and this is not a perfect world. And, personally speaking, I'd rather belong to an interesting multi-faceted species who come in all varieties and who, in spite of so much adversity, have still retained a remarkable ability to enjoy themselves, - unlike a tight-ass square like you.
  4. I remember another time I was wrong. I had said something that upset you. I talked to my partner and she explained how it sounded to her and I apologised to you. One of the things I often say is everyone believes they are right until they know that they are wrong. I am interested in the exoteric and the esoteric. I have been interested in math and magic for as long as I can remember. I think part of the reason I am attracted to you, @Troy @Cynique is that you all have an openness to try and understand what is being said, and then you engage. I have lost the interest in trying to persuade someone to widen their viewpoint. That was disappearing when Cynique when into semi-retirement. Although yesterday I had various discussions with an avid Trump supporter. We generally have opposing viewpoints. Although I think I made one point that he felt and then understood. You can't judge people's choices unless you are in that situation. Interestingly that lead to this was him talking about Harlem gangsters. I had two personal stories of close contacts having interactions with well known Harlem Drug Lords.
  5. Mellody Hobson, the 53-year-old co-CEO and president of Ariel Investments, is believed to be the first Black woman to be publicly identified as part of an original ownership group purchasing an NFL team. Here's what Broncos Quarterback Russell Smith had to say about Hobson and the $4.6 Billion historic purchase.
  6. Above is a clip from the WSJโ€™s Future of Everything Festival. The festival was held in New York City on May 18, 2022. Here I answer the question, โ€œ...what is their biggest complaint about reading...?โ€ Watch the full 30-minute video: https://on.wsj.com/3NZbwrM I was a very cool event and I'm glad I was invited to participate. There was also a area where technology was displayed and demonstrated. I git a much better appreciation for technology and where is going. The technology will make it even easier for marketers and those with malintent to hack into your brain and control your thinking and behavior. We are not ready for this...
  7. A hate crime has a specific definition according to the FBI. Every crime committed against another group of people doesn't automatically qualify as a hate crime.๐Ÿ˜Ž
  8. It would appear that you are mistaken on the first count, and powerless in the second.
  9. How about winners are grinners and losers are boozers. or Those who have an aversion to success. May find that some of their wants and needs aren't currently being met.
  10. which is so often confused. say you have a position on a subject, learn more and change your position as a result. That is disparage today as, โ€œflip-flopping.โ€
  11. @Pioneer1 oh hon-ty, You should read my book! Or even have read my blog back in the day! Google kicked me out of the advertising program until I removed one of my posts. So let's be mindful of Troy's platform. Google AdSense frowns upon "let's talk about sox" topics. Most women I know aren't shy about sox or even talking about it. But think about it - we are all still learning when we're young. So it's anything that goes until you know what works. Now, if someone asked me back then or even now how many O's I have had... I'd wonder why he wanted to know and I would most likely be turned off. I've heard women my age and younger say "He ain't ready" and here's why. I learned early on that you can learn a lot about a man's approach to intimate encounters by his ability to hold a stimulating conversation about everything else. It seems to have something to do with intellect, an open mind and creativity. Compelling conversationalists always seem to bring heightened encounters. While climaxing is great, the best encounter can transpire over days...Sort of like the scene from Modern Problems with Chevy Chase and Patti D'Arbanville. I didn't know that was possible but I learned it is transcendent. I believe this is why many women seek out "sapiosexuals." With those types,a lot of O's happen while we're fully clothed. And usually that's just the beginning.
  12. I'm from a much older generation so i can't speak for what the current mind set is, just about what I recall from personal experience and girl talk back then. In my day, before viagra, most women didn't indulge in sex with the idea of achieving an earth-shattering climax. With us, sex was a process that included foreplay, sensual intimate contact with an appealing partner, and the afterglow that involved cuddling. Pillow talk was also a plus. An orgasm was just the icing on the cake. And since woman are capable of multiple orgasms at one time, on a good night we might be able to count on one hand what we experienced. What we all agreed on was that although alcohol lowered our inhibitions, it could interfere with a "passionate reaction".
  13. Do you have any videos or new paper articles confirming that all of these White Christians and Jews did all of this forgiving?
  14. @Delano this is so powerful and intimate! You took the time to "see" beyond you. A lot of people say that's "soft" but this is true strength! Thank you.
  15. I want to respect the OP's wishes that men refrain from commenting, but as Del alluded to....the women on this thread aren't commenting. Most women tend to be shy by nature, and that shyness or insecurity about doing and saying certain things is part of what makes them attractive. However I personally wish women...especially Black women globally...would be more honest and sincere about their feelings on sexuality It would have made things MUCH easier on me when I was younger if I had known exactly what most women wanted and were looking for instead of having to do "trial and error" with them.
  16. @richardmurrary: I don't know what part of the country you are originally from, or how old you are and this perhaps contributes to why I often have difficulty relating to what you say. I was born and raised in a suburb of Chicago in 1933 and grew up during the Great Depression. My parents were a part of the first wave of the great migration of blacks coming north to seek a "better life", my father arriving in Chicago from Kansas in 1912, and my mother from Tennessee in 1914. Since Juneteenth was a local holiday in Texas, it's very possible this regional celebration was not a tradition where my parents were from, which is why the observance of it was not included in what they told me about my family history which was, itself, black history. Since, back then, black history per se was not taught in the local schools I attended, I was not alone in being ignorant about this holiday until the 1960s when people from Texas moved to my hometown and just mentioned in passing the Juneteenth observance to us locals. And i might add that these Texans did not revive the tradition among themselves nor did they show any interest in establishing it as a tradition in their new location. They also displayed no surprise upon finding out how many people weren't aware of this holiday. The obvious reason for this was that Juneteenth was not a widespread celebration among the black population for a long time. And, to be truthful, although it makes for a good anecdote, it is not particularly significant in black history in general. and the fact of the matter is, that It has just recently became popular in a nation superficially catering to blacks. So maybe you should broaden your perspective and do less generalizing when you judge black parents on this matter.
  17. Greg, it's obvious that you're disappointed in and disgusted with black folks. Hopefully, you've been able to set your family up in a safe and healthy environment that you all will never come across the black folks you despise. There are plenty places in America with a less than 1% black population. Check out the great state of Wyoming. ๐Ÿ˜Ž
  18. @Troy, I know you got this in terms of figuring out the legitimate versus BS. The behavior you seek to understand is just an extension of racism within America. Whether it's a white person pretending to be black or a self-hating black person, they eventually *reveal* themselves and/or they disappear. Trolls and bots are like flies and mosquitoes at a cookout. ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿ˜Ž
  19. While we definitely have some issues within our ranks, black folks do not have a monopoly on dysfunction compared to any other group of people throughout the world. Folks would have no reason to immigrate from their home countries to the US if they were so responsible, structured and resourceful. The reason many immigrants cannot build a better life at in their home countries is dysfunction ( poverty, violence, political instability, poor infrastructure, etc.). ๐Ÿ˜Ž
  20. Asian *hate* crimes and the legislation that followed it is another slap in the face of black folks. There is no anti-black hate crime bill. The DOJ has to decide whether or not to charge the Buffalo shooter with a federal hate crime. Yet, if the same person shot up 10 Asians anywhere it would automatically be treated as an Asian hate crime. ๐Ÿ˜Ž
  21. As discussed in other threads here, black folks in America do not have agenda to which they can hold politicians accountable. That's why black folks get the table scraps and crumbs when it comes to politics. They haven't asked for any real sustenance. Just piggy-backing off whatever they've been told to want (jobs, education, healthcare, etc.). ๐Ÿ˜Ž
  22. Go back to that thread and read those comments from the both of you very carefully. She did forgive someone, but it was on a personal matter. She did not forgive the alleged Buffalo shooter.
