  1. Are Men Instinctively Different Than Women? I am thinking about this topic due to the thread Pioneer posted about male attractivness versus female attractiveness. I think this is a very broad subject that has expanded over time especially due to western civilization. Today, this idea is extremely varied especially amongst the African American culture from past to present. In America, our culture is based upon the set up of chattel slavery but overtime, it has become diverse. But in the Old World, meaning 'the Mediterranean World', I think that the roles of males were much more defined as being distinct from the roles of females. I think that in the Old World, the role of a male was based on being 'an husbandman' meaning, A PROVIDER. A man was expected to be able to provide in various ways, such as shelter, agriculture, sex and reproduction, etc. And women were expected to be supporters in nurturing the offspring, cooking, making clothes, etc. and also sex too. But today, in the western world and due to slavery, I think a lot of Black women have lost trust in men, in general, not just Black men, but men in general. Some Black women are more resentful against Black men though, IMO. But nevertheless, I still believe that there are a significant number of Black women who still respect the presence of males. Even though, too, the standards have been changed today, a lot of the reasons why is positive. Women became severely oppressed in patriarchal societies therefore, the western influence in freeing up women to have better human rights is a positive step in the advancement of humanity. However, we have a ways to go for complete equality. And, all in all, I think that when we completely ignore the naturaly aspect of male and females, it will be a confusion. I believe that, instinctively, there is a uniqueness in males versus females but I can't say that I completely understand it. I think that instinctively, males are going to respond to being providers and protectors, no matter what and even if women don't think they need that kind of persona, it is going to occur. And, I believe that it is the same in all cultures and human 'races' globally. All males tend to act the same in this regard. And so, here are some short videos to show this kind of instinct. Some of them are a little humorous:
  2. Obama did NOT help with providing sufficient food, clothing, shelter or medical care for Black people on any significant scale. @Pioneer1 And, I am not concered with homosexuals and their activities, however, I am concerned with Pedofiles though in this regard. He neither Trumps time in office helped Black people significantly, imo. I can see this as a benefit!
  3. Never thought of this reality and commonality in that all three of these countries share. Amazing observation @richardmurray! You know, I would have thought that America would incorporate their history in Europe a little better than they do in our educational system. I find it so fascinating about the earlier people in Europe such as the Celts and Gauls, and so many others long before the Europeans migrated into this country and became unique.
  4. I just read your report. It has not occurred to me to research the writer Bixby. If it is interesting read that he was near death, maybe the film appeals to me even more as i now consider my own mortality. Iโ€™m old enough to have seen peopleโ€™s entire lives go byโ€ฆ I see from @richardmurrayโ€™sv coverage Bixby wrote for Star Trek and The Twilight Zone. The twilight zone episode was from a short story that was in this 1953 book, which i just brought i canโ€™t wait to read it.
  5. WASHINGTON, DC, July 14, 2023 โ€“ Author Jeh Allen announced the launch of the first book in his BLACK Novel Series. The book, The Bear on Our Backs, is currently available for purchase through am*zon. The main character in the series, Jason Black, is an elite, black American sprinter who is vying to compete for gold in the 100-meter dash at the 2016 Rio Summer Olympic Games. But his preparation for these games is interrupted when he is forced to defend himself against Roscoe Baker, the white security guard that holds him at gunpoint during a late-night response to a neighborhood disturbance. Fearing for his life, Jason stabs Baker with his sling blade knife โ€“ which he always has at the ready โ€“ and when he is apprehended after several weeks on the run, he is the one charged with attempted murder, with Baker offering up a Standing My Ground defense. Jason nervously awaits the announcement and subsequent start of a jury trial that, if lost, would make him the new face of black criminality. However, while lodged at the black-owned and operated Sojourner Vista Resort and Conference Center, Jason has an epiphany about what he and other black athletes, intellectuals and entrepreneurs can do to reconstruct black labor today for the jobs of tomorrow. But standing in his way is Malcolm Stillwell, a 76-year-old, white businessman from Manhattan, New York, who wants to use interest in Jasonโ€™s court case to sow racial division and hate as he vies for the Republican Partyโ€™s presidential nomination. Unbeknownst to Jason, securing the United States presidency is nothing more than a start for Stillwell, as he and agents of the shadowy Confederate States of America escalate their infiltration of the Republican Party in their ongoing effort to use governmental powers to resurrect the Confederate South. BLACK: The Bear on Our Backs was published on July 12, 2023, and is 325 pages in length. ABOUT THE AUTHOR Jeh Allen is a Creative Writer whose views and opinions are informed by his reading of seminal texts by prominent authors of all racial hues, as well as his lived experiences. A persistent optimist, he is always holding out hope that humanityโ€™s better angels will prevail. He calls the Washington, DC/Metropolitan area home. 6. Chev I can believe that. I've heard from some trusted sources that most of the modern Native Americans of today are actually a mixture of 2 different races who occupied the Americas at a certain point. The very dark Black folks of India with the straight hair ......and the yellow skinned Asians from places like China and Korea. While some tribes stayed separate , they eventually mixed and this was for hundreds if not thousands of years but the racism and foul living of the Asian Native Americans got to be too much for the Black ones and they started not t get along.
  7. Chev I figured they'd keep HER out of public....especially now. They don't want you to see how nearly ALL White folks used to live until we civilized them. When White folks lose their civility and go wild....they go WILD. Stop washing their ass or brushing their teeth and you can smell them from 2 blocks away with all of that mangled up hair on their bodies. Infact, both the men AND the women get DINGLE-BERRIES when they haven't taken a shower in a while because of all that hair and oily skin. Black folks almost never get that bad, no matter how bummy they live. The worse a Black person will get is ashy or musty, but they won't have doo doo caked up on them like about a quarter of the White folks you see walking around here.
  8. Men and Women different? Of course they are! Men are from MARS and women are from VENUS. Remember? On the other hand, when it comes to same sex relationships, take the "variations on a theme" in your stride. Like everything else, nature undergoes a trial and error process. Nothing will evolve that prevents the species from replicating itself. Then, there's the conspiracy theory about the feminization of black men, and the one about weaponizing them to eliminate each other via black-on-black crime. These plots cancel each other out, and would be more trouble than it's worth for the White Supremecists. imo. Stop worrying about the perennial problems that plague the human race in general, and the black one, in particular. Just live your best lives. Artificial Intelligence and the Climate will soon diminish Life as we know it - for everybody. ๐Ÿ˜œ And so it goes...
  9. We have a ring of garbage around the earth. And we have to grow fish on farms. Climate change is so a problem. Sounds bad to me. And there's talk that admitting Ukraine into NATO could start World War III.
  10. @Chevdove well in terms of history, remember one key thing. France or england have one great historical commonality with the usa, all three are not indigenous. All three are born from the invaders side their enslaved who over a long bloody, raping, fucking history, create a community that makes a mythology of itself based on lies. @ProfD Netflix for most of its history was unprofitable financially and has learned how challenging it is to profit when you don't own a lot of well known content or have the industry to expose globally
  11. @Troy Did black people need to be shown different sides of the black militancy argument or non blacks? My comment is erroneous in terms of suggesting positive promotion of black militancy in the usa was the purpose of the film uptight. In my mind uptight wasn't meant to positively promote black militancy in the usa either, though how people relate to any artwork is open. In my mind the key is definitions or details when it comes to any of the many strategy based tribes in the black village in the usa. in my mind again, the definitions or details or particular populaces in the usa matter when it comes to how the usa relates to one of said populaces. @ProfD for the record my position isn't based on a thesis or idea, it is based on historical fact, not a thesis. It doesn't warrant interpretation @Chevdove most film historians, who spend their entire lives watching films, at best have seen one percent of all films made. And that doesn't include the films that are unavailable through demolition or withering over the many years. Like books, like music, no one can experience it all in a lifetime, too many works have been made. Most people haven't heard of or seen most films. The question is who selects and who presents? And it is no shame for a black person in a white country to not have control over the selection or presentation.
  12. Every generation thinks the future will be worse off. Human beings are adaptable creatures. The children will be fine. They no longer write in cursive. No pretty handwriting or signature. Everything is printed. But, the younger folks can type and work the h8ll outta of a cell phone, tablet or computer almost before they can walk and talk.๐Ÿ˜ I predict the future generation of humans beings won't any more or less confused than the current or past generation. There's nothing new under the sun. ๐Ÿ˜Ž
  13. I've never heard of this film.
  14. 1 point
As I mentioned in another thread, most wealth is in the cloud. A paranoid billionaire couldn't have a Brinks truck pull up and drop all of their money in the front yard.๐Ÿคฃ It's conceivable that the US treasury could produce large denomination bank notes for such individuals. Otherwise, as long as Oprah cannot touch or cash in her wealth, she's a mouse click away from losing it all especially if she p8sses off white folks. Remember how Kanye's fortune dropped like the Dow Jones over that claim of antisemitism. Death Row Records was worth hundreds of millions of dollars. Someone bought it for pennies on the dollar when it was sold at auction. Oprah's business assets are worth a few billion dollars as long as she's cooperative and white folks are in agreement. My house is only worth a half million dollars as long as someone is wiling to pay that much for it.๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜Ž
  15. I watched Uptight last night and I thought it was a very good film. The acting was a bit over the top, but enjoyable, nonetheless. @richardmurray I read conintelpro had agents working the film. This tells me the film was definitely of potential benefit to the black community. I thought the film did a good job illustrating the conflict in the Black community surrounding militancy. Frank Silvera, character Kyle's oppoiation to The Councils tactics showed this. I too wish the film were "smarter," but given the time, the constraints, the FBI I think the final product is commendable. Janet MacLachlan who played Jeannie passed in 2010 (she was older than my mother!) Now that was a fine sista! ๐Ÿฅฐ I liked Roscoe Lee Brown's gay character. His scene in the police station was priceless. Booker T and The MG's did the original score. @Pioneer1 man, I wish I had a list of good films to watch queued up, but I don't. I used to this like with music they rarely make a good film, but they do the problem is discoverability as it is with books. That said last weekend I watched, A Thousand and One. It was very good film too (obviously IMHO) It was released in theaters in March of this year, but I did not learn about it until this weekend, scrolling through movies to watch on my Chromecast. The lead actress, Teyana Taylor is easy on the eyes too ๐Ÿ˜
  16. @Pioneer1 Absolutely! This was the plan, to define this as being 'a black issue' when it was started by the Greeks. It had nothing to do with Africa. This is why I never voted for Obama. This federal movement was instituted during his term. And, I heard that he was not raised by his father. He was raised by his grandfather, who was a White man and who was also a troubled man due to his own childhood. I just can't believe that Black America fell for this trap. And it's not only here in America and AFrica where they are trying to define Black Americans as being homosexuals but it's global. Just recently, I heard that there are many schools in Europe named after the activist ANGELA DAVIS and she is a homosexual. One high school, was changed from being called Angela Davis high school to Rosa Parks HIgh school, in France.
