  1. I was in Tijuana for a day, it's a different vibe than Mexico City. While there are some old buildings there are skyscrapers as well. Also even though the city has lots of stone blocks everywhere. It still is very active. Because of all the market stalls and food vendors. They even have police just for tourists.
  2. President-elect Donald Trump stunned the Pentagon and the broader defense world by nominating Fox News host Pete Hegseth to serve as his defense secretary, tapping someone largely inexperienced and untested on the global stage to take over the worldโ€™s largest and most powerful military. If Putin cannot beat a comedian in more than two years he will be terrified by a Fox News host. ROFLMBAO .

The whole thing feels like a coin toss, depending on the agent you get and their mood that day! I had a similar experience recently with my disposable weed pen. I figured since it was "disposable" it might be fine, but still, I had that tiny 1% of doubt when passing through security. Sure enough, they pulled me aside for extra screening, which was a little nerve-wracking. Same story with vape pensโ€”theyโ€™re easy to grab, but when it comes to the airport, even the smallest things like toothpaste or a vape can spark random hassle.
  4. Teaching our children how to read as early as possibly should be a top priority in our community. My Mother taught me how to read at 3 years old, even before entering school....and I've loved reading ever since.

  6. https://techxplore.com/news/2024-11-output-generative-ai-doesnt-coherent.html AI may not live up to its hype. That's a chasm that it can't cross. Since most of our thinking is at the subconscious and unconscious level.
  7. This is the post that made me think about the cumulative effects of magical intentions
  8. It is really curious how encountering "the right book" can turn years of schooling on it's head. The Screwing of the Average Man (1974) by David Hapgood รทรทรทรทรทรทรทรทรทรทรทรทรทรทรทรทรทรทรทรทรทรทรท 5 star review posted in 2015 When I read this book back in 1981, it opened my eyes to the "way life is". It is the most insightful book I have ever read on the subject of personal economics in the real world. Enlightened my scepticism. I naturally drifted into a college major in economics because of the way I thought after this book. It didn't make me rich, but I'm one of those people who likes to have a clear focal point of view. รทรทรทรทรทรทรทรทรทรทรทรทรทรทรทรทรทรทรทรทรทรทรทรทรท The system depends on controlled ignorance but the suckers must BELIEVE in the System.

Same here @Troy. I'm always tuned into @aka Contrarian as well as other regulars here too. I am hoping to slow down and lounge here longer but I'm so busy right now. I see @Mel Hopkins has commented here and love to read her too and others as well. It's so good to hear the opinions of the men in this community but aka Contrarian seems to hit the spot! Even when she is 'contrary', nevertheless, she nails it for me.

First let me share how I define Lucid Dreaming. And yes, I'm aware of my dreams - and I recall them and write them down. I had one this morning because I thought about how some celebrities hire stylists to put their looks together. So before I awoke, I summoned two stylists from my dream to get an idea of how I could update my style. I usually allow myself to do this often when I need direction or course correction. I hadn't thought about it until you asked. ๐Ÿคฏ

Both you and @frankster make excellent points. I took a puff when I was a teen - and never took another puff. I'm like @ProfD in this respect. I need to be in control of all my faculties at all times. I don't even drink wine in public. Still, if it was natural marijuana, I wouldn't judge anyone who smoked it. I've always been able to naturally leave this dimension, but some people need assistance to with the connect with the DIVINE - so who am I to judge?

Bro, I'll be lounging in this easy chair until the lights are turned out and/or I'm evicted.๐Ÿคฃ Despite the limited participation, there is good discussion here from all of the contributors. I find this forum to be a good mix of opinion, information, knowledge and humor too. Some music like Jazz is an acquired taste and therefore appeals to a smaller audience. McDonald's isn't the the most nutritious food but it sells because it's cheap. Same thing applies to most forms of social interaction and entertainment. Anything that requires a deeper level of thought, comprehension or expression is a heavier lift. OTOH, gossip and trash talk is usually where the goats can get it. Cheaper entertainment.๐Ÿ˜Ž

Never. Saw the destructive effects of drug use among family members and friends. I have to be in control of my faculties at all times. I've never been a follower either. Always marched to the beat of my own drum.๐Ÿ˜Ž
