  1. The argument about penis size as it relates to the sex act, seems to be ongoing; "the bigger the better" being the consensus. But, I suspect there are no figures to support that claim, just as there is no concrete evidence that large penises are an inborn trait of black males, thereby making them better sex partners. And the point made in the girl-talk discussions I've been privy to for over 50 years has always been, it's not what you have, but what you do with what you have. Technique and good staying power favorably compete with a large member which can cause pain and injury. Interestingly enough, "width" got just as good marks as "length", making short thick penises an asset. Average-sized ones also made the cut. Nor was it unusual for tiny ones to show up among black men. But here again, technique was the thing, with sensuous foreplay and intimate cuddling serving as icing on the cake, along with being a good kisser. And, then, there's oral sex... Everybody pretty much knows all the aforementioned factors are important when it comes to intercourse so, imo, the reason the hype about penis size continues, is the apparent need for black men to have something to brag about. Maybe they can't be a CEO in the board room, but they can at least be a stud in the bedroom, an idea that supposedly excites the fancy of white women, the ultimate prize so many brothas have their eye on. I don't know how accurate the following is, nor do I care if anyone disagrees with my take on what I previously said, but my current sources tell me that the 2025 mindset of many single women weary of tryin to navigate the dating scene is that they'd rather eschew the hassle, curl up at home in bed, and munch on a snack while watching a good movie on TV, a vibrator readily available. zzzzzzzzz
  2. The yearlong celebration will begin with a kickoff event in the capitol of Columbus and close in Morrison’s hometown of Lorain. Partners in every county of the state will hold individual events including readings and discussions of her writing, talks with authors and important figures that Morrison influenced, school activities and writing contests, film screenings and performances inspired by her work, and much more. 3. It's about time we agreed on SOMETHING...lol. "Gimme five...." If you wanted to treat ME back in the 70s, 80s, or 90s....just take me to a Church's Chicken and buy me some of that greasy ass chicken, a couple corn on the cobs, and a back of their, jalapeno peppers. I'll shovel snow, cut grass, rake leaves, beat somebody up....lol....whatever you needed....lol.
  4. KFC is just a rebranding thing many copies of done this UPS, CVS, AALBC, etc. KFC may be selling hormone infused, genetically modified, frankenchickens, but I'm sure it is still "chicken." I don't eat not because I don't think it is chicken, it just does not taste as good as it used to -- virtually every other chicken including any ghetto chicken takeout joint is better than KFC.
  5. Oh, and I left off @aka Contrarian great sense of humor and wit. I have no way od assessing Jim Jone's intellect, but we know he was nuts. AKA is not crazy. You also missed one important characteristic of mine: I'm not a follower. When I was a kid I could fall prey to peer pressure, like many kids, but as an adult I do my own thing 🙂
  6. ROTFLMBAO! Whenever I read that first line you seem to have influenced for I laughed out loud! Dude are you serious? If so, I think you’re being overly sensitive. Have you considered that my disagreement with you are based upon the nature of your comments I guess at the most basic level is your use of stereotypes particularly as they relate to the social constructive race. The fact of the matter is there would be no discussion forum without @Pioneer1 or @aka Contrarian period. “Da Bears” always reminds me of best Saturday Night Live skit 🙂 it has been 40 years since Chicago has won a championship. They got a good chance to make the Super Bowl this year. My Giants suck this year so I can’t say anything. Good luck to the Bears.
  7. LOL Yeah right! I just never knew someone who admitted to looking at other men’s penises in the locker room. Did you have a clipboard with you? @frankster i’m actually surprised by you. I do not comment on posts or information that I have not actually read. I suspect you did not read the information @Pioneer1 shared. If you did, it doesn’t look like you understood it. I’ll explain. First, you have to recognize that Pioneer often shares information that does not support his conclusions; on more than one occasion, information pioneer shared actually conflicted with the point he was trying to make. Back to the information pioneer shared; first, it does not rise to the level of a “study” It is just information that has been cobbled together indeed, the people who published it said to take the information with the grain of salt. It is not proof nor do the people who published the information assert as such. Second, and most importantly, it is not a report of penis size by race! Nowhere in the report they even mention this. That is a conclusion that Pioneer has incorrectly drawn and is now an asserting as proof. What is surprising Frankster is that you have cosigning this nonsense. When you are fixated on the relative penis size of people with different skin color you will be profoundly confused about a wide variety of things. Pioneer is incorrigible. I don’t expect him to understand this one iota. But I saw something different in you, Frankster perhaps I was wrong.☹️
  8. As the late Senator John McCain once said on the campaign trail when a woman tried to character assassinate POTUS Obama, "no...we're not going to do that...(s)he's a decent person".😁 Just as you are my virtual brotha, the person to whom you're referring is my virtual sista too.😁 I still claim her in spite of accusing me of being misogynistic and a Black supremacist and delusional as it relates to what Black folks should do under the system of racism whte supremacy.🤣 Regardless of whether or not we agree on anything or disagree on everything and any debate in between, we're AALBC virtual family. Like siblings, we have to be prepared to roll with or take the punches as good as we give them.😎
  9. More than one reader has contacted me asking how I managed to explicitly portray the Great Dismal Swamp in “Escape To The Maroons.” Since that was my intent, I’ll take the compliment. But after visiting the place, I don’t know that any writer can truly describe how extreme surviving there must have been. When I traveled to Virginia and spent a day touring the Great Dismal Swamp National Wildlife Refuge, a Ranger drove me around to show me several highlights, including Lake Drummond. Today’s footprint of the swamp is significantly smaller than during the 1791 period I write about. Commercial interests have encroached along the borders by filling in wetlands. Inside the still massive swamp are roads, walking trails, and canals. Swarms of mosquitoes and other biting insects, twenty-one kinds of snakes, and a variety of predators still abound. When working in the field during spring, the Ranger told me that she had to wear two Tyvek suits and fully cover her face. Due to springtime mosquitoes, on a warm day, she would be soaked in twenty minutes. At the end of our tour, I headed away, parked the rental car at a random spot, and took off walking. Quickly, I was slogging through patches of water, pushing aside bushes, and seeing nothing but miles of the same as far as my eyes could see. The same topography confronted fleeing slaves. Likely with a bounty hunter on their tail, in what direction should one even go? There were mosquitoes back on the plantation, but here they are so thick that at times it’s hard to see through their cloud. How does one begin to find anyone in this 2,000-square-mile morass? It didn’t take long before I was back in the car, blasting the AC, and scratching my bites. What first attracted me to the story of these amazing people had just been reinforced, and today’s conditions are not nearly as foreboding as in the pre-1800s. Take your life today. Could things ever get so desperate that you would consider fleeing to a place like the picture above? Maybe you are carrying a sack with some spare clothes, a bit of food, a water gourd, and perhaps a hatchet you stole. At that moment, what might anyone feel and think facing that endless expanse? To escape the brutality of slavery, what choice was there other than to walk ahead? Some died before they found people to help them? Somehow, the network of Maroon residents and Indigenous Natives often found new runners and took them in. As one Maroon resident said about that first step, no matter how bad it looked ahead, this place meant freedom. In my book, the Great Dismal Swamp had to be as much of a character as any of the individuals I wrote about.
  10. @Pioneer1 and @aka Contrarian...whether you all ever agree or not, the back and forth dialog between you two is worth the price of admission. I certainly enjoy reading it.😁 Your contributions keep the forum going especially since fewer folks post compared to a few years ago.😎
  11. It's the same with the movie Glory, another one of my favorites. It's been a favorite of mine since it came out back in 1990 and it seems that with each passing decade of wisdom I gain more insight and have more appreciation for difference scenes in that movie.
  12. What Troy just posted is on point. And, the demograph for the "Wicked" franchise is not black people. Young black girls are not flocking to theaters to see this latest film fantasy. Nor is there any great interest in it by the black population in general. To them, it's just another Disneyesque Hollywood fantasy like "Sleeping Beauty" or "Shrek". They ain't paying no money to go see it. Pioneer overestimates the gullibilty of black folks as well as the deviousness of Hollywood whose primary goal is profit; not promoting racism. Attributing racial overtones to this movie's subliminal message is a stretch saturated with paranoia. Cynthia and Ariana have admitted they have an affectionate, gender based, non binary relationship. So what else is new? In today's social climate this is not an eyebrow raiser. Who cares if this is their "thing"? Hollywood has always been a freak show. But, as usual, the Strawman has to manufacture a hysterical scenario in an attempt to substantiate his far-fetched argument characterizing some bald headed green skin character as a racist surrogate for a black person. For the person with a hammer, every issue is a nail. Much ado about nothing.
  13. Are Cynthia and Ariana queer? That might explain the off screen “relationship.” As far as the movie poster, if you don’t know anything about the movie and haven’t seen it how can you comment about the poster? I have not seen the movie, but I’ve seen the play and I’ve seem to remember the green witch being a sympathetic character and ultimately a positive one. Yeah, I do think you’re making too much of the poster. For one the character is green with straight hair. So unless you’re going to bat for our green brother and sisters, I don’t understand what you’re complaining about. This movie, the least of our worries. And Cynthia Evio is a net positive for the black community in my opinion.
