  2. This is America.... I cannot think of any country that is coming to collect on the debt. They won't even call America up on the phone for a good explanation or payment arrangements or anything else.

  3. ProfD If that box is TOO beat up....I'm MOVING without STICKING, lol. When you're trying to operate a machine, tell me what can be more frustrating than trying to put a plug in a socket that's too damaged or worn out to grip it and hold it?

  5. I wil preface my feedback to this tripe with the annoincement that due to a plethora of problems with forgottrn passwords, a new e-mail address, hackers and entanglements, and an obsolete computer, in order to post on this site using my android phone, I have had to lay to rest my "Cynique" user name and resurrect her as "Contrarian". It's like I outlived my old identity after reaching age 90, but for some ungodly reason my spirit is still loitering around, as skeptical and cynical as ever, thanks to the dire state of the world in general and African Americans in particular. Skimming through some of the long tedious posts on this site reminds me why I go on frequent hiatus. Hot air exhausts me. But I digress. (Nobody cares what I think and the feeling is mutual.) Since I've divorced myself from the black race I can say without reservation that what the tight-assed suck up Jeromex, regurgitates is true. This victim of the Stockholm syndrome which has reduced him to a groveling minion who has become besotted with his oppressors, is now eager to take their side and bad mouth niggas. So he says what black folks don't want to hear because the truth hurts, and is something we only want to hear about the blue eyed devils - whose dirty deeds excuse ninjas for not doing right because white people are evil and stupid too. So there. America the beautiful - the land of equal opportunity. No wonder Trump is leading in the polls.

  6. I learned of Plummer's passing (January 15, 2023) through an email sent to me today which included the following article published in Our Time Press. This is an important article. Plummer's passing did not get national coverage, but she deserved it. A Google search shows coverage by Indie Black-owned publications -- which we have to support (subscribe to one). If you are from the New York City area, you will be familiar (or should be) with many of the names mentioned. These are the people on the front lines fighting for us, not just locally, but globally. Mainstream media will completely ignore our true warriors in favor of rants of dysfunction Black celebrities--giving them outsized influence distorting how we, as a people are viewed and even how we view ourselves. Largely unsung they fight on. Like another Brooklyn warrior, Shirley Chisholm, Plummer was "unbought and unbossed." May she rest in peace. by Nayaba Arinde (a friend of Sister Plummer, is editor-at-large for Our Time Press.) On the day after the January 15th death of Viola Plummer, friends and family gathered at her Sista’s Place jazz and community venue in Bed-Stuy, to commune, reminisce, and share food prepared by Attorney Esmeralda Simmons and others. Tears were held, but barely. Toasts were made to bless her journey, as her favorite song The Commodores ‘Heroes’ played in the background. “Viola Plummer was the last of the five original core founders of the December 12th Movement: Sonny Abubadika Carson, Coltrane Chimurenga, Elombe Brath, and Father Lucas, they are all gone now,” activist Omowale Clay told Our Time Press. A snowstorm swept through New York City on Dr. Martin Luther King Day, Monday, January 15th, 2024, as news broke of the passing of activist Viola Plummer, 86, co-founder of the Bed Stuy, Brooklyn-based civil and human rights organization, The December 12th Movement…. 7. I met Dexter King once. He was honored by Syracuse University, some years ago. Interestingly, I also saw, but did not meet, his mom Corretta Scott King and his grand-father Daddy King speak at Syracuse University. Not too shabby for an HWCU--despite the craziness going on there today.
