  1. AfroAmericans aren't codified well enough to offer anything here. Right. I'd like to know why AfroAmericans didn't build a whole bunch of sh8t starting in the 1970s. Yep. Mainly because AfroAmericans haven't built strategic alliances there. AfroAmericans do not own a whole country of land and natural resources. Africans have it. They make the rules there too. I know why Prince Akeem and Semmi came here: Otherwise, this Uber driving sh8t and working in nursing homes doesn't add up.
  2. Africans do have whole countries they could develop and thrive instead of fleeing to white countries and working for them. It would be great if Africans had their home countries on lock and built real strategic alliances with AfroAmericans as investors. We're not there yet.
  3. Bumpy Johnson was a legend in his world. Not exactly a Civil Rights icon. That's why we don't hear much about him.
  4. Drop those same folks in the middle of a KKK rally and let's what they call them. Gopd luck. Many intelligent people are less interested in pro-creating and would rather make money and enjoy their lives without attachments. Of course, less intelligent people have more time for physical education, er, recreation.
  5. Most Africans are looking for a better life so they'll keep their heads down and work to stack paper. They accept racism as part of the cost. Africans actually love AfroAmericans but 1) media propaganda has led them to believe the worst about AfroAmericans and 2) in a warped way they feel like AfroAmericans should do more to help them despite the fact that they sold and left us here. As I've mentioned before, there's a heavy African presence in my family. Some of them had to be re-educated. The most beautiful thing is being able to show Africans that many AfroAmericans are doing very well. We're not as dysfunctional as white folks have led them to believe. Don't get it twisted...tethers do exist. We gotta keep their heads ringing or they'll stay on that BS.
  6. Right. I speak the language of country in which I was born. As my birthplace, this country is just as much mines as it anyone else who wants to claim this raggedy sumab8tch. Otherwise, I don't owe white folks anything for where I happened to show up on the planet. Interestingly enough, folks wirh their own languages also learn how to speak English. Speaking a common language makes it easier to do business and get that bread and other benefits around the world.
  7. Exercise in futility. Live your best life right now with no regrets. Tomorrow isn't promised. Probably not. Beyond 80 years old s8x won't be a priority. Keeping up with medications and teeth and avoiding incontinence will be major challenges. Even if you can still function finding a partner will be difficult unless you have money in your pocket. A trick will do something strange for some change.
  8. No sir. I don't owe them sh8t. Got my receipts too.
  9. @aka Contrarian, always glad to read whenever you decide to pop back in to chop it up with us. I'm still sitting in this proverbial easy chair here serving up source material ripe for your contrarianism. On the technical side, I'm wondering if it's possible to restore access to your Cynique profile and merge it with this new one. just a thought. Nonetheless, this place isn't the same without your input. I look forward to reading it as time permits.
  10. Right. Most people aren't free because they have been indoctrinated into one or more groups whether it's ideological, social, religious, political, etc. A mental soup of that sh8t is a gumbo resulting in sheep and lemmings. Granted, there's nothing inherently wrong with belonging to a group(s) as long as one maintains the ability to think independently.
  11. Freedom of choice is real. Unfortunately, many people try to validate themselves by social status and/or material possessions and other things. Companies go to great lengths in pushing their brand and products. It's all about making money. Strong advertising campaigns and paid models and product placement is enough to convince people they need the *best*. Socially, many will fall into groups that share similar thoughts and beliefs. Religion and politics are two areas that heavily influence group think. Critical thinkers amd strong-willed people march to the beat of their own drum unfazed by the *noise* trying to get them to buy into things and beliefs.
  12. No thanks. Be neither a lender nor a borrower. I don't believe in owing anybody anything. White folks have master the art of deceit. That's how they've spread colonialism and imperialism.
  13. That was almost 30 years ago. Ever since, there hasn't been a Minister Farrakhan equivalent in the Black community. No leadership.
  14. Yep. It's definitely a politically motivated witch hunt. DA Fani Willis has a net worth of $8M. She didn't need for Nate Wade or anybody else to pay for her on a trip. To Democrats and pro-Women's groups and everybody else who pretends to be an ally, they're silent because Black folks are their tools. Eventually, those tools get broken.
  15. DA Fani Willis' hearing is happening this week. Hopefully she won't get booted off the case and/or lead to charges being dropped against Orange Julius.
  16. As I mentioned in another thread, it's not about getting all Black folks codified. I know we're not a monolithic group.
  17. White folks give money to all types of sh8t. It makes them feel better about themselves. Those white folks looked at you no differently than one of those bloated belly big head children with flies on their faces in a Save The Children commercial. In a penitentiary, the last thing you want to do is take gifts. Nothing is free. There's no telling how the lender wants that debt repaid. White folks have been f8cking Black folks for a long time running.
  18. Bro, if it was that easy folks would have been getting checks since the 1960s. They can only exert their *power* as white folks allow them. Look no further than what's going on in Georgia right now. The Black DA is close to being booted off the case and possibly leading to charges being dropped against the orange former POTUS. Black folks have to become codified before we can do anything major.
  19. @Pioneer1, since you're already familiar with the teachings of NF Jr. Two word come to mind....race suspects. White folks have been playing good cop bad cop against Black folks for as long as the system of racism has existed. If white folks really wanted to help Black folks they would dismantle the system of racism themselves. Public Enemy already told us...can't trust it. White folks will sacrifice themselves in every way imaginable to maintain status quo. As we say in the hood...they're about that life and they stand on bidness when it comes to maintaining the system of racism white supremacy by any means necessary.
  20. Fair enough. Elected officials going against the grain isn't the norm. I certainly don't see them crafting legislation unilaterally in a democracy. Thanks for the inspiration. I'll let keep you posted on how it works out in the grand scheme of things. Many Black folks do recognize that we're not a monolithic group of people. Yet, that should not stop the various factions of Black folks from organizing and codifying their agendas internally and electing leadership to represent. At some point, Black leaders need to form strategic alliances beneficial to all parties. All Black people should recognize that the system of racism white supremacy is bad and needs to be dismantled.
  21. I've been into music for so long and heard so much over my lifetime until I don't have a favorite. Just a deep love for the artform.
  22. Rest assured those *elected* officials aren't making rogue decisions either. The paymasters have already given their marching orders. Nowadays, considering the amount of money in politics, most politicians are selected well before they're elected. Don't sit up there in the Big Apple hoping and praying the universe calls me. There's nothing to stop you from running for public office.
  23. @richardmurray, surely, elected officials can introduce legislation. Regardless of level, they cannot push it unilaterally in a democratic system. I define smart people as those who have some combination of a gift, talent, knowledge, skills and abilities to identify and solve problems and a bonus is having the personality to galvanize and/or motivate other people to help them. If/when I'm called to ministry, politics or otherwise, maybe I'll take heed.
  24. As I mentioned in the other thread, I'm not a preacher or a politician. I'm just a musician who reads and thinks a lot and who has opinions on d8mn near everything especially as it relates to Black people and dismantling the system of racism. Until brotha @Troy asks me to stop littering the discussion board with my thoughts and/or bans me, I'll keep providing my opinions on various topics from the comfortable chair I've found on the forum.
  25. Elected officials get their marching orders from special interest groups (people). They come up with policies that benefit their constituents. I'm not looking for consensus among 40 million Black people. There's enough smart people among the various Black voting blocks (special interest groups/constituents) to gather information and craft it into policy. One small problem...I'm not a politician or preacher. I'm just a musician who reads and thinks a lot and who has opinions.
