As the United States of America approaches its 250th birthday as a nation, there will be no shortage of events in Washington DC. Unfortunately, the current administration has a way of ruining whatever it touches.🤣 Here is a pic from the grounds of the National Mall this past weekend: The turnout on the 4th of July should be significantly higher as it has been historically. On July 4th, plenty folks show up on the National Mall for the concerts & fireworks display at night. The Great American State Fair is scheduled to run from 25 June - 10 July 2026. I imagine the turnout will be similar to the pic above from 5 July - 10 July. As I mentioned in another thread, maybe the 275th celebration will be less political & more festive.😁😎

I've heard mixed reviews. Folks enjoyed the opening ceremony & really dig the library. Some of the residents aren't so happy feeling like the library is an eyesore & will increase their property taxes. Either way, the library is there to stay. Folks may as well pull up & enjoy the significance of it. If/when I'm back in Chi-town, the Obama presidential library will definitely be on my list of places to visit.😎

Court allows Trump administration to end removal protecti... SCOTUS just issued a ruling that removes Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for Haitians & Syrians. Remains to be seen if it applies to non-Black countries & immigrants crossing the borders as well. This is considered a win for the current administration in pushing its white nationalist agenda. Well, they won't be able to get rid of all Black people in 3 years. This too shall pass. Hopefully, this ruling will inspire people to do a better job of building up their home countries.😎

Integration was definitely a blessing & a curse. Sure. I'd rather see Africans get the work. I'd prefer that Black folks own the industries & businesses & resources especially in their own countries. Even if Joe Jackson's own offspring claimed he was abusive, they could've dealt with him accordingly especially once grown & successful & rich. The same way they didn't include allegations against MJ they could've left Joe out too. The movie is about MJ. Focus should've stayed on him. Absolutely. Black men should be responsible for keeping each other & by extension our families in check. N8gglets who had 1sthand knowledge of Joe Jackson or Bambaataa or R. Kelly or P. Diddy wrongdoing should've handled that bizness accordingly. There's never a shortage of n8gglets both males & females around these people. They're aware of the foolishness. Agreed. As a huge proponent of ownership, Black folks should have bought &/or built factories. Of course, easier said than done back in those days when white folks had everything on lock. IMO, that would have been hustling backwards. Black folks would have still been employees & susceptible to whatever the white owners decided to do. Owmership is the only way to insure security & build wealth. Reads like the producer, script writers & Fuqua bought into the belief that Joe was a villian. Yet, they had enough sense to leave out the allegations against MJ. There are degrees to selling out. Several factors influence it.😎

Right. Working in a factory or warehouse is an honest way to make a living. Joe Jackson understood it 1sthand which is why he didn't want that for his offspring. How could Black folks as employees have stopped white company owners from outsourcing their businesses? Many of them couldn't go into that same factory job their parents worked because it was gone overseas. Katherine Jackson stayed with Joe for a long time. Long after she had more than enough money to leave him. Sure. But, we shouldn't allow white media to turn a good Black father into a villain.😎

In fact, run-of-the-mill 50+ women will see someone like Shakira & spend their money on cosmetics & plastic surgery & anything else that makes them feel more beautiful. Most politicians especially at the national level, work within the special interests of the PACs & wealthy people who finance their campaigns. Only a politician not beholden to the money that put them in office can truly work for the greater good of the people. Such a politician has not existed for a very long time since money has run national politics for several decades. Surely, some are old enough to remember former POTUS Richard Nixon raising a bunch of money back in the late 1960s/early 1970s.🤣 Look no further than the current administration. Everything it does is to rearrange the deck chairs of power & to further enrich the global elite. IMO, any issues of class & socialism are distractions to keep the masses from focusing on the bigger picture. Coordinating chaos & confusion is a part of the game. There is no desire among the global elite to redistribute wealth &/or provide a standard of living that is beneficial to every human being on the planet.😎
