Gotcha. I was mainly referring to the 1980s/1990s from a music listening perspective. Most people gravitate towards the music they listened to during their teen through young adulthood. Case in point. Music made in the 2000s didn't necessarily cater to folks from the previous generations. We only controlled our music and anything else we produce up until the point when the dominant society sees that its profitable. Young dudes do not have a monopoly on that type of behavior. There are old fools are doing the same thing. The laws protecting women from harassment weren't created a few years ago. They've been around for several decades.😎

War is a necessary evil among human beings as long as they have to protect themselves for survival. Evil intentions lead to wars. An individual or group of people decides they want to destroy or oppress other people. A fight ensues. Regardless of "winners and losers", there's dead people on both sides. Eliminate evil intent. Practice peace, love and harmony. That's universal.😎

Despite anti-discrimination which were enacted for the very same reason, US companies and businesses have forever been making the same considerations when it comes to customer facing jobs. Right. There's a reason we didn't see plus sized airline stewardesses for a long time. Appearance is still a consideration in many jobs. That's why there are dress codes and uniforms too.😎

That means you're willing to suffer the consequences of your actions or inactions too. Some dudes believe their woman is personal property. They will do whatever it takes in defense. Considering there's no shortage of women available, I really don't see the point in lusting after a woman who's tied up with someone else already. Seems akin to waiting on a particular urinal instead of using a functional one that's already available. No real or potential issues.😎

More Black supporters may be riding with him on the naive belief that he'll fix immigration. He won't and can't. That's why the wall was never really built. Most Black conservatives were on the team before immigration became a political football. They have been led to believe in the same Right wing agenda as poor whites, racists and rich white folks. From a comedic perspective, I'd love to see how those same conservative Black folks react if they found themselves back on the equivalent of a plantation.😎

That might be true of an atheist.😉 Human beings seem to be the ultimate authority of what happens among them whether it's good or evil. Human beings volunteer to do things that make life better for others. Human beings start wars leading to death and destruction. Which is good or evil, both or neither? IMO, a personal decision that doesn't adversely affect the lives of others isn't a matter of good or evil.😎

@aka Contrarian, totally understood regarding challenges of technology. A laptop would be easier to navigate than a smartphone. You're doing fine though. Reminds me....there's a program here where the state is giving brand new laptops to folks. I believe the catch is having a library card. Thought it was cool when I heard about it. I'm not suggesting baby boomers and Gen-Xers had it easier post civil rights. I think our generations rested a bit believing the struggle was a done deal. You're right...the younger generations are not preoccupied with institutionalized racism or white supremacy. They are being indulged, shielded and protected by their parents and others. Gen-Xers are probably doing the equivalent of yelling at the air and shaking fists at things that don't appear to exist as it relates to the system of racism white supremacy. Thankfully, modern technology records our words, deeds and actions. History is bound to repeat itself. If/when sh8t does hit the fan and racism white supremacy pulls a move in the future, those younger folks can pull it up and see what the Gen-Xers were yelling and fist shaking about back in the 20XXs.😎

I don't ignore or dismiss our progress. I refuse to rest on it or accept status quo. We deserve more. Brotha @frankster made that statement. Malcolm X and MLK jr. would have lived longer if they had traded the cross of Black struggle and picked up the spirit of individualism. If Black folks don't continue to stand for or work towards something, we'll certainly be stuck with less or little or nothing. It's perfectly fine for the baby boomer generation to feel that Black folks have arrived. They've benefited from struggle and blown through the inheritance and don't have much time left on the planet. The younger generation of Black folks are being forced to start from scratch because they have no inheritance of Black wealth. The system of racism white supremacy is going to choke the future of Black folks if we don't secure it. Reparations would give them a life line.😎

Voters on both sides have the same dilemma in choosing the lesser of two evils for themselves. As GOP nominee, former POTUS OJ is seen as a threat to the belief that we live in a democracy. On the Democratic side, VP Harris as POTUS nominee is a threat to white nationalism. The tug of war rope has been stretched out for many years now. In November, we'll see which way it snaps.😎

Yet, there's no shortage of folks who believe in and follow him. The former POTUS is willing to entertain him in some capacity. Half this country is nuts considering these clowns have a platform.😎

Most children are born to a mother and father. Parents should be the 1st teachers of their children. The rest of the village provides instruction through a highly functioning structure and environment i.e. community.😎

I have an idea of what backward looks like. History infoms us. However, I haven't seen or heard the plan for what forward means or how it should look for Black folks. I'm not interested in understanding it better by and by or when we all get to heaven and see the sky fairy and his son.🤣😎

Every generation feels similarly about their most productive time period. Black music constantly evolves. I believe our natural creativity along with environment and technology fuels it. Laws have toughened up to keep men from violating women even their own wives, girlfriends and side pieces. Still, a man knows when a woman really wants him. There's no misunderstanding or confusion. She will tell him and/or take matters into her own hands or elsewhere. 😎

Women will listen to a strong man, one who's proven to be provider, protector and leader. Women can see that white men control all levers of power and resources throughout the planet. Their strength is projected everywhere and in everything. Whether consciencely or not, people have the most respect for the primary benefactor of their survival when it comes to jobs, shelter, food, clothing, etc. Then, there is the fear factor. Folks know white men will destroy them without blinking an eye. Otherwise, there's no shortage of men of color to whom women are listening to while grinning and smiling as well. If a man doesn't have that level of respect especially from his own women, he needs to check himself.😎

Most people will accept some form of a benevolent dictatorship which is a combination of control (laws/rules) and leadership. We see examples of benevolent dictatorship in families, business, government, military, education, etc. Socialism could work similarly. Oppression is a negative use of power, influence and resources to insure that a group of people never rise above a certain station. The fundamental question to ask oneself is how would it feel to be confined to a prison for no reason. Human beings should not be oppressing each other regardless of anything else i.e. gender, race, ethnicity, culture, religion, etc. Human beings should be loving the h8ll outta each other. It's really that simple. Convoluted by evil BS (greed, envy, jealousy, hate, etc.). 😎
