White media was more than enthusiastic to put her business out there too. Other than Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg being heavy in the LBGTQ+ community...the white media is reluctant to broadcast white folks from that community. However, as soon as an AfroAmerican is a member of the alphabet soup community, they're put on blast. Anything anti-Black which includes promoting the alphabet soup community and allowing *illegal* immigration is another tool of racism white supremacy. 😎

The movie was considered a commercial flop when it was released. Definitely not made for TV. YouTube is the main reason we have access to it now. In 2019, a totally different movie entitled The Intruder was made starring Michael Ealy, Meagan Good and Dennis Quaid.😎

Yep. White folks have been repackaging Black music in their own image and likeness for at least 100 years starting with Jazz. They took Blues (Rock & Roll) and Gospel (Country music) and R&B (Pop) to name a few. White folks have even proclaimed Eminem to be the best rapper in Hip-Hop. Saddest part is when n8gglets cosign whatever white folks do. Even worse is black folks begging them for record deals to make music. Insult to injury is white folks determining which Black music can be sold. Black folks' failure to codify anything is the reason we don't own and control our intellectual property. 😎

Black leadership out there in Cali should be shutting that sh8t down and pushing to make it a federal case. The issue of reparations is just one example of how AfroAmericans are off code.😎

Sure. There have been a few conscience artists who've had success. Some messages do sell. As you mentioned, religion is a great example of it. Popular music has never been about selling messages. It's all about entertainment. Folks who want to get paid follow suit. Messages may "outweigh music and entertainment in the long run" but it will be hard to find positive messages in popular music. That's not what they're selling.😎

@Pioneer1, the thread is about music. Messages in music have always been a harder sell. There's never been a shortage of deep music. But, it won't be found on the Billboard chart. Again, from an entertainment perspective, most people like the McDonalds equivalent of music...nice beat and catchy lyrics. If someone was to put a Farrakhan speech over a strong beat, nigglets eyes would glaze over and they would find something else to listen to and/or do. As an aside, the 1st Million Man March message was 28 years ago. Almost 3 decades ago, most of the brothas who were at the March have probably forgotten the message.🤣 From a musician's perspective, I wish that Black music contained more positive messages and instructions for getting our people on code.😎

Of course, like Uncle Clarence Thomas, Ben Carson, Herschel Walker, Herman Cain (RIP) and every other wannabe GOP knee-grow, Sen. Scott's 15 minutes will be up soon enough. Jay-Z rose from the Marcy Projects in Brooklyn, NYC to becoming a Hip-Hop icon. It's awesome that Jay-Z's hometown library has an exhibit on him especially while he's still in the prime of his life. Jay-Z is to music what Denzel Washington is to theater/cinema. They're both extremely talented masters of their craft and highly respected in the entertainment business. Jay-Z turned his pen and word play into a billion dollar business enterprise. That's no small feat. A young person would be well served in applying Jay-Z's hustle in their own positive endeavors. 😎
