Bingo. As I mentioned in another thread, Putin wants the USSR restored. Under no circumstances does Putin want NATO/US any closer to the Russian border. I think it's disingenuous of the media to report that Ukraine is winning. Putin could have shock and awed that country into oblivion 3 weeks ago. That's not the goal.

Yep. It's unbelievable and sad that there are white supremacy proponents and sympathizers among black folks. Then again, race traitors have always existed among us. Brother Nat Turner didn't get very far with his plan because he was sold out by a black man. If there was going to be a black revolution, clowns like Larry Elder and Vernon Jones are among the 1st black folks who would be subjected to the drop squad. The governor of MS is an idiot in chief who should have been cancelled. Same goes for the clown running around down in FL. Yet, it would be meaningless to take down any of the folks I mentioned above because there are millions of people who think just like them.

White folks have used power negatively to conquer the world. But, the question is what have they really gained. One could argue the spoils of slavery and war have flooded white folks with untold wealth. I contend that the reason white folks will never enjoy peace is because their lust for power doesn't allow them to rest. Maintaining white supremacy (power) leaves them in a perpetual state of wickedness. That's why white folks build the most impressive defense systems. Their fear is that one day non-white folks are going to rise up against them and usurp their power. Every act of aggression that white folks make against others and even amongst themselves is to practice killing and to spread fear and control among non-whites. They project strength in order to maintain world order and power.

@richardmurray your analysis and understanding of the Russian/Ukrainian conflict is spot on from top to bottom. Ukraine is caught in the middle of a political game. The USA wants them close to NATO. Russian wants to put the band back together....USSR. Ukrainian lives are being sacrificed for political interests. Russians are are being forced to kill, rape and torture their own not too distant relatives. As I wrote, this whole situation is unnecessary. But, this is how power and greed works especially among the most barbaric people on the planet. White folks will let millions of people die for nothing even among themselves.

Yes. It is possible for a *financially successful* person to believe in democratic socialism. The meaning of success and rich varies from one person to another. While a handful of folks have become wealthy in the modern era, wealth is usually built and handed down over several generations. Nordic countries have practiced a form of socialism that seems to work for them. Canada does well with it too. I believe socialism works in places where racism is a non-issue. For example, the people of Sweden are going to take care of each other. The US is a mixed economy nation built on a legacy of slavery and racism which makes it complicated.

POTUS Obama left the White House 6 years ago. He's living his best life. There's absolutely no reason to throw shade on him now. However, there are quite a few things going on in the world that deserve attention. The focus should be on folks from both sides of the aisle who are supposed to be running the show today.

@richardmurray, I stand corrected. There are Ukrainians who would rather flee the country than stay and fight and kill or be killed by their Russian counterparts. Interestingly, among the several hundreds of men who have chosen to leave Ukraine, many of them feel "guilt and shame" for doing so. Sadly, the Russian/Ukrainian conflict is totally unnecessary and fueled by politics and greed.

@Troy is exactly right. The solution is *simple* but exceedingly *difficult* considering how AfroAmericans were colonized. Individual achievement and accomplishment is great. We should all strive to be our very best. However, as a group of people there's strength in numbers especially when it comes to knowledge, security, wealth management, etc. Every other group has ties that bind them whether it's racial, ethnic, cultural, etc. They know their history and close ranks when necessary. Right now, Ukrainians are a good example of it. I don't see or hear any dissent among them as it relates to how they should protect themselves and take care of each other. Even wealthy Ukrainian men are on the battle front.

Regardless of whether or not I agree with it, I enjoy reading differing points of view. Especially when it's ridiculous enough to make me laugh. Also, I haven't seen where @Troy has been heavy-handed in censorship. The forum works just fine from my armchair.

It makes sense. Fossil fuel comes from somewhere. It cannot be all dinosaur.

Special interests run politics i.e. money. IMO, before we can think of and/or establish a black political party, we must come up with an agenda that enriches the lives of black folks. The agenda has to be solid enough that black folks are wiling to invest their resources (time and money). Also, the agenda needs to emphasize demands to which politicians can be held accountable or else they won't receive...more money.

I have not seen much information on the victims. They are looking to charge the guy with some form of terrorism. As part of the conditioning process, angry black folks instinctively know better than to snap or be willing to face severe consequences. Otherwise, the aforementioned panaceas usually suffice. I believe this fella was on a mission to get 1st class accommodations at Riker's Island bed & breakfast.

Initially, this guy at 62 years old did not fit their *profile* of a typical mass shooter. Let the psychoanalysis begin. Since he's a black man, I'd imagine they will compare him to Colin Ferguson too. At some point, while eating donuts and drinking coffee, law enforcement folks should pay attention to social media chatter. I'm not on the major social media platforms but I've been told that people tell everything they are thinking and planning to do right there on the internet.

This guy was the LT Governor of NY. Yet, he manages to get indicted for bribery in helping a real estate developer obtain $50k grant. He's not the 1st nor will he be the last stupid politician. At some point, black folks have to learn they cannot do what their white counterparts do.

@Stefan, I figured as much. You know how I roll around here. I think some traitors get it honestly in how they were raised especially when parents either don’t know and/or choose not to teach our history. That's why these discussions are relevant. Maybe it will reach and teach or inspire black people to embrace and build each other up.

I doubt that you could ever be more wrong but you are consistent. it's not my style to brag or boast especially on a public forum. That being written... At no point in my life have I ever felt inferior to anyone especially whites. Growing up the real chocolate city (DC) gave me that. Also, according to their system, I'm better off in every sense of the word than most whites. However, 'm just not one of those black men who has done well for himself and thinks everyone else should pull themselves up by their bootstraps. I know how hard it will be for most black folks to make it in a system of white supremacy especially if we do nothing to change it. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. had enough credentials that he could have been a very successful black man living his best life in Georgia. He chose not to sit idly by and watch the injustices being perpetrated against black folks. He fought and died for civil rights. Regardless of social status and class, some of us will use our voices, knowledge, wisdom and resources to raise awareness and teach those who may be lost. Silence is not an option.

That is precisely why I do use the term white supremacy. We have to be willing to call it out in order to address it. I know it is uncomfortable for whites to hear and many non-whites have become comfortably numb to white supremacy. Whites will continue to do whatever it takes to anesthetize non-whites i.e. provide jobs and *opportunities*, access to credit and consumer goods, illusion of inclusion, etc. However, whites are not interested in giving up the power they wield all over the world. They are willing to destroy civilization as we know in order to maintain their supremacy over it.

Considering the lack of well defined agenda, accountability and oversight, the movement could be a black hole in terms of funding received. Instead of enriching themselves, I hope the people collecting money on behalf of Black Lives Matter actually use it to raise awareness when it comes to issues affecting black folks.

Of course, everyone is entitled to their opinion. It would be interesting to read your thoughts on why both sides of the political aisle agree to: 1) provide Ukrainians with financial, military and humanitarian aid and allow 100k to enter the US 2) allow Russian president to remain in power These are the same folks on both sides of the political aisle who have no problem with: 1) rounding up Haitian refugees on horseback and sending them back to Haiti 2) Deporting Central and South American refugees 3) Assassinating and overthrowing other leaders There is a historical record that proves white supremacy exists and shows no signs of going away.

Well laid out treatise. The truth of the matter is that white supremacy has done a number on the black community. The historical record doesn't lie. The reality is that white supremacists have groomed enough black folks to do their bidding well enough to lead and leave the masses of black folks in a state of confusion and complacency with the status quo. As written above, the current situation in Ukraine is a case in point. White folks will swiftly come to the aid of their own and any other group of non-black folks. Yet, reparations and/or restitution of any kind are non-starters from slavery through through Greenwood and countless atrocities committed against black folks here in America. Unfortunately, many black folks are complicit in the continued neglect and marginalization of their own people when they have sold out and aligned themselves with the agenda of white supremacy.
