IMO, electing Rep. Karen Bass to be Mayor of Los Angeles will not adversely affect AfroAmericans living there. We should hope that a Mayor Bass could implement policies to help and inspire disenfranchised AfroAmerican Los Angelinos to do better for themselves.😎

The GOP suffered significant losses in the midterms out of fealty to Agent Orange. But, it still remains to be seen whether or not the Orange stranglehold on the party is truly waning. Despite that there may be an announcement to run again, I'm cautiously optimistic that the Orange One will not be relevant in 2024. Then, there's DeSantis. He won't do much better by Black folks. 😎

Ukraine never stood a chance of *winning* a war against Russia. The country took on death and destruction to prove their capacity to become a NATO ally. OTOH, Russia could have wiped Ukraine in a matter of days if they were really interested in doing so. That's not the goal. The war isn't about destroying Ukraine. It's about keeping them from pursuing a NATO alliance and ultimately having the US at the Russian border. 😎

The short answer is yes. The *hard* work of getting an education helps with navigating the system of racism white supremacy. A handful of folks who f8ck up may be thrown to the wolves. But, as long as someone is making money from their labor more folks are able to *succeed* relatively speaking. 😎

Black TV producers do not own the bandwidth on which their networks, shows and movies are hosted. As a result, regardless of their financial status, they do not really have the freedom to put whatever they desire on the air. Part of Black folks making a fortune is providing entertainment instead of education. 😎

Americans are warned prior to going into other countries. Of course, that won't stop folks from doing their own thing whether it's arrogance or ignorance or complacency. I still maintain that sista Griner didn’t do anything *wrong* or unusual in her travels. She just got hemmed over there because of politics. Because she is a high value asset, the Russians will not let any harm come to her. Sista Griner is being inconvenienced but definitely not subjected to any form of torture. Yep. Growing up in a Chocolate City (Washington DC) with a strong Black mayor (Marion Barry Jr.) was definitely a shield against racism and provided a whole lot of Black folks with lucrative jobs and opportunities. 😎

Everything is being used to keep folks dazed and confused to avoid dealing with America's original sin (slavery) and the debt owed (reparations). Social media, consumerism, religion, history and conspiracy theories are just a few that keep folks busy. Otherwise, freedom of speech does have its consequences.😎

The democratic state of Maryland elected it's 1st Black governor yesterday. The outgoing governor is a Republican. He did an excellent job too . Just goes to show the GOP doesn't have to be filled with clowns and kooks.😁😎

AfroAmericans should be using their platforms to address 1) America's original sin (slavery) and 2) reparations. That way, AfroAmericans won't have time to get caught up addressing any other group of people. AfroAmericans should be able to 1) outline the problem, 2) formulate an agenda and ) focus on a solution. AfroAmericans from all walks of life but especially celebrities, athletes and entertainers should wear clothing and record music about slavery and reparations. i believe that would force America to talk about and deal with it especially when their kids start asking questions. 😎

AfroAmericans need to pool their resources to create businesses and spend money among ourselves instead of giving it back to White folks. As I've mentioned before, $1 should exchange hands between AfroAmericans 7-8 times before it leaves our community.😎
