  1. It's happening for all the world to see and hear. Believe it.
  2. Of course, I'm very familiar with the late Chuck Brown, beloved Godfather of our local Go-Go music scene. As a musician, I'm a fraternal member of the Go-Go scene having conections to and having played keyboards in a few well-known bands. I have not visited Mahogany Books but I know exactly where it's located. I'll check it out when time permits.
  3. The boyfriend un-followed her on social media. I'll go with she's pretty nutty for $200.
  4. All housing and types of it serves the same purpose I mentioned above. Guess what's going on in a 32 bedroom mansion with a bowling alley, tennis court, movie theater, swimming pool and a groundskeeper. Eat, sleep, sh8t, f8ck. Nicer things come with a price that someone is willing to work for and pay. It's not given away.
  5. IMO, women with a legitimate claim will be undeterred by this situation. However, those women who make false allegations will think twice about it. Hopefully, this young lady's mental state will make them drop the charges.
  6. Correct. Therein lies the difference between need and want. People will do just enough to have their basic needs met. White folks are providing just enough access (jobs, loans, credit) for Black folks to live comfortably. Reminds me of when n8gglets sit around talking about how they want a Benz but they do just enough to get a hoopty. However, when people want something...short of luck, they have to work for it. Becoming slf-sufficient means it's time for some action or as you quoted...get busy.
  7. No need for fancy houses when accommodating an influx of people showing up as a labor force to work. The people just needed a place to shave, shower, eat, sleep, f8ck and raise their children.
  8. @Pioneer1, that's why I mentioned building first. Before fixing anything, an assessment has to be made of whether or not it's worth repairing and/or if it needs to be gutted and rebuilt. Either way, the solution isn't to stand around looking at and discussing the problem(s) indefinitely. Eventually, it's time for action in order to get the work done. That starts with finding the *right* people people who have the requisite knowledge, skills and abilities to make it happen.
  9. Yep. Unfortunately, Souf'east still makes the news more than any other quadrant of the city.
  10. That's a typo. Frying...could be a Freudian slip tho. The US government knows exactly what's going on with everything traveling land, sea, air and space. The US has satellites everywhere. They see and hear everything. It's all about maintaining military readiness and remaining the #1 Super Power on the planet. UAPs/UFOs is a convenient distraction to keep people preoccupied with something else. It's a money-making form of entertainment.
  11. That begs the question of why would advanced beings interact with humans. If advanced beings did or do come through every now and then, where's the proof and evidence. More importantly , if advanced beings interacted with human beings, why aren't we any better off as a species. To date, human beings are still plagued with dysfunction in terms of how we treat each other and incurable diseases. Human beings still haven't figured out how to live outside this planet. We can just barely leave it. But, some other being has the ability and technology to travel light years. I'll never buy it. But, extraterrestrial sh8t is great source material for the human imagination and entertainment; monetized in books, movies, TV shows, etc.
  12. Wait a minute bro....I was born and raised in Southeast Washington DC. Do not come for my beloved city and specifically for my section of it. I'm an OG now but still repping SE DC to the fullest. I wouldn't be here without it.
  13. I'm not getting that box. Try clearing your browser data (cache, cookies, etc.) and log back onto the site. Maybe there's some junk in your trunk.
  14. @Pioneer1,obviously I would not condone the codification of dysfunctional and non-constructive behavior. Surely, there is a small population of AfroAmericans who choose to be dysfunctional and do dumb sh8t. We have to deal with the chicken heads and dusty dudes accordingly. Even some of them can be redeemed when righteous rise up. It's easy to look at a house in disrepair and complain about or neglect it. But, if that house is a worthwhile investment and inhabitable, then it's just a matter of making the necessary repairs. Building or fixing requires action. At some point, we have to do the work.
  15. The US military has been testing all types of aircraft for several decades now. UFOs/UAPs originate on Earth and most are manufactured in the USA.
  16. For that very reason, we cannot allow them to ignore missing and exploited Black folks based on this one situation.
  17. I wear being Black as a badge of honor. I'm proud of it. I truly believe that Black people are the righteous. That's why other races of people attack and undermine us. It may not happen in my lifetime but Black folks will eventually get tired of being mistreated and destroy our enemies. When the Black man rises; peace will be restored to the Earth.
  18. OK. I know you don't use narcotics to get high. Whatever you *believe* about mermaids and aliens stems from an active imagination. But, I won't try to convince you that neither of them exists because I don't have any evidence or proof.
  19. Oops homie. You're absolutely right about taking actions that actually work. That requires a plan: 1) Identify problem. 2) Come up with a solution. 3) Execute. Of course, that level of discipline goes back to codification.
  20. House Oversight committee decided to entertain testimonies regarding UAPs (Unidentified Aerial Phenomena) commonly known as UFOs (Unidentified Frying Objects). One whistleblower testified that in the course of his job duties he was told there was a "multi-decade UAP crash retrieval and reverse engineering program" but he didn't have access to it. Reads like someone told him I know a secret but I cannot tell anybody else about it. The whistleblower doesn't have a picture or document or any shred of evidence. All he's got is *I* know they're (government) hiding something from us. Statistics state that most folks who report UAP/UFO sightings live within 30 miles of a military base. IOW, folks are probably seeing military aircraft tests. Of course, the Defense department denies everything. They claim no awareness of crashed spaceships or alien remains or anything else. Congress plans to keep investigating. Reads like an exercise in wasting taxpayers money. But, those who believe in extraterrestrial stuff can wait for the receipt, er, official report. Interestingly, no other country on the planet is obsessed with UFOs/UAPs, aliens and outer space. Maybe they are preoccupied with trying to live.
  21. IMO, every state is better off as a member of the union with the exception of Florida. Florida needs to be put in time out until their backwards governor grows a brain.
  22. Most oppressed groups of people complain about and/or provide excuses for their condition instead of taking action(s) to change it. Brown people labelled as terrorists seem to be the most active when it comes to fighting imperialism.
  23. My brotha I had no doubt we'd get there albeit circuitously.
