  1. Yep. There are both men and women who understand the *value* in paying folks to please them and leave with no strings attached. No drama. No stress. Strictly bizness.
  2. The information superhighway is available to everyone. Even the poorest folks have access to computers. They can seek out help. The inability to solve problems constructively will always leave people in a vulnerable position. Destructive behaviors only make it worse. Neither. White supremacy runs the world. A few issues there...1) Black folks didn't have enough resources to buy equipment and materials to build and 2) post-slavery white folks weren't going to hire and pay Black folks to work for them and 3) white folks weren't going to consume whatever Black folks produced. Post-Slavery Black folks were in a situation of not having...no job, money, housing, transportation, etc. It's hard to build from a net negative position.
  3. Men have been paying for s8x directly or indirectly since the beginning of time. Some men are lucky enough to get the full range of services for free. Athletes and entertainers have no shortage of folks throwing themselves at them wherever they go. Of course, it's a land mine out there.
  4. The cancelation of Joy's show is a direct response to the reelection of POTUS OJ. There's a shake-up in Left-leaning media. Joy Reid is a casualty of it. Black folks couldn't save her show. Only white folks could have done it had they elected a different POTUS. If Stephen A. Smith doesn't continue bringing in viewership to his white paymasters at ESPN, he'll get dumped too. Smith already has a podcast and cache with the likes of Chris Cuomo and Bill O'Reilly. He has a safe space within white media for now.
  5. Sharing opinions on current events and topics seems to be an entertainment form of journalism. All of the aforementioned folks have enough followers to start a podcast if they haven't already. Joining forces might make it even stronger. Someone like Joy Reid should be able to do something independent of white-owned media with decades of on air experience. Getting fired from white media can be a blessing. Especially when some of these folks are already millionaires.
  6. Patrice Rushen showed off her piano chops on the records that didn't receive heavy radio airplay. Rushen's musicianship also came through on other folks' records, in concert and Jazz projects.
  7. There's a few sugar mamas out in these streetz. The problem is she might look like this one: Some of these young dudes are putting in work with a sugar mama who has a great job or pension.
  8. There's other ways to get out of a bad situation. Drug and alcohol abuse has never worked. Agreed. Understood. I believe the threat of an outside military showing up and kicking azz keeps countries stuck. That's why France has such a strong influence on ECOWAS. As you've probably read from my posts, gross consumerism among Black people is a huge problem. Black folks over-sample on a number of things. Materialism is #1 on the list. Black people haven't avoided building factories and other infrastructure due to laziness or lack of knowledge. They keep sucking on the white man's ice believing it's colder.
  9. Absolutely. That would be the best approach. It works too. Two problems for some men are 1) driven by physical needs and 2 ) lack of swag and sensuality. Those types of men trying to get attention from a woman who isn't attracted to them will have need something else to lure her i.e. money, handyman skills, connections, etc. I believe men are better off dealing with women who fit within their means. Mutual attraction goes a long way. Oftentimes, a Flavor Flav looking dude wants Halle Berry. Men are physically attracted to women above their station. Then, there's dudes like POTUS OJ. He did exactly what was required to get his mail-order trophy wife. Cut the check.
  10. Considering the number of Black journalists fired from their high-profile gigs, I'm curious to see if it will motivate them to start their own companies. Roland Martin who was fired from TV One several years ago seems to be doing well with his own media company. Instead of waiting on or looking for another mainstream media gig, the better move would be for fired Black journalists to join forces to create an independently Black-owned media company. Don Lemon, Candace Owens, Angela Rye, Joy Reid, Jemele Hill, Marc Lamont Hill, etc., should have enough followers between them to consolidate into media platform. Black journalists might also want to consider covering issues that pertain to Black folks instead of having white employers mandate their coverage.
  11. Depends om how long they've been hobbling around on those crutches. Some folks have been drug addicts and/or alcoholics FOR YEARS. Agreed. Mentally lazy people definitely need to be kicked in the azz. The threat of a military is enough to keep a whole country full of people on stuck. As I mentioned in another thread, the former colonizers are still running weaker countries by remote control. Similar to the chained elephant that has been locked up for awhile. Even once the restraints are removed and the elephant is set free, it doesn't go anywhere thinking it's still in bondage. Greed is heavily fortified. It will take a herculean effort to overcome it. Especially when people are relatively happy with their own situation.
  12. You nailed it. I don't watch The View but I've heard of it. Joy Reid would be the perfect replacement for Whoopi. Considering shared ownership, CBS producers must be trying to tap into that soap operatic BS Tyler Perry has littered across BET.
  13. Hands down, my favorite Patrice Rushen song is "Settle for My Love".
  14. Black folks haven't mastered and/or owned their existence on the Earth. Black folks are not using resources collectively to build an infrastructure here on Earth. IMO, Black folks have zero business even thinking about minerals from outer space. Africa has a ton of natural resources and very little control over them. As usual, white and Chinese folks are carving up the minerals on the Earth. They will be doing the same beyond the planet. In gambling places, there are high roller tables and rooms that are off limits to regular patrons. Outer space is the high roller part of the universe.
  15. Patrice Rushen is a Jazz pianist who had R&B hits back in the 1970s and 1980s. Ledisi is a phenomenal singer who incorporates every form of Black music in her bag. There's no shortage of talented Black female musicians and artists. Becoming a major star is different. Beyonce is the most successful Black female artist in history but she doesn't play any instrument to any significant degree.
  16. Let's see if Joy Reid will follow in Roland Martin's footsteps and start her own media company with a podcast or something other show.
  17. Oh I see the disconnect. Neely Fuller Jr. would say ask a question. Wait for the answer. Don't interrupt. I knew @Pioneer1 would get the reference. Otherwise, NF Jr. has nothing to do with this subject. He didn't recommend anything in this context. Right. There is more than one approach to get there. The main thing is to avoid wasting too much time.
  18. Replace the crutch with something constructive. Nah bro. Trailer park folks aren't waiting on a condo or house. There are trailer park communities with mailing addresses. They plan to be there for a long time. Education is a ticket out of poverty. Not so sure about they future as they bring in less qualified white folks for the same job. 400 years of slavery. Black folks can never be called lazy. How did the country get locked into the western economic system? Greed and corruption keeps the masses poor. You may not want to blame greedy and corrupt leadership and economic systems for keeping people poor. It's their reality until they decide to deal with those leaders and break free from those systems. Poor decision-making will keep folks in poverty. Greed created the condition.
  19. The worst part of it is that General CQ Brown is far more far more qualified for the *job* than his replacement. This hypocritical administration claims people should be hired based on merit and yet they're bringing in the least qualified folks.
  20. That's not confidence. It's rude and arrogant and disrespectful to put hands on someone without permission. Of course POTUS OJ said he grabs women by the snatch box. Claims they let him do it because he's wealthy. I have to keep that in mind for both my brothas...you and Troy. Absolutely makes more sense to go home lonely rather get beat up or go to the penalty box. Won't be lonely for long in there especially if one is a weaker vessel. Sure. There is a sense of attraction but the goods are still free. Don't leave out the ashy knees and high black socks.
  21. I didn't think the original intent of the post was specifically Jazz pianists. Jazz music has always been an acquired taste. Jazz hasn't been Pop(ular) music since the 1950s. A handful of Jazz musicians and artists have reached mainstream status over the decades. Otherwise, Jazz *flavor* is sprinkled in other styles of Black music (R&B, Soul, Hip-Hop, Neo-Soul, etc.). Most Pop musicians and artists come from every other genre except Jazz.
  22. Still, Black folks outnumbered white folks in Jamaica. Jamaicans have shown a propensity for being able unalive people. Seems the Black Jamaicans could have kicked out the white minority. This could have spread throughout the Caribbean. Garvey could have painted the islands all Black. Same thing goes for Africa. In the Caribbean and Africa, Black folks outnumber whites. South Africa has 48 million Black folks and 5 million white folks. If the Black people can unalive each other in those places, surely, they could have removed the white minority. Instead, these majority Black countries have allowed white folks to own them by remote control. The British and French left their former colonies but to this day, continue to control their resources and call the shots. Burkina Faso and a few other African countries are trying to buck France. Current conflicts around the world, Russia-Ukraine and Israel-Palestine are indicative of what white folks understand when it comes to power. War and peace. What is my point? Until Black folks are willing to unalive white folks and own their countries and land, we will never truly be *free* from white supremacy anywhere on the planet.
  23. Out of Garveyism, I totally agree that Black people shouldn't have to depend on white folks for anything. Instead, Black folks should be about the business of building a strong race in terms of economics, education and politics. I find it interesting that Garvey didn't use his movement to liberate and build up his home country of Jamaica. We got it. Figured as much. There are huge swaths of America where white folks have separated themselves from Black folks. Wyoming, the Dakotas, Montana, Vermont, New Hampshire, etc., have less than one percent Black populations. During election night, those red states are indicative of white America. The purchasing power of Black Americans suggest that many individuals are doing very well for themselves. Despite the negative perspectives, I believe your 3rd eye is always open.
  24. Alicia Keys came to mind when i read the quesrion. Thinking 2025 and beyond, I don't believe the music industry is open to a Black female piano player becoming a huge star. Aretha Franklin, Hazel Scott, Nina Simone, Roberta Flack and Alicia Keys were lightning strikes.
  25. Three supremely talented Black women. Ms. Roberta Flack just left us today. RIP. Thanks for the music.
