Hours after making an appearance and speaking a few words at the Vatican, Pope Francis passed away. Pope Francis was 88 years old. He served in that role for 12 years. I remember when he was selected. Time flies. By most accounts, Pope Francis was one of the most personable and open-minded leaders of the Catholic church. He didn't live in the typical Vatican residence. Preferred to stay in an apartment on the premises. He will go down in history as a great one. Obviously, Pope Francis has to be laid to rest. The College of Cardinals will go into a conclave to select the next Pope. It will be interesting to see who ascends to the papacy this time around. No shortage of candidates.😎

These curfews would be used arbitrarily when police want to disperse a rowdy group of juveniles. OTOH, it won't be applied to rowdy sports fans acting a fool after a game. My concern would be when, where and to whom the curfews would be applied.😎

Broke, homeless, locked up or locked in low wage jobs stem from poor choices being made whether it's not taking education seriously or believing crime pays. Those FBA/AfroAmericans should have been creating businesses and buildings institutions for future generations to work. As it stands, most FBA/AfroAmericans have to depend white folks for every crumb of their daily bread. That was a failure on our part. Making ends meet will never lead to building wealth. It insures the continuity of poverty. Some FBA/AfroAmericans were similar to Hispanics today. They worked hard to have a little bit. Plenty of fun though. At the same time, white folks destroyed snd criminalized FBA/AfroAmericans through drugs. They chipped away at the safety nets that allowed folks to live at basic level. As mentioned above, that's by deisgn. The question is why did FBA/AfroAmericans allow themselves to be disproportionately affected by it. Understood. Statistics show that FBA/AfroAmericans are collectively wealthier and better off than decades ago. It's easy to romanticize the past because 1) there's nothing that can be done to change it and 2) allows folks to do nothing about right and the future. It's relative. Families are smaller too. I realize you're not a huge fan of researching statistics preferring instead to lean into your own observations. However, the numbers are available. It's easy to fall into tunnel vision and not see the bigger picture. Right. The same folks some would consider model citizens i.e. hard working, pull themselves up by the bootstraps, are running around doing dysfunctional sh8t too. They have gangs, drug & alcohol abuse, s8xual assaults, etc. Solve the *problems* you see and can handle. Constructive fun is fine when the work is done i.e. problems solved. Absolutely. There are more millionaires and a few billionaires among Gen-Xers than every generation before it combined. You're certainly entitled to your point of view. There are statistics to prove Gen-Xers have been able to accumulate more wealth and live a better life than previous generations. Surely, family structures and relationships are different now. Folks are more spread out. Over the past 30-40 years, one person can afford to run the whole show i.e. buy a house, vehicle, clothes, shoes, groceries, pay utilities and take vacations. Other groups of people have their own share of dysfunction. It's part of the reason they fled their home countries. By necessity, people who work for low wages understand the importance of cooperating with others in order to havd a roof overhead, lights on, running water and groceries in the refrigerator. Interestingly, people who have the least materially often seem to have the most *fun* in life.😎
