Oppressors are willing to use violence in order to maintain power and control. It doesn't take much intelligence to hurt, harm, maim or kill people. C'mon bro....using a person with Down's Syndrome as a sign of low intelligence is a false equivalence. There's never been a situation in modern history of mentally disabled folks to that degree (Down's Syndrome) exploiting anyone. OTOH, there's been plenty od mentally disturbed folks who've done everything from exploitation to murder.

Very true. As a GenXer myself, I have accepted that Black folks are in different stations or as brotha @richardmurray points out...different tribes. Regardless, I will continue 1) calling out the system of racism white supremacy and 2) demanding reparations for America's original sin. I realize my tribe is small.

One man started a whole world war believing white is the master race. Foreigners are taking over the continent of Africa because they don't believe Black folks deserve the land. The current administration is chiseling away at American institutions to insure that white men are in the most powerful positions. Race matters. It has been a thing for hundreds of years and counting. I don't see any real movement towards a colorblind society.

Absolutely. I always think about the wise words of the late Dick Gregory. Black folks cannot do anything about these situations where white folks are going against each other for one reason or another. Stay out of it. Because my filter is loose and I'm a natural clown, I get a laugh out of teling white folks these problems belong to them.

Humans have been in conflict for thousands of years. Being of the same species hasn't made humans more harmonious. Still fighting over one thing or another. Ignoring race and ethnicity won't make a difference in the way humans treat each other either. I believe replacing greed, jealousy, envy and hate with love would solve differences and problems among humans would overnight. As it stands, we have to accept that differences in race and ethnicity have an effect on human interactions. H8ll, when people meet each other from different citiies, states, towns, countries, etc., there's a process of feeling each other out.

DC/MD/VA (northern) (DMV) is located in the Mid-Atlantic region. The DMV area is just below the Mason-Dixon line which was established to settle a land dispute before it became the unofficial separation of North and South. Many DMV ancestors migrated up from the South. Regardless of how we talk and sound, DMV folks do not consider themselves southerners proper. That's just what it is Young or Slim depending on the ages of the speaker and listener.

Mid-May won't be too hot here. The sweaty folks should be fine on May 17th. Other side of Memorial Day would be a different story.

I believe when the smoke clears and it is confirmed that white folks are protesting and burning Teslas, the domestic terrorism rhetoric will subside. The culprits might be charged with arson and vandalism. They will be treated similar to Antifa and January 6th rioters.

Agreed. At least 2 of those states (Georgia and Mississippi) should be included in the reparations package too. I would not be opposed to throwing Alabama in the mix as well. They already know how we get down at the pier. The Black folks in Texas and Louisiana would be happy as h8ll if Georgia, Mississippi and Alabama were Black states. Of course, white folks would start a war rather than give up those states.

It was beautiful thing. Soul brother #1 Mr. James Brown gave us a theme song too. Same here. Every time. I'm a very proud Black man specifically AfroAmerican almost to a fault. Despite our differences, I'm always gonna ride for all Black people in the grand scheme of things. That's also why I cannot subscribe to the belief that Black people are of low intelligence. Black people bring the flavor to everything we pursue. Black folks are peaceful and loving d8mn near to our detriment. The fact that Black men are afraid to put the barbarians in check is the only thing keeping the world from being a utopia for all of humanity. I doubt that it will happen in my lifetime. Thankfully, I have an opiate in the form of music that allows me to hope for the best.

Scandinavian countries don't have enemies. It is a utopia for white folks. Most nations do not spend a ton of money on defense. Only the biggest super powers do it. The US spends more than any other country. The real question is why does the US spend so much money and who are its real enemies. Russia and China are considered threats. Yet, America does more business with China than several countries combined. China is the defacto US labor force. Doesn't seem like an enemy. Bingo. I've mentioned that several times too. White folks taking care of each other. Africans and Asians should not be pouring into Scandinavian countries. They should be building their own sh8t. Right. Welfare in the form of goodies, guarantees and giveaways still overwhelmingly benefit the most homogeneous group of Americans...white folks. Yep. Ukraine is getting plenty money but it's definitely not to the detriment of white folks here in America. They aren't going to lose. Human greed creates the conditions that make it harder to get up regardless of one's intelligence. I know highly intelligent people who are more broke than a bag of glass. OTOH, I also know folks with little or no education who are very well off. The US has a literacy rate that is above average. Low intelligence affects a relatively small number of people in the US population. i believe fear...being afraid to do whatever it takes to become rich or wealthy is the real reason people have problems and get exploited. Most people who work a job for an hourly wage will never be rich. Many of them will have just enough to survive and might struggle to make ends meet. Despite trading labor for low wages, I would not consider that a sign of low intelligence. Countries are not poor due to low intelligence among its citizens. They are being exploited by the greed and corruption from their leaders. An argument could be made that only people of low intelligence would be afraid to overthrow their oppressor. Then, that would indict the entire Black population on the planet. Low intelligence has nothing to do with oppression. In fact, the late NF Jr. always said the people who need the most help should get it.

There's definitely something weird about it. Unfortunately, Black folks aren't sending up flares to investigate the murder of these brothers. Black politicians, athletes and entertainers, law enforcement personnel, judiciary, bounty hunters, vigilantes, social media influencers, etc., should be on the case. Since this happened in the state of Georgia, let's start with Sen. Raphael Warnock, gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams, former ATL mayor Keisha Bottoms and DA Fani Willis.

True. Green is the color that ultimately triumphs everything. Usually any type of currency that enables people to have a *better* life will win. There was a brief moment in time during the early 1970s where Black pride was a thing. Integration has been a blessing and a curse.

I beiieve they willl try to abolish teaching rwcial aspects of history especially when education goes back to the states. The dominant society will keep track of race even as they claim moving towards a colorblind society. As it stands, skin color means something as they specifically refer to Black people when it comes to any type of discrimination, hiring practices, housing, education, voting. etc. There's always been only two genders as far as I'm concerted. Whatever folks claim or pretend to be is on them. When it comes to sports and designated bathrooms, it's male and female. No confusion.

Regardless of race, human greed and indifference makes poverty even worse. As I've mentioned before, Scandinavian countries have a welfare system that provides a standard minimum income, free education, free childcare and universal healthcare to its citizens. Yet, a continent rich in resources operates as if it's poor. IMO, human greed across the board is to blame for all bad conditions and ills in a society.

Yep. White folks in America stopped using their ethnicity in order to consolidate their majority in numbers and maintain power. The current administration is trying to eliminate race from education and employment. They have already taken us back to using two genders. No more pronouns.

Too late for any semblance of that happening. The current administration is trying to rip up, tear down and do away with anything that has to do with race. @Troy might get his wish but I don't think it's going to be a good thing for Black folks and non-whites.
