  1. @MzuriLMAO. After regurgitating all that patented swill straight from the right-wing Republican playbook, - a crock of bullshit replete with your straw man arguments about Obama and Biden, neither of whom i have ever mentioned, you have the gall to brag about thinking for yourself, which is obviously not an asset in your case. Instead of trotting out all that cut-and-paste blather from the Republican troll manual, you need to learn the difference between white supremacy and white racism. Everybody is racist; i'm racist, you're racist, they're racist. Bottom line is whether you let racism usurp pragmatism. Biden doesn't do that. He does what's expedient, like any shrewd politician. Nor do i care whether Obama is an elitist. He's no longer the POTUS. It ain't his job to make niggas stop killin' each other. You are grasping at straws, using diversionary tactics in order to rationalize your embrace of a party intent on preserving a system of white supremacy - an entrenched tradition that doesn't give a damn about negro syncophants like you. The difference between me and you is that i know the Democrats are flawed and that democracy is on its last legs because all men aren't really created equal. YOU are the brainwashed one, believing a Republican 3rd Reich will be a panacea for the great unwashed masses when it will never be anything but the party of predominately rich white men. Just like you will never be anything by a peripatetic phony who hisses out of both sides of her mouth.
  2. Because i was tired of it pissing me off, i divorced the black race last year after a life time of identifying as black My motivation was why should I continue to identify with the stupid things that black folks do. Now i simply am, what i am; which is first and foremost, old. So far, nobody has challenged this.
  3. Poor old crusty Dummycrat still suffering from a severe case of Trump derangement syndrome. Perhaps you should try drinking some Constant Comment for that, I heard it soothes the troubled mind. You might try sweetening that cup of tea with a little bit of honey, since your sour personality seems in desperate need of something ambrosial. BTW, I'm glad you posted, now I can stop worrying whether your battle-ax behind has succumbed. @MzuriYes, i regularly check out CNN and MSNBC, too. What do i care about ratings? These stations are left-leaning and partisan and so am I, and their anchors don't out-right lie the way Faux news' clowns regularly do. I don't know what you watch but it hasn't enhanced your credibility or banished your preoccupation with past history when it comes to the Democrats and the fact that this being 2022 behooves you to judge a party by what it presently represents, especially when it comes to minorities. You seem to be in total denial about what the GOP has become; which is a front for white supremacy! Look at the bigoted types that flock to it! Republicans certainly aren't the good guys in this country's political equation. or are they a viable alternative for the black race. And can you deny the specter of trumpism that has permeated this party? Do you really not comprehend what the subliminal message of the MAGA slogan represents to the shrinking population of threatened white males? Your conservative Republican party represents the last chance for white men to retain and enforce white power in a country where they will soon be a minority. That's why their Congressmen and Senators are ignoring and disobeying the laws and the Constitution, abandoning democracy and gravitating toward fascism because the old rules thwart their quest for survival. And this right wing new world order will probably be victorious because it appeals to the growing common denominator of racism, something that will not better things for you and your ilk who will be relegated to the wait staff, because you certainly won't be sitting at the table with the big boys. You will be nothing more than kicked-to-the curb internet trolls. You were "worried" about whether or not i had succumbed. But i couldn't care less about you succumbing to a fate that will diminish you, something that couldn't happen to a more deserving person. And you might want to cut back on that trump-laced Koolaid you're guzzling.
  4. Just dropped in to get a whiff of what's going on here since I made my last departure, an exit that deferred to my aversion for being around those I can't stomach. And what a good decision that was. OMG! I can only gasp at how the vibe here has become even more irritating. 'Felt like I had stumbled into a FOX "News" echo chamber, reeking with the gospel of right wing half truths, and rampant with hysterical conspiracy theories involving the ubiquitous "they". But - before I provide further material for possible rebukes from Mzuri in her self-appointed role as the Sergeant-at-Arms of this forum, ever ready to lecture those who don't conform to the protocols she has taken the liberty to put in place, - let me assure that i am aware no one really gives a damn what I think. (And I don't give a damn that nobody doesn't give a damn.) Now, as I was saying... mulling over what's going on here, i've reached the conclusion that this mind boggling phenomenon called CIVILIZATION, in its infinite journey, lurches forward doing what it has always done in an environment teeming with natural and manufactured marvels; visible and invisible dangers. And because it is the nature of the bi-ped beast evolution has spawned, humanity engages in an eternal conflict that pits the "have's" against the "have-not's", and the "already-are's" against the "wanna-be's", dumping them into a horde of "never will-be's", leaving everyone to expect freedom and justice for all. Foolish dreamers - idiots upon whom the abused Earth will eventually take its revenge. Welcome to the real world. Ah, but every poster here clings to their own version of the truth about the "real" world where the ongoing clash between the bad "them" and the good "us" wages on. And each opinionated contributor is eager to advance political narratives or embrace deep state conspiracy theories. As if a government controlled by an evil cabal has to plot something that Mankind naturally does on its own, as if what is happening now is not just another rehearsal for the highly anticipated Armageddon extravaganza, as if there was never a bubonic plague, no unrest nor revolts among the masses, no power hungry despots nor upheavals of the status quo. As if there has never been the fall of Great Empires, as if societies and cultures don't recycle and go through eras and periods wherein the more things change the more they become the same, all under the direction of a Universe with a wicked sense of humor! Ha-Ha. The joke's on us as Fate mocks our hopes and Father Time yawns, bored by the repetition of the proverbial phoenix rising from its ashes. And Life goes on as Civilization survives. But all is not yet lost on this site, and in spite of it having become a haven for Democrat bashers, and a coop full of paranoid "Chicken Littles" beaned by acorns and panicked into thinking "the sky is falling, there is a calm voice of reason in this cyber wilderness, a someone exhibiting logic, and balance. Thank "goodness" for my boy, Troy, who neutralizes the histrionics and relegates others to wallow in the factoids of their misinformation. Happy New Year, ol buddy. Hang in there. And, oh yeah. Fuck Retrumpican obstructionists!
  5. @Mzuri & @daniellegfny
  6. @MzuriMYOB. @daniellegfnySales are pretty slow, huh? i'll make this simple. i wouldn't pay 2 cents to read any book written by you and used as a door stop by Mzuri.
  7. @DelOK I got in sync with this date. and time. Jeopardy was on my TV and i got quite a few of the answers right, including the final Jeopardy one.
  8. Says the airhead Mzuri from the peanut gallery
  9. @daniellegfnyAnother one bites the dust! Cynique has succeeded in agitating another smug windbag. Now go on back to peddling your books. You are not a visionary and your hopes will not be fulfilled. OK. having a hard time keeping up with 2 conversations and a new page.
  10. What question did I ask you??
  11. You don’t have the vocabulary to analyze me. I beg to differ. You are definitely a mega-maniac. An old fool Be advised that a compliment from you would be an insult. Capitalism isn’t the problem. You don't know a problem from a solution. BTW, You are not a visionary and your hopes will never be fulfilled. @ProfD Maybe you should've kept that in mind when you questioned the observation i made about black folks in power being racist toward whites.
  12. @daniellegfny I don't make any qualms about being frivolous in my politics. Those who are serious and idealistic about theirs always end up disillusioned, something you with all of your books and store bought wisdom will eventually be. I don't gravitate toward conservative right wing Republicanism. Why? I simply don't like or relate to the people who identify as being of this persuasion. i prefer being on the same side of those with whom i have rapport when it comes to my views on society, keeping in mind that the Democrats and Republicans are the 2 heads of the same capitalistic dragon that is America. For the first 12 years of my life the only president I knew was Franklin Delano Roosevelt, and this is what sealed my loyalties to the Democratic party and over the years through the 15 different presidents and 7 major wars, I learned a thing or two, in spite of your trying to dismiss my authenticity. In my 88 years of living, I have witnessed and experienced history, during which time very little changed when it came to the quality of my life. And it should be noted that i am pragmatic not altruistic. Nor am I a political activist. I am just someone who agitates smug people. You are relying on the words authors have written about events, i am recalling and remembering them. In any case i have chosen the side i want to be on so i won't be turning in to you and Mzuri singing the praises of the Republican party. In that discussion, I mentioned that Hip-Hop was created by black folks. We brought Eminem into the game. In typical fashion, white folks catapulted Eminem into the stratosphere because he is one of their own doing black music. I don't see that as scorn and ridicule. Just facts. The system of racism (white supremacy) which is the power to subjugate other groups of people is way beyond and has proven to be far more destructive than a caste system of colorism and elitism. Colorism and elitism within the system of racism is the equivalent of prisoners throwing shade at each other based on complexion and who has better food, housing and clothing. Your observations, though interesting, didn't convince me that black people would not be racist if the tables were turned and they were in control.
  13. @ProfDRight. I'm recalling how scornful you and Pioneer were of Eminem and white rappers, ridiculing the idea that they would infringe on a genre that was black in origin. And surely you are aware of the caste system of colorism and elitism that exists within the black race itself. Every ethnicity thinks they're better than other ones and are not above discriminating against or stereotyping different groups. The ruling class always looks down on their underlings. but believe what you want to believe.
  14. @ProfDBecause i read the ongoing dialogue on this site. All everybody does is bad mouth whites and brag about how great the black race is. Why do you think if the tables were turned, and blacks were in the majority, that they would be different?
  15. What I do understand is that you are trapped in the white right wing Retrumpican echo chamber. Why don't you try reading something other than what reinforces what you want to hear. You are giving just one side of a complex situation. And what you are saying is that your side is totally right and has a monopoly on the truth and the other side, whose policies you don't like, is totally wrong and is lying. Sorry. There are too many other blacks who I respect and admire who I have heard debunk what you are saying and i trust their veracity more than i do yours. So you can prate and believe whatever you are regurgitating, but I choose not to swallow what you vomit. You do not belong to my tribe. You reside in an alternate universe. And for that I am grateful. BTW Biden got more votes than Trump and won the 2021 presidential election. Oh, and also, you are not a visionary and your hopes will not be fulfilled.
  16. @daniellegfnyYou are perfectly describing yourself because you are doing nothing but parroting right wing conservative rhetoric A black Liberal pundit could counteract you big time. You totally missed what i implied when i said Trump lackeys couldn't fix their mouths to call Biden "president",- the reason being that they go along with the Retrumpican narrative of the election being rigged. Forked tongued disciples of trumpism use semantics to create their reality. You are a dreamer if you think you will ever have a government that will not exploit its citizens, or a that a happy life is a guaranteed right of every human being. Your philosophy is the stuff of fairy tales, not reality. Take a lesson from the law of the jungle. BTW, I don't pretend to be a black crusader. And unlike you, i don't take myself too seriously. I let black people fend for themselves. And did I mention that you are not a visionary and your hopes will be never fulfilled.
  17. @Mzuriand @daniellegfny you 2 can't process the idea that your world view is out of kilter and neither of you have an objective bone in your body. Most of your Republican comrades can't even fix their mouths to say that Biden is president. and they are in total denial about the fact that the January 6th attack was an act of sedition, and that those crazy spineless bunch of obstructionist senators and congressmen put party before country. Retrumpicans are a bunch of loony dip shits and you overlook this, trying to portray them as a noble vanguard of a new world order. I am not touting Democrats as being perfect or flawless but they are not the sinister villains that your deep state paranoid conspiracy theories portray them and, in fact, they need to be more ruthless when dealing with you Republican snakes in the grass. Daniel is a least consistent in thinking that he's a black messiah whose word is the gospel, but you Mzuri talk out of both sides of your devious mouth. I'm tempted to call you right wing trolls who have come on this site to promote your politics, and I consider the source when you start spouting your political tripe. Whatever. I certainly don't want to be on the same side as either of you. You are not my tribe. Nor do I give a damn what you think about me. Blabber on. As for white supremacy, it is as American as apple pie. it's all about finding ways to slice it up. Everybody has their theory about it. Institutionalized racism is the problem. A white racist individual is only as powerful as his resources allow him to enforce his racism. If they could, black people would be extremely racist against white people. But as it is, they can only be racially biased.
  18. @MzuriOoooooh shut up. You're full of malice and insanity and distortions. I'm not interested in your bitchin or your skewed world view. Waa Waa Waa! The sky is falling! Duck, Chicken Little! Nobody is more kooky than you and your silly playground mentality. Anything bad or inconvenient that happens to you is well deserved. I'm doing just fine. Since you have all the answers just sit tight and let the bad ol Democrats implode and the wonderful party of trump take over then you and your fellow yahoos can live happily ever after in your alternate reality. Until that time, pace the floor in your asylum and pop your pills and spam this site with your innocuous blather. @daniellegfnyYou're entitled to your opinions and I'm entitled to my skepticism. I'm not arrogant, I'm just in touch with a different reality.
  19. @daniellegfnyi don't buy into anything you say. You are not even a visionary. Nothing you hope for will come to pass. Don't ask me how I know this. But I do. I do.
  20. @MzuriHere you come stumbling with your half-assed, cherry-picked strawman argument. Who said anything about the KKK - or racism? Nobody but you and your irrelevant references! But just for the record, Southern Democrats headed by Mississippi Senator Strom Thurman bolted the Democrat party in the 1960s, disgruntled about Liberal Democrats supporting the civil rights movement's mission to eliminate Jim Crowism in the South. This defection by who would later become known as "Dixiecrats" fit right in with racist Richard Nixon's strategy to turn the south Republican. This is history I witnessedI Yesterday's southern Democrats were the forerunners to today's southern Republican white supremacists. So, where's your trumped up rationale for the neo nazis finding a welcome home in the Republican party? And your cock-eyed opinion about Obama amounts to nil in my book, not to mention Larry Elder being a stupid lookin dork; just your type. This is 2021 and Biden has redeemed himself by his diversified picks for cabinet posts; that and the fact that he settled for being second in command to a black president. So take your patented right wing crap and stuff it.
  21. A Republican whose name escapes me once said that the Welfare system is black people's reparation. The Japanese Americans who were interred in concentration camps during World War II were compensated by this country and all of the casinos run by native Americans are the results of reparations these indigenous people have received. i always thought one form of reparations for black people should be to guarantee every black child a free college education at any HBCU or vocational school of their choice, A win-win situation for the schools and the students. A good investment in their futures There are groups out there now actively campaigning for black reparations.
  22. Soooo, does the "Republican" party have any plans to exorcise the fascistic neo nazis, and the disgruntled southern white supremacists, and hypocritical Evangelicals yearning for a theocracy, and the domestic terrorists masquerading as patriots? These are the "demons" who make up the GOP rank and file, folks who don't flock to the Democratic party, stiffs who now never think of elections in any terms other than "we won" or "da votin was rigged" Too bad the naive Democrats haven't figured out the reason democracy has failed is because of its "majority rule" tenet. The majority in this country being most of the population who don't care about anything other than their own self interest. And they rule. A "dislike for the unlike" is their credo and the bleeding heart Liberal platitude about "lifting others as we climb" is an idea that makes them wince. America, the beautiful. Not. Still, the Democrats are my tribe. They are my kind of people, right or wrong. I like 'em. Which is as good a reason as any to support them. To me, Jimmy Carter is a better role model than Ronald Reagan, Barack Obama a cooler dude than Larry Elder, Stacey Abrams more capable than Candace Owens, Nancy Pelosi shrewder than Marjorie Taylor Green, Chris Cuomo smarter than Tucker Carson. No apologies. My tribe. As I once tried to explain before i was taken to task for thinking my post office job was easier than "her" government job, i lead a life of leisure which enables me to stay under the radar. So none of this political BS really matters to me. I've divorced my race and am separated from my country. zzzzz
  23. @Pioneer1In your dreams. You sarcastically declared me Del's biggest fan, and my returning the favor by saying Mzuri' is your biggest fan, was all you needed to go into your fantasy about me being jealous of her because I want all of your obnoxious attention, - something that just makes me find you even more revolting.
  24. Since the latter part of this discussion made mention of my reference to abstract thinking, and those who disagreed with what they thought my definition of abstract thinking is, let me make myself clear. To me, abstract thinking has to do with ideals and symbols - thoughts not things, hypothetical speaking - all of which reside in the realm of the imagination, as opposed to the immediacy of the physical world. Also, the phrase: "he who knows not and know not that he knows not is a fool" is a quote; somebody else's words, not mine.
  25. Head coach Nagy was who brought Justin into the fold. Some folks are saying the prospect of the Bears moving out of Soldier Field in Chicago to a venue in the suburb of Arlington Heights has something to do with the situation. The owners of the Bears are the real problem, others say.
