Black. Men. Becoming. Feminine.
It doesn't. However it serves as a method of Black population control. Something the racists strive for.

....But What About When Black Women Are Disrespected?
ProfD i didn't hear racism in what dude said. I heard his cultural upbringing come out. My sentiments exactly. It was rude the way he spoke to her, but I didn't hear racism. This is one of the reasons this incident got my attention. They love to get on Black folks for calling something "racist" when they FEEL there is no evidence that race had anything to do with it, yet so many people are doing that very same thing with THIS incident. And really, it was the same with the attacks on Asian people that USED to happen a few years back but all of a sudden magically disappeared. They showed Asian people being attacked but outside of it being non-Asians doing the attacking....there was no actual evidence that the assaults were racially motivated. Yet the media MADE race a factor in it and so did Congress. It seems that whether words are exchanged or not....most people instinctively know that if a person of ONE race is attacked or mistreated by a person of ANOTHER race....racism is usually a factor. In western society, I believe women are respected to a slightly hugher degree than within other cultures. Black women and every other group in the US has a right and voice to stand up for themselves. It's not like those countries where they get killed for speaking up or too loudly. And you know what? They have BLACK MEN to thank for that! Not just Black women but ALL women should be thanking Black men for that comfort! Why? Because White, Arab, Latino, and Asian men all know that WE are the viable alternative if their own men don't treat them right and start trying to control them too much and abuse them. Back in their own countries where there are no other men....especially Black men...around as competition, they treat their women any kind of way and dog them out. The women have no other options BUT to put up with it. But in America where they work, live around, and go to school with Black men on a routine basis and probably already had a brutha or two push up on them and have heard stories from their friends who HAVE been with Black men, they KNOW their value and KNOW that the man they're ain't the only option. THEY know it and the MEN of their communities know it too. So as long as that Black dick is in the vicinity....they're scare out of their wits to treat their woman the way they really WANT to treat her because they know it's so easy for her to take a stroll over to the Black side. This includes White women. If Black men weren't in this country, White women would be all wrapped up in bonnets and forced to have babies living in worse conditions than those women under the Taliban.

NYC mayral thoughts a conclusion
Exactly. With some people, no matter how many opportunities you give them or how much wealth you give them....they'll find a way to fuck it up and will fuck up YOUR life too if you let them. This isn't most poor people obviously, but a lot of them. I've been homeless before and saw quite a few people who came from wealth and privilege but ended up in that condition from poor decision making and just being plain ole stupid.

....But What About When Black Women Are Disrespected?
I've briefly followed a story recently where apparently some Asian man who was speaking at a beauty pageant talked rudely to a Mexican contestant and in a show of solidarity against his "racism" most of the women got up and walked out. Here's a brother doing a show about the incident: I have a few questions about this incident: 1. Although he was indeed rude, what did he say that was racist or anti Latino? 2. Do they consider just TALKING to a Latina woman in that manner "anti-Latino" or "anti-woman"? 3. When we see video after video of bosses, police officers, and other public figures talking rudely and even being violent with Black women...where is the solidarity with THEM? 4. Apparently the Director apologized....lost his position...and then came on and apologized some more. Ok. But he didn't have to....nor did he have to be fired. This reminds me of incidents where LGBTQ members are insulted or disrespected and people come out apologizing and bending over backwards to make amends to them. They don't have THAT much power or influence. They certainly don't have the power or influence AfroAmericans have...yet they are often GIVEN more respect and concession for some reason. They don't have to boycott stores or riot in the streets. Yet so many people come running to their rescue at any HINT of disrespect.

Black. Men. Becoming. Feminine.
Excellent observation Harry Too many of these young bruthaz are becoming sissified. And it's nothing new. I remember the first time I went to the campus of the famed Morehouse, down in Atlanta. This was back in the early 90s. I knew it was supposed to be an all male college, but I kept seeing "girls" in tight skirts and hip-huggers walking around holding books up to their chests and flinging their hair. I thought they may have been visitors too, or maybe some of the girls from Spelman were there hanging out. The female Administrator I was with pointed out to me that they weren't females at all! When I took a closer look at them, I saw baby beards and mustaches and strong looking faces behind fucked up make-up! This was around September or October when I visited so I asked her were they doing this for Halloween or something, and she told me they were exercising their "rights" to express themselves....or some bullshit. Then I started noticing this on college campuses around the country. But that incident reminded me of a scene in Spike Lee's "School Daze" when a few of the students were being harassed at a KFC by some street dudes and one of them (played by Samuel L. Jackson) did a limp wrist gesture and asked "Was it true what they said about Mission Men?" I got the joke....insinuating that the men of their college were gay or effeminate. However I didn't realize how that joke came about or how close it hit home UNTIL I actually visited Morehouse and saw it for myself. Many Black men have simply GIVEN UP on being men. They live in a society that often times doesn't appreciate their manhood or masculinity. Also, because many of them don't have fathers in their lives growing up.....they haven't learn HOW to be effective men. I'm over 50 and not what one would call a "pretty boy"...lol...but when it comes to attracting women at my job I run RINGS around most of the dudes under 30. Most of the men over 45 or 50 do. Because we come from a generation where we learned to act like and think like MEN. A lot of younger men.....of all races....tend to have a more "gender neutral" mentality that simply doesn't attract most women or make them feel secure. They can have a CONVERSATION with them all day and night...but they don't seem to invoke any type of attraction or magnetism because the masculinity isn't there. Some White men have recognized this and they try to teach their boys hunting and survivalism and try to instill some "tough guy" habits in them at an early age, but it usually doesn't stick. The society is bent on feminizing the younger generation of boys.

richardmurray Loosies? You mean, kinda like what they did with cigarettes? If they're selling butter in "2 stick" packs, I may have to take a quick trip to the NYC to witness this for myself...lol. ProfD I'd argue there are several GOOD reasons why a person....even in the world's wealthiest country...would be poor, hungry, and homeless.

Not On My Watch: Sista Ain't Playing.....lol.
Lol...it depends on who you ask. There's a few people who are STILL in love with both Left Eye AND Aaliyah and play their songs religiously. They remember them like yesterday afternoon. Infact, I know quite a few young people who...for whatever reason....resonate heavily with Aaliyah. Young women. "Daaaaaayummmm..... Looks like our lil' cousin Tracy done CAME UP in the world!" "Looks like we might have to pay our lil' cuz a visit. Have ourselves a nice little FAMILY REUNION over at Big Momma's House."

ProfD Don't know much about Bahamadia, but as for the rest of them on that list........ I wouldn't put it past any of them to have taken a toke or toot at some point in their career for either inspiration or recreation...lol. Now if you had said Chuck D or KRS One or Kam......then you'd have a stronger argument...lol.

Not On My Watch: Sista Ain't Playing.....lol.
I was thinking the same thing for half a second....lol....then it occurred to me that some people INHERIT their homes also. Picture THIS script: Some dumbass half-retarded boy who spent most of his life in and out of jail; but because his MAMA was smart and industrious enough to save money and purchase a home, he became heir to it after she passed away. He didn't have to do anything....but be born....and not die before she did. I'm not saying people shouldn't be able to inherit property. He can have it, as long as he keeps his troubled ass in the house and minds his own business. Just don't give that fool a weapon....lol.
