The question is the following
Does one need to be moved in any job/paid labor based on age?
I argue age/phenotype/gender/language/religion are all racial categories that in a advertised meritocracy are dysfunctional measures.
If age or similar physical racial category is not a valid measure to remove someone from a job/paid labor, what is?
A quality measure can be used. In sport a coach has the squads record while they are guiding, an athlete has their statistical achievements.
What is the quality measure for an elected official?
the voting itself.
What is the quality measure for a producer of films?
the average revenue or average percentage of cost of a film produced in a time range
What is the quality measure for an educator in schools/colleges/universiites?
An average score of the students after tests.
All labors have a quality assessment and non are even.
Voters quality makes the quality of their vote suspect
audiences quality makes their ticket sales suspect
students homelife make their educational quality suspect
I end with, no assessment is absent a negative critique. But, no labor should be given or allowed based on age.

My reply
Well...
if the elected officials of a certain age need to be removed from an office or denied an office to allow for better quality elected officials, then I concur. But if the younger elected officials have the same quality or worse quality then I don't see the purpose in an age limit.
