  1. Yes, young people of this generation seem to be obssessed with Tik Tok. If you could hear some of the young kids speak about it in school. It seems like a losing battle for parents who even attempt to regulate the amount of time their children are on their smart phones and etc.
  2. 70+ Japanese & Asian American Organizations Wrote President Biden a letter to give African Americans Reparations. December 2022. I am so grateful for these Japanese and Asian humanitarians! My heart goes out to them. In this video, it was mentioned by the Japanese the awful hardship that they endured in the concentrations camps here in America when they were severely persecuted during the World War, nevertheless, today, some of them have come forward to plead the present status of African Americans today. Again, I believe that there is something going on politically, globally, and at a high level about the issue of African American DOS over here in America regarding Reparations and a lot of interest is based on the ancient scriptures. And I believe that some ‘officials’ are working hard to suppress this global interest and also, they are trying to downplay it to African American DOS. I remember back in the very first term of POTUS Barack Obama and prior to him even being elected as president that he firmly stated that he did not believe African Americans should get reparations. So, I believed back then as I do now, that was the very reason why he was already chosen to be president in the first place long before the vote even began. Is Obama the Herod of our modern times? Like many different kings of people that are now defined as being ‘African American’ today, Barack Obama would not be defined as an African American Descendant of Slaves here in America. His father was Kenyan, and his mother was a White woman, no matter though, he has become the face for all African Americans today, whether we are FBA, AADOS, or immigrants or ‘other’. I think that his slogan in his first election was ‘Change’ and then the second term it was about the ‘Inclusion’ for LGBTQ+ Federal law that was passed. My has times changed. Nevertheless, the issue of Reparations is still lurking about and underlying every other law that has been passed to help others. I am reminded about the recent issue of Immigration laws too, and once again, I remember how Obama defined us African American DOS as being immigrants. However, it was the famous Black Surgeon, Ben Carson, who made this statement after Obama, that most Black people attacked. No matter what though, again, this burdensome issue of Reparations continues.
  3. This is interesting, @Troy in that there has been a huge drop in the amount of promotion and marketing behind Black books. I did do a little research to find out how my interests in certain subjects faired amongst the book publishing industry. What I found that was so alarming is the type of books that many publishers are in demand of and I wonder if this is why you have these observations. There is a huge change today in the kind of categories listed as opposed to the past! For example, I saw the acronym BIPOC and also the category of Diverse Literature in the list and thought, WOW this is kind of new to me. But what really was striking is the demand for LGBTQ+ authors! That is something that was not in the list back in the day! And so, yes, I wonder if this is a reason why there is a drop in specifically, books written by Black authors and being promoted and marketed by major book publishers. Are many Black authors now falling in the category of Diverse Literature or LGBTQ+ category? Now, I do see that there are publishers that definitely list that they want African American authors but now, are these authors listed under BIPOC, Black, Indigenous, People of Color category? I think times have dramatically changed in the book pubishing and book writing genre of today. I can't see myself competing with these writers. Maybe I could fit in the BIPOC category.
  4. Yes, there is so much of that going on now. Since you posted this, @Stefan I watched a few news media coverage of this man and the subway attack, and he is pure evil. What a sick mind. Oh yes! On this note, I see a lot of coverage about a recent murder of four young kids in Moscow, Idaho. A man has been arrested and believed to be the one to commit this insane act. Whoever did it, though, hopefully, will be caught. So far, I am not sure the guy they have is the one, but I have been following the news, and he does seem like a good candidate. Bryan Kohberger.
  5. Yes, and too much of this is so damaging to a person, but wealthy people benefit. So, for the few minorities that benefit, it is a success for them. I agree, but also, there needs to be a balance of both. Staying too oneself, being alone and indulging in imagination too long can be detrimental. And then, being a social person to the extreme seems like a sign of insecurity.
  6. @Delano Thank you. I highly appreciate your insight! Your statement hits on so many different levels.
  7. Yes, @Pioneer1 He seems to be on a mission. I some of his other videos too. This is definitely much different for the statues of the past. Oppression is hard to look at though no matter what. The many depictions of lynchings that had been pushed in our faces reminds me of this point that you are making. However, I do love this effort and the parade showing how significant the issue is of the African Americans in the United States of American, one of the most powerful governments of all times in this earth. I am so happy to see that Africa, espeicailly in the Horn of Africa, has responded in this way. I just believe that somthing like this would soon happen from the AU and now, here it is. The statue of this girl is so hard to look at, but her face is so beautiful. She reminds me of my own Great Grandmother who was stolen from that very area when she was about six years old.
  8. Yes, but this doesn't surprise me @ProfD. The fact that Italy were the ones to actually colonize Eritrea and make attempts in Ethiopia, an effort that goes way back to the time of Rome, Italy. But I can appreciate that. And like Italy, there are others in the Western leagues that are trying to make some sort of statement about what has happened over here in America. I understand. And no, I don't believe it will ever end if mankind is allowed to practice slavery and I also believe too, that God will continue to allow it but not everywhere, though. The whole purpose of prophecy and the Second Coming is being completely missed due to miseaducation. IMO, it will take TIME AND A SEASON, meaning a thousand years for Judgment to be complete as a result of human sacrifice. JESUS is not coming to take people up somewere in the clouds but he's coming back to earth to be a governor of his own kingdom and he will set this right but there will be a lot of violence though, for a while. There will be NO COLONIZERS getting into his land. There will be a lot of whoremongers, no matter what color they are, trying to get out of their caves and hostile environments once this earth is ripped up but, they won't be getting into this new land.
  9. Well, it took me a while to realize that the statue is of a girl in jail clothes. She even has a number printed on her jumpsuit. That to me is eerie. However, I absolutely know what the scriptures say about making images and this may be what you are not able to put your finger on, as you say. However, this will probably be one of those sins that will be PASSED OVER due to the eerie point being made in this parade about African Americans.
  10. I was surprised to see this today! And in AFrica! However, I do want to note that this video was shared by a blogger that pushes the 'Go Back to Africa' idea, of which, I absolutely do not agree with for today and for these times. I strongly believe that African Americans should stake their claim here, in America and deal with the issues that have caused us to be shipped out of Africa!--in the first place! I do believe that, inevitably, there will come a time in which there will be mass movements of people relocating from one place to another in this world that will be sparked due to an abrupt natural catastrophe of some sort, but until that happens, we should be wise on the issue of relocating and running from one place to another. Maybe there will come a time where it will be the right thing to do, and go back to Africa and for the ones that do go, I think it is good if they can financially go and get set up in Africa, but as a movement sponsored by some group for a mass movement-- Uh we need to think about that and realize that we could leave one place and then go into another place and have much more detrimental experiences! It just seems like a crazy idea, for African Americans to set themselves up to be refugees anywhere. I just cannot believe the movements that have come about to "solve the problem of the slave trade" even since the Marcus Garvey Movement. In the 1940s when this movement occurred, there were European Jews with their movement going back to Palestine! And then too, there were some secret movements of shipping the Original African Jews too, back to the Middle East. This world is insane with their inhumane behaviors against certain groups of people. When will it all end?
  11. Sunset laws? I need to do some research. Yes, @Stefan I agree in that there are nice neighborhoods everywhere and I remember reading about how certain programs were set up to keep Black people out too. Also, about what @Pioneer1spoke about in California, well, I remember hearing about how, Ida B. Wells was part of a movement where Black people left in great numbers due to racism. And, there is a lot of history about that too, during the Reconstruction Era. But no, I don't believe that is the right thing to do in California. I don't believe that Black people should exit because of the racism. Today is different from those time periods and so, I think we need to rethink how to deal with the issues of today concerning racism.
  12. What!? @Stefan Thanks for this! This is news to me. I've hear so many other reasons that the Statue of Liberty was erected and completely missed that one! History seems to make circles.
  13. Who’s Who!? In Memory of the Pointer Sisters' Career Okay, it took me hours to figure out who is who of the Pointer Sisters. And so, since I read that many people had the same problem that I did, I decided to put some names to some of the pictures of the sisters. After researching and listening to their music for hours, I really can say, I believe they are so awesome and will cherish their memory. Three of the Pointer sisters have passed and now, only one is still alive and I hope that she will live on for many more years to come. At any rate following is a brief historical account of each of the sisters and their pictures just in case anyone was trying to figure out who is who! [1] Ruth Pointer is the oldest sister, and she is still living! [2] Anita Pointer is the next in line and she is the one that just passed away on December 31, 2022, at the age of 74. [3] Bonnie Pointer is the third sister and she passed away recently too, in 2020 at the age of 69. [4] June was the baby and she passed away first, at the young age of 52 in 2006. They have two brothers and so, there were six (6) of them all born to their parents, Reverend Elton Pointer, and mother, Sarah Pointer. They are from Arkansas, but the family moved to California with the girls who were very young. Initially, it was the two youngest girls, Bonnie, and June, that started the group. They started a duet and began to sing in a community choir. And when Anita saw them perform, she was so amazed that she decided to quit her job and join them. Finally, in the early 1970s, the oldest sister, Ruth joined the last. Their first hit was a country western song and to their surprise, they became nominated for a Grammy! They recorded the song called Fairytale, in Nashville, Tennessee. This song became so popular that Elvis Presley asked them could he sang it and so, he also made the song popular and sang it for many years. The sisters act included their style of clothes, vintage. But Ruth later wrote a book and in it, she shared all of the ups and downs they experienced throughout their career. So now, is a breakdown on each of the girls. [1] June, the baby of the family, my favorite[!], suffered a lot of hardship even before the fame. She was gang raped and never got over the horror. Early in the 1970s, her sisters forced her to go to a rehabilitation center to deal with her alcohol problem and she had major problems with drugs too. Sometimes, she is the one in the group that sported a beautiful afro. I finally was able to distinguish her in the group because she had a distinct overbite. Since she was the youngest, her sisters doted over her though. Anita once told the story about how, in the hotel room, they were trying to decide on what to wear for a performance, and June refused to wear what they decided, so she went into the bathroom and set hers on fire in the bathtub! Again though, June was never able to get over her earlier trauma and continued to do drugs. In 2006, she was admitted to the hospital in February and found to have severe cancer. She died a few months later in April. June never had any children. Prior to June’s death, three of the sisters appeared on a talk show with their mother Sarah and even at this time, June was having problems with drugs and alcohol. [2] Bonnie is the third daughter, and she seems to be a little more darker complexion in the group photos. However, part of the reason I had a hard time figuring out who was who is because in the earlier photos, they all looked much more darker skinned than they were later! Also Bonnie seems to be the shortest of the group, but to my surprise, the Pointer sisters are all sort of tall! Now, Bonnie’s real name is Patricia. And, she left the group early. She left the group in 1977 to become a solo act and she also married around that same time. Her husband was in the music industry and for some reason, it seems like although they stayed married for many years, they drifted apart later. They stayed married for about 35 years and then divorced. Bonnie never had any children. She became close to her sister Anita. [3] Anita was the second daughter born to her mother Sarah, and she became known to be the most levelheaded sister in the group. It took me a while to distinguish Anita. In the early pictures, she is easy to distinguish because she had a very obvious gap in her teeth. After she joined the group, she became one of the main lead vocalists of the sisters. And she is the one that sang the lead on the first hit, Fairytale. I think the baby, June, sang the lead on the hit, Jump. Now, Anita also wrote a book called, Fairytale, and the book cover features all of the sisters in vintage clothes. In 2003, Anita’s daughter, Jada, died at the age of 37 due to cancer. And, it hit her very hard. She was also divorced. [4] Ruth is the oldest and she said that she was a wild child. She seems to me, to be the tallest of the girls. She too is one of my favorites. In one talk show, Ruth, humorously explained that one of the songs was initially written for a male voice and her sister’s decided that they wanted to sing that song. When it was asked, who will sing the base, they all said, “Well, Ruth can sing that part!” And Ruth said some people heard the song and thought that the deep voice was a man. After a while, I can now distinguish Ruth and June in group acts, but at times, it takes me a while to figure out Bonnie and Anita. Prior to Ruth joining the group, she said that she got pregnant at the age of 17 and married. She was married a total of five times! Initially, she had to get on welfare and at this time, she became addicted to drugs, alcohol and sex. She also explained that she had a child with the Temptation’s singer, Dennis Edwards, and she said that she stole him from Aretha Franklin. He too became addicted to drugs and was eventually kicked out of the Temptations. One day, Ruth became so sick that she was told she would die if she did not stop doing drugs and alcohol. So she did and soon after had gained a lot of weight. She soon met her fifth husband at a gym and they have been married for 25 years. At the time of this marriage, she was already a grandmother but wanted to have children again. She also had her tubes tied, so she found a donor and eventually had fraternal twins in 1993. ruth It was only a few years later and after this time period that the hardship began with the deaths in the family. The father was the first to pass in 1979. Mother Sarah died in 2000. In 2003, Anita’s daughter Jada died. Three years later, in 2006 June Pointer died. And then due to alcoholism, Bonnie also had severe health problems. She died in 2020. And now, Anita Pointer has just passed. Ruth and the two beloved brothers are still living. For the sisters that have passed; May they all rest in peace. The Pointer Sisters (L-R) June, Ruth, Bonnie and Anita Pointer are pictured in this photo dated Jan. 16, 1974. https://sandrarose.com/2020/06/rip-pointer-sisters-star-bonnie-pointer-dies-at-69/ From left to right; June, Bonnie, Anita, Ruth Pointer—The Pointer Sisters left to right; Ruth, Anita, Bonnie, June L/R June, Anita, and Ruth Carol Burnette Show; My Fair Lady--The Pointer Sisters from L/R; Bonnie, Ruth, Anita, and June Pointer The Carol Burnette Show; Save the Bones For Henry Jones; The Pointer Sisters from l/r; l/ R Bonnie [green scarf], Ruth [yellow scarf], and Anita [blue scarf] The Carol Burnette Show; Cinderella Gets It On; The Pointer Sisters l/r; Anita, Ruth, and Bonnie Pointer L/R; Bonnie, June, Ruth and Anita Pointer Ruth Pointer on "Automatic" (The Pointer Sisters) Ruth Pointer on The Pointer Sisters (Apollo Theater Soundstage)

  15. ITALY For African Americans; In ETHIOPIA—A Statue Of Liberty Constructed Yes, there is something going on in the world about the issue of Reparations, all over the world. But I also believe that there are people working very hard to suppress it. Ever since the United Nations brought the issue of Reparations to the floor some years ago, I get the sense that there are all sorts of quiet ‘Movements’ that have been started. And because of the Biblical scriptures about the Hebrew Israelites that were prophesized to be victims of the Transatlantic Slave Trade amongst so many other kinds of African victims, well, I also believe that more and more, this issue will be contentious in the Middle East and in the Horn of Africa where the Habesha people are concentrated. Ever since the breakup of the Cold War and the 9/11 Attacks, I believe that global conflicts have been happening more frequently. These are some strange times that we are living in right now.
  16. ITALY BUILT A STATUE OF LIBERTY -- of AN AFRICAN AMERICAN--In Chains. This Statue is Displayed in Africa--Ethiopia.
  17. Yes, and I remember too, that Obama spoke against it as well. True, but I still believe that eventually something will happen, no matter how hard this issue is kicked against. Certainly true. I think it will take a supernatural occurrence for this earth to purge from this great evil of chattel slavery. Heck, I believe that in some places in the world, slavery is probably still occurring. At any rate, no matter how hard racist people kick against it, Black people should never let them forget it and continue to charge this system with reparations due to us. So, I am very happy to hear this news.
  18. This media age is crazy! But, it's good to think about this issue of what will happen or what does happen with individual files when people die. It could be correlated to the death of a star, maybe. If that person did not make a stamp on humanity, a name amongst many, of their life, then I suppose all of their personal data being deleted would not be important to anyone. But certainly, if someone allowed a teen child to get ahold of their smartphone and take nude pics of themselves and sent it to a classmate, then the law should step in. If someone took nude pics of their toddler and send to a doctor, well, that might need to be regulated by the law, to prevent perverts from abusing this type of privilege. So, this media age is crazy! I don't want to lose some of my files either, but hope to make a good finish of my life in script and hopefully, not have my words perverted by evildoers.
  19. And on that score @Pioneer1I believe in what @Troy always alludes to in that we all come from one source, one human origin 'race'. I stress though that this is true in the male human origin of the modern mankind. The YDNA genetics are full proof. I am grateful for White folks for RE-INTRODUCING Jesus back to us, because as a Black Christian, I know that this is NO CONSPIRACY TALK. Jesus Christ, is the only way. Ancient Blacks rejected their own Black cultures and became obssessed with the Romans. The Romans set up a slave system and White Supremacy and Black enslavement. Our ancestors got what they deserved. Now the White folks that say, Jesus is White, now that is a conspiracy. The ones that push that December 25 is when 'the Jesus of the Bible was born', yes, that is a conspiracy. The Jesus of America, the Anti-Christ, was born on December 25, but the Jesus of the Bible was born on a different day. The Jesus of the Bible is a Black man and again, I am grateful that this knowledge was given back to Black people to read and confirm for themselves. It's frustrating too, that the Black Church supports lies and do not profess the truth. We need truth for a better future. Yes, and I'm sure that you remember a couple of posters that came into this very community with that belief and you interacted with them on this very subject. It's good to hear you speak on this now.
  20. This is why Black people believe Jesus was born December 25. LOL. They believe the White man without confirming whether or not, the Word of God even states this and have went out to support the White man in discarding the Bible and as Farrakhan said, the Church, meaning BLack Preachers are one of the main ones to support this confusion. Absolutely, @Pioneer1 This is where the White Supremacist were able to define Black people as being 2/3rds of an human being. They lie, and many of us have accepted their lies, then they mock us and then made a law about us being 2/3rds human. Crazy! yes.
  21. The ancient scriptures clearly speaks against idolatry though. So people do what they want to do and suffer the consequences. That was the very reason why Moses was not allowed to cross over to the Promised land, because he did something that caused the people to see him as an idol, therefore, God told him he had to died in Sinai Peninsula and could not cross over. [16] And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life? [17] And he [Jesus] said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments. ST MATTHEW 19:16-17.
