The man is free to make the choice he feels is best. You and I may disagree with the candidates he prefers but it is his right to pick who he believes represents his beliefs. I never understood this monolithic rigid black group think. It's as if Negroes have consciously confined themselves to a "Black Borg". I just read something a black woman posted on Youtube in response to a video. She asked the question, "Why is that black people restrict themselves to vicious adolescent name calling and personal attacks when someone posts a video disagree with? Instead of debating the issue, they resort to caustic name calling -never a cogent response or debate". She is right. I see this kind of behavior all the time. The issue or message of the poster is not addressed -only name calling. The reason is simple -they lack the intellectual and linguistical skills to articulate a compelling argument. So, the do what they do best -descend to emotional histrionics and ranting. E'nuff said.....

Name-calling and articulating an intelligent argument are not mutually exclusive and all name-calling isn't profane or vile,  As long as it is creative and accurate in the context of making a legitimate comparison it is not a sin.  Many intellectual wits down through the ages have engaged in name-calling and their quotes are famous.

This is true. I agree. However, when acerbic and emotional Negroes address many of the videos I have seen on Youtube, the posters who give honest and heartfelt opinions about bad behavior and dysfunction about the so-called black community, they are rewarded with tirade of vile names, profanity, personal attacks and race baiting. Now, to be honest, name calling doesn't really bother if it is accompanied with a reasonable rebuttal or an intelligent response. BUT ITS NOT! For example, calling someone "a boot licking coon...sell out nigga...self hating uncle tom...bitch azz nigga...weak azz punk...etc and that's it!" THAT IS THEIR RESPONSE! Never an intelligent critique of why the person is wrong or why they disagree.

I have been bounced from a number of black forums because of my...um..unpopular opinions. But I never posted bogus information or statistics, used profanity nor vicious preemptive personal attacks. EVERYTHING I SAID WAS TRUE! In fact, when I requested for them to point out where I lied or posted false information, the response was, "It's not that you told a lie, That's not the point. I just don't like the way you said it". And I was told that more than once! So, if I am not lying but telling the truth -why all the bitterness and angst? If the "truth" makes someone apoplectic and bitter -what does that say about the individual? Go figure!

I simply stated my opinion about a condition or situation. The majority of the times -there was never a civil nor intelligent counter-response. Just racist name calling and personal attacks. One time, a poster was so angry -he challenged me to a fight! He angrily told me what he would do to me if he ever met me! WTF?? Who does that?? Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha!

Oh boy youtube can get pretty bad. In fact any forum can get bad.

I believe I've hurled a “self hating uncle tom” or two over the years on this forum, but in recent years I've spent more time trying to explain how meaningless it is.

There are people who get their kicks pissing people off hurling insults behind the safety of a computer screen and an avatar.  I believe these are the majority of people saying these things 'cause you know those, bitch azz niggas, would never be that bold in person.

Unfortunately a meaningful part of managing this website is removing such comments.

LOL.  I was defending name-calling because I do it, very often using descriptive adjectives and phrases as opposed to a single "name".   It's a part of my arsenal and, if need be, I include it in my rebuttals. It is also an handy tool when ridiculing your antagonist. Very often those who complain about name-calling do so in lieu of giving an intelligent retort.  My philosophy continues to be if you can't stand the heat, get outta the damned kitchen. Online debates are not for the faint of heart.  And, - I can take it as well as dish it out! :D

BTW, I wasn't aware that YouTube was a discussion forum.  I just go there for music, to see if I can find songs from the past and I mean the past, like 50 or 60 years ago. It makes my day when I get lucky.

You can comment on the vast majority of videos posted, which give it the characteristics of a discussion forum.  In terms of social media, youtube is my favorite platform.

  1. You can earn money from your content
  2. They allow you to embed content your website (twitter does this Facebook does not).
  3. They have a dislike button.
  4. Because of all of the above; they have valuable content

Here is a typical comment that I just posted on Youtube. I was still on my Ishmael Reed video watching binge.  Huey Newton said the statement that Jimmy the Greek said about breeding Black people was valid.  Of course that statement is absurd and I made the commented to that effect.

Someone came back and amazingly make the assertion that science back Jimmy the Greek!  It is astonishing that people still believe people can be bred like dogs.  The science today, and the science back then, did not validated what Jimmy the Greek said.

The black is a better athlete to begin with because he's been bred to be that way, because of his high thighs and big thighs that goes up into his back, and they can jump higher and run faster because of their bigger thighs and he's bred to be the better athlete because this goes back all the way to the Civil War when during the slave trade...the slave owner would breed his big black to his big woman so that he could have a big black kid.

This is a ridiculous statement, that many Black people, like Huey Newton believed--event this day.

Jimmy "The Greek" lost his job over making this statement. I think that was a shameful, overreaction.  If people lost their livelihoods over making ignorant statement none of us would have jobs.  It would have been better for us and Jimmy to learn way the statement is stupid, but the media took over, Jimmy lost his job and thirty years later people are still largely ignorant of this issue.

Most Black Republicans seem to support the Republican party because of the rhetoric they espouse without carefully examining their ACTIONS.

You can talk personal responsibility all you want, but when YOU are caught engaging in dishonest and illegal behavior and try to cover it up it makes you little more than a hypocrite.

You can call yourself pro-life all you want, but if you support war and bloodshed, again...hypocrisy.

Most Black Republicans I know are intelligent....they aren't stupid.
They just tend to be naïve and really believe in the "patriotism" and  "values" lie so many Republicans claim to hold.

Don't tell me the same party who's members have gotten RICH off of exploiting the labor of illegal immigrants in this nation are SERIOUS about the immigration policy.

Oh! I have no problems with that. If you are going to name call (yeah –not going to be a hypocrite because I do it also!) at least accompany your name calling with an argument or something of substance that clarifies or defends your opinions. As is said, it not the name calling –it’s only name calling and nothing else. But we all know that those who only name call do so because they lack the ability to present a compelling argument or rebuttal….

Well, as you said, most black republicans are very intelligent and well educated. They are not stupid nor are they the source of the sub cultural dysfunctional and chaos that is a virulent malignancy in segments of black America. Although I personally do not share many aspects of their politics -I think it is very misguided and erroneous to assume they are naive or gullible. They just see things differently. I do not agree with the idea that because someone has black skin they must conform to a particular rigid dogma for no other reason than having black skin.

I dismiss this inane idea that black people must be monolithic in their ideology. For whites (and other non-blacks) - it’s perfectly acceptable to have diametric beliefs and opinions. Ann Coulter and Amy Goodman are both white females -but their ideology is 180 degrees opposite! Sean Hannity and Tim Wise are both white males -but their politics are completely polar! No one says anything about the radical differences in ideology and politics that exists between whites (or other non-blacks). I’ve never heard Tim Wise being called “self-hating” or Ann Coulter labeled a “sell out” by those who disagree with her. But with Negroes –it’s just the opposite!  They are preemptively denied the latitude of diverse opinions and beliefs that others (races and ethnicities) enjoy. This is sad and indefensible….

Have an opinion or belief that differs or contradicts the so-called black group think orthodoxy? OMG! Standby for some serious personal attacks and racist name calling (e.g. white boot licking, house nigga, coon, sell out, uncle Tom, etc..).Again, I completely disagree with all of this reactionary nonsense. If you disagree with someone like Thomas Sowell, Ron Christie, Tim Scott or Larry Elders –fine! State why you disagree and why you believe their opinions are incorrect. But leave the adolescent Negro blood sport of race baiting and name calling out!

Xeon, I put up profiles, on the site, for people like Thomas Sowell (I read most of his books), Shelby Steele, and others.  Occasionally get grief about it from other Black folks.

The stereotypical southern Black has more in common, with the republican platform that the democratic one, anti-gay marriage, Christian, conservative, but votes democratic.  This is why Ben Carson was embraced by southern Blacks--despite the apparent Blacks folks in the major urban centers not understanding this.

Of course Black in our majority urban centers also vote democratic.  As far as are party affiliation is concerned we are a monolithic group.  But that does not matter very much as our concerns have not been much of a factor since the Civil Rights Movement.

During this most recent election cycle we been hearing a lot more about the adverse impact Bill Clinton had on the Black community. As a result, I think Bernie has a strong chance to win the democratic nomination.  If this happens I think the republican--even if it is Trump, which seems likely, will win.:o

The Big Bang was named by the opposing Astrophysicist. It was an attempt to belittle the opposition by giving it a title that is crudely sexual. Do even Astrophysicist resort to name calling.

The southern blacks didn't come through for Carson in the South Carolina Caucus election where he finished last. Carson's support has always come from white Evangelicals, He's never really generated a lot enthusiasm in the black electorate north or south.

Hillary can conceivably distance herself from herself from the sins of her husband, which she and her well-oiled machine have been doing. She was just in Chicago being escorted around the hood by Sandra Bland's  mother.  Bernie just lost the Nevada Caucus, a big set back for his momentum while Clinton's is picking up steam. Me and the media pundits think Hillary will end up with the nomination because, in the end, moderate Democrats will beat out the Progressives, preferring to go with experience and viability as opposed to Bernie's  pie-in-the-sky promises that he can't keep because a Republican Congress will thwart his plans for reform.

Yes, I said most are intelligent and educated.
However education and intelligence doesn't necessarily save one from being a FOOL.
A fool lacks the good judgement to effectively USE those smarts and because of this they are constantly being taken advantage of and exploited by those with better judgement.

Such is the case with most Black Republicans who constantly fall for the lies and rhetoric about self-reliance and morality the Republican establishment brandishes without attempting to exert any effort to live up to their claims.

Except for a handful of CLOWN who are elected to local offices, most Black Republicans get absolutely NOTHING from the party.

NOTHING.

Despite the Republican party's claims to value education, church, freedom from excessive law enforcement and government control......
They refuse to help Blacks (regardless of their political affiliation) with education, healthcare, home ownership, legal assistance, suppport from the NRA, funding for churches., or anything else valued by Conservatives.

Yes but the difference between those Whites mentioned in the examples you gave is all of them can support different beliefs yet still look intelligent for the choices they made.  Why?  Because both White Republicans AND White Democrats are actually GETTING SOMETHING out of thier political affiliation.
They may belong to two different parties, but  BOTH are benefiting from those parties regardless of the differences.

With Blacks it's more one-sided.
They actually benefit from the Democrat party while the vast majority of Black Republicans get NOTHING from the Republican party.

I'm not a Democrat, but atleast Black Democrats get money, prominent positions, government contracts..hell, the Democrats elected President Barack Obama!

Besides empty rhetoric, what are Black people getting from the Republicans that ANY should join the party?????

It's STUPID to belong to any organization that ain't doing a damn thing for you.

Politics make strange bedfellows something that seems to be lost on your imagination as you, in your usual mode of selective thinking, fail to draw obvious conclusions.  Sandra's mother accompanied Hiliary when she met with several mothers  whose kids had been killed on the means streets of Chiraq.  It was undoubtedly all staged so Hillary could shore up her "black lives matter" image in order to generate votes. I guess it never occurred to you that people have been known to drive to Chicago from Naperville, or that the hood is a generic term for the ghetto. Nobody said anything about Bronzeville.

Now go back to ruminating about the non-existent wall, and wallowing in your status as a groupie of the black literati of yore. ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

Puleeze. You're outta your mind. This is my original post in which I said nothing about Bronzeville, which you were so quick to inject into the discussion so you could  inform us that it is an affluent community.   I always edit my posts to correct typos and misspellings, etc.,  but I did not do what you so desperately accused me of doing so you could convince yourself that you "outfoxed" me. I never ever use the term Bronzeville which is an old designation that just started reappearing in the 90s and never made it into my vocabulary. It's all the "South Side" to me.  Nice try.  But no cigar.

You remind me of JAWS.  Just when we think it's safe to go back into the water, you and your supercilious self surface, ready to cherry pick and misrepresent and pat yourself on the back.  I guess if it wasn't for this site and your vibrator, you'd have no life at all.  Poor thing. LMAO

Tsk-Tsk is that our paragon of propriety calling names??  If anybody knows about lying , it's YOU. You are totally incapable of acknowledging that you have ever in your life been wrong about anything, and you'll concoct any scenario it takes to substantiate your aversion to the truth.  Think about it.  As I said, I never use the term Bronzeville, because it is a local one.  People from all over the country come here and while they know about Chi-Town and Chiraq, they don't know a damn about Bronzeville, and neither do I, which is why I never use the term.  I'm not sure what area it covers.  But you were so eager to avail us of your store of knowledge about Chicago that you injected it into the discussion  so you could discredit me as being a non Chicagoan, something else I don't give a damn about.  Then you come up with some crazy-assed rationale reeking with the paranoia that you're afflicted with along with an obsession to "out fox" people.  You're a looney tune if there ever was one.  I repeat.  You give all indications of being unable to stay away from this site because your dysfunctional personality has isolated you from  those you know  and left you lonely and frustrated. But stick around, JAWS.  I enjoy watching a sociopath in action.  ROTFLOL

LOL  Nobody but YOU and all of your delusional obstinacy knows any such thing.  You never respond to anything without posting the passage you are responding to.  Yet you conveniently neglected to do this with my original post, so you could claim that I said Bronzeville instead of Chicago.  But you have no proof of your lie; all you have is your  convoluted explanation as to why Chicago appears in my post and not Bronzeville.  And this is just you being you and your devious psychotic self.  You're really a piece of work and a lying one at that..

How do you know Sandra Bland's mother doesn't know anything about Chicago?  There 's a good chance she's from Chicago as are so many of those living in its suburbs. Plus she was a part of a selected group travelling with Hilliary  so she didn't have to know anything about the city.  First you were losing what little sanity you have over the idea that I am trying to be an expert on Chicago now you're slyly changing your focus from me to her not being a Chicagoan.    SMH.

I have my doubts as to whether YOU currently live in Chicago.

I can't imagine why would Sandra Bland's mother would "escort" Hillary anywhere in Chicago.... since she lives in Naperville, IL. I also find it odd that anyone - except a non-Chicagoan, maybe  - would refer to Bronzeville as "the hood" when the average income in that community is in excess of $60,000/year and over half of its residents have attended college; 1/4th of them having earned a graduate degree. Hardly most people's conception of "da hood....."

This is how it all went down.  Who is the liar here?  Not me. Where is the post where I said the word Bronzeville instead of Chicago?  Why didn't you follow your usual of procedure of cutting and pasting  when commenting on my first post.  Then I couldn't have edited it because you'd have the original version which I couldn't touch. Consequently this phantom version where I supposedly said Bronzeville instead of Chicago is nowhere to be found because it only exists in yours twisted mind and in your desperation to not look like the fool that you are, you whine that I went back and edited my first post.  In my response to your first post,  I justified my use of the word "hood" by suggesting that it is   interchangeable with the word "ghetto" where the children of the mothers who Hilliary and Sandra Bland's met with, were killed. I also made reference to the "mean streets" of Chiraq. Finally I reiterated that I never used the term Bronzeville! Which I didn't! Your distorted version was cobbled together by doing what you do best.  Cherry picking and substituting lies for fact.
