I been checking out this DVD. A scene from it as follows http://www.evtv1.com/player.aspx?itemnum=5036 Enjoyed this performance more than the one by Blatherin Sir Larry (Ole Blackface) even though it was later in Marshall's life, he had an inferior cast, and he was wearing a lavender costume that made him look like Maya Angelou with a mustache (I think the costumer went for "classical" costuming. I think here William Marshall, being black, did not have to act black and just had to sit back and blow. Them lines by the way are ridiculous and reduced several members of the cast to chewing the scenery. Face it--nobody talks like that anymore (and the…

I watched Tyson's Undisputed Truth on HBO the other night. I did not find it entertaining, in fact I could not finish watching it. The anecdotes were not funny to me. The stories were rather tragic and sad. I know Mike is getting paid and that is great, but It seems like Iron Mike is being exploited and I don't particularly care for that.

I almost bought the book, Love Warrior, before I realized that I have no interest in these types of books :-) The video is from a page on Amazon dedicated to this book The page was well designed and I took notes. While I don't have access to an Orpah like pitch person, I'm not sure it matter very much any more. When Oprah's book club was at its peak, the selection for her book club was an eagerly anticipated event followed by a boatload of media attention. Today, not so much attention is paid the selection. In fact, I discovered this by accident: Another website was interested in me replacing the widget on their website, with an AALBC.com widget. Their widg…

My e-book has gone to press and will soon be available for downloading on line. Hard copies will also be for sale. This is the new and improved version of The Only One, my novel about an interracial love triangle that will put the advice of self-appointed relationship guru, Steve Harvey, to shame. It might also make prudes blush. This is not "your grandfather's book". It's your grandmother's hot novel. What this quick-read also has going for it, is that it's a delicious slice of black life, serving up conflicted characters with appetites for lust and cravings for love. Watch for more details on how to check out this upcoming release!

The author of the article, wrote what I thought was an important article on a subject that has gotten virtually no coverage outside of what I have written, so despite the scathing critique, that I've shared above, I'm glad the article was written. However, the paragraph, quoted above, was over the top. The site does not look like it was developed in the late 1990's indeed none of the technologies the site deployed were available in the 1990. RESTED WATERS is the haunting story of Janay Tucker, a young woman who is forced to reflect back on her past and the memories of her tumultuous childhood when she receives notice of her incarcerated father’s death. Rehashing history through the eyes of her paternal grandfather, James Tucker, Janay is made to flash back to a past with an abusive mother who dies a violent death, a father imprisoned for the crime, and the family and friends left to help rebuild her future. Through a tapestry of human encounters, Rested Waters delves into the emotions and experiences of love and turmoi…

I was just asked "What's the Buzz on Sapphire's latest novel The Kid" I just seem to remember it falling flat. I read through the reviews on Amazon - something I never do as I don't know the reviewers and I know many are written to artificially slam (haters) or praise a book (author writing their own reviews). True to form the most of the reviews were 1 star or 5 star. Did anyone here read the book? What did you think? A Mystery novel is defined as one that deals with a puzzling crime, like murder. The crime seems impossible to solve. When the novel is written with suspense it is hard to put the book down once one begins. I read mystery novels because I enjoy the thrill of trying to guess who is responsible for the crimes. I also enjoy writing mysteries. I am interested in having my new novel "A Moving Screen" reviewed. It was published July 22, 2016 in paperback and is also available on amazon.com as an e-book.
