  1. Okay, so, now I will check it out! Thanks for your input. @Pioneer1 Great point @richardmurray YOu know, the little bit of foreign films that I've seen is because of the certain awards programs that I can access that push certain films. Interestingly, a lot of the wone I've watched are insanely good and makes me want to see more. But deep down inside, I believe that some of these films may never make it to my screen because of politics. Some of the foreign films include some controversial issues that I think America does not want to reach Black American minds. But even like in our films, I notice that some of the foreign films depict ancient history in 'non-African' faces, but in reality that is not the truth. So maybe some foreign films make it over here to be shown in the west because some foreign film makers submit to the 'hidden code' of showing history in non-African faces.
  2. zeke1234 Travis King who ran into North Korea a few days ago, under duress of prosecution, is a 'brother' according to photo shown of CNN. Bad choice to run to. All I could do with that one was shake my head and say, "Naaaaawww, brutha...naw" LOL ProfD White Christians clearly have a different interpretation of their religion especially as it relates to how they treat other folks. Interestingly, white Christians will sanction murder and be the 1st in line to kill other folks too. Ofcourse they have a different interpretation of the religion....THEY invented it and know how it operates, lol. They use the scriptures and doctrine that is beneficial for THEM and their purposes and discard or ignore the rest. ....unless it comes in handed for suppressing people of color. I believe this fella and Carlee Russell, the young lady who was supposedly missing for a few days are examples of the unintelligent Black folks we have to leave behind as dead weight. LOL I'm inclined to agree with you, however I want to hear a little bit more on this Travis fellow and get a little more on his story. When I heard that some U.S. soldier "sprinted" across the DMZ...my first fleeting thought was that it was a Black man for several reasons: 1. Running across the border not thinking about being shot...as if he could out run a bullet. Typical "hood" mentality. 2. Who else besides a Black man could find being in the U.S. so harsh and unbearable that he'd decide to give life in NORTH KOREA a chance...lol
  3. Yes, she started on the scene with a lot of controversy, but she has matured. I am hoping to see a more positive persona from her. I heard her speak recently, and she is adorable, IMO.
  4. This is an interesting point! @Pioneer1 And, I agree with it. Ha! @Troy I wonder too about some of this aspect. However, for example, I have read about genetics regarding blood type being associated with types of food that certain humans eat, however, again I believe that 'race' regarding a person's color is arbitrary. Ha! @Pioneer1 White men, meaning genetically, MALES, and their male behaviors; how can you know this? Black African women and Black cultures are in trouble due to lack of responsible Black African males who have sex and then do not provide for their offspring. How can this be dismissed as Black men have more sex drive than White men, and therefore need to have multiple sex partners?
  5. White Christians clearly have a different interpretation of their religion especially as it relates to how they treat other folks. Interestingly, white Christians will sanction murder and be the 1st in line to kill other folks too. @Pioneer1, I believe this fella and Carlee Russell, the young lady who was supposedly missing for a few days are examples of the unintelligent Black folks we have to leave behind as dead weight. 🤣😎
  6. The 2nd half of my post wasn't directed at your quote specifically. Just context within the discussion.😎
  7. Bingo. Dr. Clarke was 100% correct. AfroAmericans should be very wary of other groups of people including other Black folks and people of color. Every other group of people uses AfroAmericans as a stepping stone to getting goodies, giveaways and guarantees. Right now, Native Americans running around in California asking for reparations. Nevermind they've gotten theirs already in the form of land, free education, money and an Easter basket of other sh8t. By the way, their ancestors participated in chattel slavery too. I digress... AfroAmericans have zero business taking sides or getting involved in white folks business. Neither Israel nor Palestine needs help from AfroAmericans; a people incapable of helping themselves. AfroAmericans have enough broken sh8t right here in America. It makes no sense to get distracted and ignore our own issues. AfroAmerican politicians have the greatest responsibility of championing Black folks' concerns and forcing legislation that provides restitution and redress for America's original sin and dismantling the system of racism white supremacy.😎
  8. Hmmm........ Interesting question. I haven't thought about it much but if I had to give an answer right off the top...... I'd have to say that of all of the movies I've seen SO FAR, it would have to be a tie between Spike Lee's Malcolm X and Marvel's Black Panther. Both movies were very inspiring and uplifting for different reasons.
  9. @Pioneer1 effectiveness is another aspect whose definition is not set in stone in the black community, it is complex again. I know you have your definitions as do I, as do all, but the black community isn't about one person's views and to that end, while many black people have definitions akin to yours many black people don't. So the question is how will you + black people who share your views be able to go on and not interfere to black people who don't? On a historical note, the affordable care act is nancy pelosi's not obama's. IT is public record that obama oppossed the bill, but nancy pelosi supported it as it would help women with children who have deadly diseases finally get healthcare/insurance, as the industry banned them beforehand. Obama made a campaign promise that he would do whatever the legislature put forward and pelosi leading the donkey led senate+ house put all the cards in the affordable care act. They lost the senate and everything else was inevitable. @Chevdove a black party of governance is needed in the usa for the black community, but it has one key problem in modernity. A problem that is quite strong. Gardless the reasons why <the reasons are from two sources: the black community + white community> , the black community in the usa at the year 2023 is the farthest from being ready for such an institution. The black community in the usa circa 1865 or before was 100% ready, but from then to now, various things, positive + negative, have molded the black community in the usa into a most complicated form. And communal complexity is the enemy to a functional party in general but definitely of governance. Ala why most people across all demographics in the usa, poll disconnected to either of the major parties. No two communities have the same needs and usually the parts in a single community don't have the exact same needs, but in the usa, you have a trillion communities each with a trillion parts and no policy can be made that will not cause harm to one group or another.
  10. @Chevdove oh yes, remember, the quantity of artist creating who aren't making grand dollars has always been far larger than the number of artists being exposed. I will help you. How many telenovela films in Latin American media per year+ How many films from Nigerian cinema per year+ How many films from the five major Indian<as in asia> cinema per year+ How many films from mainland china per year+ How many films from hong kong per year+ how many films from Japan <t.v. or theatrical > per year+ how many films <t.v. plus streaming + cable+theatrical> per year from Hollywood in the USA+ How many films from independent filmmakers in the usa per year? That alone is a lot, and not exhaustive. I didn't include europe or russia. Many films are made per year. And let alone the backlog. This is why who controls the art that is viewed or ranked is key. They dictate what of the 1% gets access. Well remember, their is a price for being controlled. Look at Europe. To have the greatest freedom one must have control, but that is a bloody thing, it isn't always easy or pretty And like all empires, all empires before and after the usa , the USA benefits from people who accept slavery cause when the cage is gilded https://aalbc.com/tc/profile/6477-richardmurray/?status=2380&type=status
  11. Ok....I'll give you a hint......... The person in the photo....in the words of Joe Biden: AIN'T BLACK. I told you this was where the "identity politics" of trans-genderism was heading. If they can get you to call a man a woman simply because he "identifies" as one.....soon you'll have to call White folks "Black" simply because they "identify" as such.
  12. Well I'll tell you what.......I'm not going to FIGHT over his accomplishments, lol. Because they are so few and so vague. Obamacare initially looked like a promising program to get more poor people insured, but it turned out to be more beauacracy and a sneaky way to give the insurance companies MORE customers by FORCING YOU BY LAW to do business with them and buy their insurance! First he took the PUBLIC OPTION away....then he turned around and MANDATED it!
  13. ProfD Mainly because most Black leaders knew militancy could have led to a race war resulting in the wholesale massacre of most AfroAmericans. Even if they so desired. I think your SECOND explanation may infact be more accurate than your first....lol. IF THEY DESIRED. The fact is, most AfroAmericans don't DESIRE to take up arms against White racists. They feel they're getting too much benefit from them. It reminds me of that scene from "Do The Right Thing" when Buggin' Out ran around trying to get Black folks to boycott Sal's Pizza for it's racism and the niggas ran around laughing at him and clowning him and showed more support for that racist Sal and his even more racist son when they KNEW they were being exploited. Chev I've never heard of this film. Lol...I hadn't either until they posted it. Then I decided to check it out and I LOVED it! I started playing it on the internet in the day time but got 10 minutes into it and decided, NO...this is a movie I need to watch at night on the BIG SCREEN with some snacks...LOL. So I watched it later on that night and didn't get up from it once.
