(signed up just to respond to this idiocy) OP: Okay, since you clearly didn't bother verifying wherever you got your nugget of misinformation before proudly blasting your drivel on a Black Literature Book Club forum, and you were VERY SPECIFIC in stating "ALL" violent crime, let's take a look at the numbers, shall we? Crime statistics in the US can be gleaned from multiple sources, some better or worse than others, but in general, if there is to be what would be considered "official" numbers, that would come from the Uniform Crime Reports produced annually by the FBI. The FBI collects this data from law enforcement agencies throughout the country monthly. So let's start there. link (2019 is most recent year available): https://ucr.fbi.gov/crime-in-the-u.s/2019/crime-in-the-u.s.-2019/tables/table-43 A couple caveats: OP did not specify what he/she considers "violent crime" and types of crime that fall into this category can be debated. In general, though, there are some obvious inclusions, such as murder, rape, and assault. It actually makes no difference as no matter which crimes you stick in the "violent crime" category, the numbers, at least according to the actual, official source, clearly show Whites VASTLY outperforming Blacks in almost every category. Most of the time it's not even close. I could crunch the numbers for you, but I think you could probably, I hope, read and you can see the numbers for yourself quite easily. If you are still too lazy to look at a numbers list or are unable to muster mathematical exercise, the report kindly points out the exact opposite of your original statement. Under Arrests, by Race and Ethnicity, 2019 in the Overview section below the data tables. Items of note that directly relate to your statement: " - White individuals were arrested more often for violent crimes than individuals of any other race and accounted for 59.1 percent of those arrests. " and (here, Blacks did edge out Whites specifically for murder 51.3% to 45.7%; which is a not- "60% of ALL violent crime"): " - Of adults arrested for murder, 51.3 percent were Black or African American, 45.7 percent were White, and 3.0 percent were of other races. " but now we return to Opposite Land: " - White juveniles comprised 50.3 percent of all juveniles arrested for violent crimes, and Black or African American juveniles accounted for 46.4 percent of juveniles arrested for violent crimes. " and: " - White juveniles comprised 56.4 percent of juveniles arrested for aggravated assault. " which I'm assuming could be included in the "violent crime" category. Now, you ARE correct that Blacks make up around 13-14% of the US population and you COULD have made a better, stronger argument if you used "per capita" data rather than your blanket "ALL" violent crime. When looking at the data "per capita" or per numbers of individuals of each race in the population, ala your "14 percent" crowd, the numbers of violent crime per race per capita data definitely changes the optics. But, your original post didn't do that. It used a blanket, "OMG! The Blacks are gonna kill us all! Git rid of them;" mentality and it's a re-hashed, blindly-kneejerk, racist, mouth-fart (or finger-fart?, idk). My advice to you, or anyone else reading or commenting on this topic that looked at that statement and thought "That's right! Of course those are the numbers! I knew it all along!": Stop posting stupid asshat statements that you never verified, or never understood, or stated it because your dormant racism "just has to get out!" because you're so damn mad because you're letting yourself be a sponge for a-holes who really do want nothing in America but White Christians and hey, Blacks are welcome too so long as they're compliant Christians and don't talk too much. Lol....well if that's all they needed.....that's all they GOT. Generic as hell. Might as well get rid of the fancy names for the neighborhoods or blocks and just put a sign up as you come off the avenue that says: HOUSING That's it....lol. Detroit has a FEW of them, but that's mostly in the very inner city. When you move out further from downtown you get way more space......but on the Eastcoast MOST of the city is built like that it seems. When you're driving down the freeway pass some of these neighborhoods on the Eastcoast, there should be signs that simply say: "HOUSING" with an arrow pointed at the neighborhood, because that's all you're gonna get, lol. No backyard, no trees, no recreational facilities.....just rows of buildings with holes in them and doors attached, lol. And streets so narrow....as soon as you open your door and walk outside you have to look both ways to avoid being hit by a car....lol. Houses made RIGHT ON the street. It was a strange experience to visit family and we're sitting up in the living room talking and you see Afros and bald heads bouncing up and down as people walked back and forth pass the window and occasionally looking over into the house at you.....LOL. WTF???? Any nicca can just reach up over through the window and snatch something and run off down the street...lol. Same thing with the bedroom and the alley right behind it. You're in bed sleeping and any nicca walking down the alley can just reach in and slap you upside the head and run off grinning and you wouldn't know WHO did it....lol. You don't get a little space and room to move around until you get to Pittsburgh....lol.

How many White women have been arrest and charge with filing false police reports when they call the police on Black men or women and lie about it? I think this entire story...though not necessarily "made up".....is being USED to deter Black women from making legitimate claims of harassment and abduction out of fear of being arrested and punished if they can't fully prove their case.

Chev for some BLACK PEOPLE, sometimes complaining to HR or managers will absolutely get you fired or cause much more harrassment. I KNOW THIS ON A PERSONAL BASIS! You're absolutely right about this.....sometimes. She said this was what she was afraid of. It was pretty much an all White HR staff and she didn't think they would do anything about it anyway except make him mad and he'd probably try to retaliate....so she didn't want to tell them. Instead she'd tell the men hoping WE'D do something about it. I told her this wasn't high school though. It's not like we can hem him up against a wall or locker with our hands around his throat and threaten him to leave her alone "or else". There could be legal problems. She wanted to do thing the "hood way".....which could get more Black men fired and possibly locked up. The crazy thing about it.....I asked her did she ever just plainly tell him to STOP and be serious about it? She said NO. When I saw them, he indeed WOULD mess with her inappropriately but she'd giggle and play around with an uncomfortable look but never straight faced told him to stop and leave her alone. After a few months she finally did.....and according to her, he stopped and moved on. ProfD Building or fixing requires action. At some point, we have to do the work. When you're repairing a house....sometimes a bad porch or termite infested room needs to just be REMOVED and REPLACED. Don't even both trying to fix it....lol. Even a bad ROOF. Don't bother patching it up over and over again just so every time you fix a leak on THIS end you get another new one on THAT end...lol. Every time it rains, walking down the hallway upstairs is like walking through a carwash....lol. Naaaawww.. Rather than subjecting the entire house to further damage, just tear that sucka off and build a brand new one from scratch. That's how you save the ENIRE house.

SOUF'EECE....lol. Chev And, my Mom was mugged on 17th Street SE walking home from the grocery store. I can't believe you just wrote this. At one time, even the cabs wouldn't come to that side of DC. LOL. Then you know what I'm talking about.....LOL. Them cats were standing in LINE waiting for their turn to rob somebody. Niccaz in gym shoes and Adidas sweat pants stretching and bending getting loose so they can run, snatch a woman's purse or a dude's gold chain right quick...and hop a fence.
