@Pioneer1 wanna hear a funny? Your statement reminded me about a business trip I had to RI. I stopped to have lunch at a seafood restaurant and was literally the only customer in the joint. They were playing alternative music (I’ll call it). After the waiter took my order and retreated to the back, suddenly the music changed to R&B old school. I had to laugh, but appreciate the sentiment. The seafood was delicious, the waiter winked at me as if to take credit for recognizing the disparity and the music was on point…lol gotta love it!

Ofcourse..... Northern states have been more racist than Southern states for about a good 40 to 50 years now. For one thing..... The Black population is much higher in Southern states, so Whites are FORCED to pretty much get along with the Black folks they have to live and work around. In most Northern states, Black folks are pretty much concentrated in urban areas where they are surrounded by White suburbs and even Whiter (is that a word???) rural communities. So it's like the Black communities are under siege in the North. White folks up North pretty much only come around Black folks when they WANT to or HAVE to.....where as down South, they have no choice BUT to live and work around us. Which changes their attitude and methods of dealing with us. Another thing is Black folks seem to have more "love" for eachother in the South. Our culture is stronger and more closer to the roots. We can enjoy eachother's company freely.....and others have to adjust themselves to it. Up North, Black folks are used to adjusting themselves to White middle-class culture and only being free to do our thing when we leave the job or get back to "the hood".

The body count of Catholic clergy perversion has to be unprecedented. Catholic clergy people have gotten my side-eye treatment way before their scandals came to light. As a non-religious but observant person, I've always felt that any group of people who take a vow of celibacy are suspects. Rightly or wrongly, because of the lifestyle they choose to live, I've suspected priests and nuns were homosexuals and lesbians. Considering their interest in young people, I've felt that pedophilia wasn't beyond the Catholic clergy either. Religion and churches are filled with the worst sinners. The stories of their abuses will continue to come out. The fact that the Catholic war chest i.e. wealth is vast enough to cover up their indiscretions for many decades is telling. IMO, children should not be anywhere near the playground of a Catholic church and teenagers shouldn't spend too much time in the rectory. 🤣 Yet, folks have surrendered their children to these people for a very long time under the auspices of God. Yeah right. 😎
